Please don't chat in this thread. You have to set the options at the bottom to view threads from the beginning or so (maybe just the last year), but there are threads for introducing yourself and chatting. This isn't one of them.
Anyway, I wanted to suggest something. It's called NJStar. It's a Chinese word processor, but you can copy and paste anything you see in Chinese and if you hover your mouse over the characters, it'll tell you what they mean. Works better than any dictionary, if you ask me. It also uses input by radical look-up, or pinyin. Copy-and-pasting into something, I believe, is in unicode format which means that others don't have to switch to Big5 or some other format in order to read it, so long as they have Chinese support installed.

They've also got other programs made for English-language computers in order to write or browse in Chinese, as well as Japanese and Korean. I don't know about the rest, but the word processors at least have free versions that are fully functional, they just don't have spiffy fonts or anything.
EDIT: Just checked, they have a free browser and the others are 30-day trials (supposedly ^^; ) But they do have lots of things to help learn and write Chinese, as well as the other languages.
