In a nicely decorated office, Calista, or Callie as she prefers to be called, can be found pacing the floor, talking to her quill as it scribbles away at the parchment on the desk in front of her. Her wirey blonde hair, hanging low, hides her charismatic face behind it.

The office is adorned with pictures of her favorite witches and wizards performing some of the most astounding charms you have ever seen. Each one is a reminder of why Callie loves teaching Charms so much. On the walls, there are several shelves filled with books, magical items, and memorabilia collected from Callie's travels around the world, as well as her time spent in the Ministry of Magic.

In addition, on one shelf in particular, Callie decided to place a few of her favorite momentos from her own time at Hogwarts. She put it there in hopes that when times get tough with students, she'll look at it and remember what it was like to be a student herself. On the shelf you might even spy a picture of a young Callie playing beater on the Gryffindor quidditch team. It's clear from all the red and gold Hogwarts memorabilia on this shelf, her fondness for Gryffindor has never faded.

Her most treasured item however, actually sits upon her desk. It's a music box Callie had as a young girl. Whenever she was upset, her mother would open the music box, wind it up, and sing to Callie as the music softly played along in the background. Callie has since charmed the music box to wind itself up whenever it's opened and play continuously. It's very relaxing for Callie to listen to and a source of endless joy to talk about. Callie would not have survived her first year of teaching at Belle's without it. She was relieved the box made the move back to Hogwart's safely, and is happy to have it proudly displayed on her brand new Hogwart's desk.

A sudden knock on the door interrupts the regular routine, and Callie jumps just a little, causing the quill and parchment she'd been working on to drop to the floor. About to use some choice words, Callie gasps as she notices a student (you) at her door. "Come in! Come in!" you hear her call. "Sit down. How may I help you?" she inquires, swishing her wand to send the quill and parchment, as well as a stack of papers on her desk, flying to the cabinet behind her.

Diana liked Charms.She had watched her father do many extraordinary charms at home.So,she went to the the door of the Charms office.She suddenly felt very nervous.She knocked at the door and waited for being let in.

Lizzie felt excited at the thought of learning charms. Being a muggleborn, she had listened to her new friends talking about charms, and couldn't help but to think that it was amazing. Now she hurried towards the door of the professor's office. With a shy smile on her face, she knocked softly at the door.

Seeing a young Hufflepuff and Gryffindor, Liz knocks on the door and enters when bidden "Hello". Wanting to see all her professors again before classes start, Liz excitedly looks around the office.

Xehanna was excited to have a new teacher for charms. her old one was sooo old and boring. but she still loved charms. she could sense by the way the classroom was decorated this teacher was going to be cool. she noticed 3 other girls waiting for the professor. she walked up to one. "excuse me but what are we waiting for?"

Callie had been so caught up in her writing, she apparently didn't hear any one knocking at her office door. As she paused to gather her thoughts, she looked up and was shocked and slightly embarrassed to see three students waiting at her door.

"Oh, forgive me girls. I didn't even hear you knock. Come right in, come right in. Have a seat and make yourselves comfortable. How can I help you girls today? Are you all together? Or is it just a coincidence you girls have found your way here today?"

Penelope walked up to the Charms door. She was anxious to meet her new teacher, she had liked Charms since she was little, watching her parents make things fly was her favourite childhood memory. She knocked on the door waiting for the proffesor to answer. But just as she did the door opened, she entered along with three other students hidden as she was the smallest. She heard the proffesor ask a question.

'Hello Professor, Im uh Im Penelope, I just wanted to come and meet my new teacher, might I say it's a pleasure'
Penelope looked up at her new Professor.

Diana smiled at the Proffesor,and said,"It was just a coincidence,Professor.I'm Diana....Diana Lynton,a First-year Hufflepuff.I'd like to take up Charms......."she trailed off,waiting for the Professor's reply.

"Good morning Professor Hawkins! Oh, I just met these lovely young ladies just now." Liz smiles at the 2 young girls.

I was just wanting to come and welcome you back to Hogwarts! And show you something I was able to create this past summer with a charm I tried."

Biff Harrington the Third knocks on the professors door.

Emalyn walked cautiously into the office, looking around. There was a quill writing by itself on a desk, to Emalyn's surprise. There were interesting pictures on the wall and it was a very interesting office indeed. Emalyn smiled at the professor and introduced herself.
"Hello, I'm Emalyn Daniels...a first year. You teach Charms? What's that like?"

Demetria walked into the classroom hoping to meet her knew charms teacher. Charms had always facinated her and being a muggleborn she hadn't heard much of it until she met Xeh. Now that she was finally able to learn it, she was ecstatic. As she walked in the saw many students lined up by a door. "The professor must be in there" she thought. It was finally her turn. She walked up to Professor Hawkins and smiled. "Hello Professor. I'm Demetria Weasley. I am so excited about taking Charms this year! I can't wait until class starts." she smiled and hoped Professor Hawkins would reply since she looked busy and had probably seen hundreds of students today.

Hannah walked up to the office door and knocked lightly. Opening it slowly, she peered in. "Hello Professor," she smiled. "I'm Hannah, Hannah Weasley. I'm really looking forward to taking this class this term, so I thought it would be good to introduce myself properly before class started." Oh no, did that sound suck-up-y? Whoops. She wasn't a suck-up. Hopefully Professor Hawkins wouldn't think so. "Brownnoser" wasn't exactly the rep she wanted to start the term out with.

Xehanna walked up to a fellow third year to try and make friends. "Hello. I'm Xehanna. Xehanna Tifadorsely. this shall be a fun class. im excited." She flashed her brilliant smile and laughed a little.

"Hello Penelope, I'm Professor Hawkins, it's very nice to meet you. What brings you by today?" Callie asked as she stretched out her hand and offered the girl a seat.

"Ahhh, well coincidence or not, it's great to have you here. I'm Professor Hawkins, it's nice to meet you, as well. So what can I do for you today?"

"Good morning, and thank you very much for the kind welcome. I must say it's good to be back. It's almost like coming home again, wouldn't you agree?"

Callie laughed as Liz had beaten her to the punch. "I was just going to ask you how your summer was, but it appears it was a good one. I can't wait to see what you were able to do. What charm did you use?"

Callie heard another knock at the door. "My this seems to be a popular place today." Callie quipped. "Come in!" she called out as she looked up to see who was about to walk in.

"Hello Emalyn," Callie smiled returning her attention to the young girl. "A first year? How are you enjoying Hogwarts so far?

"What's it like to teach charms?" Callie asked in surprise. That was a question she was never really asked before. "To be honest, I love it. There's never a dull moment." Callie laughed. As you'll soon learn, I like to put a bit of a spin on your lessons. Learning should be fun and practical and that's exactly what my classes are, or at least I'd like to think that's what my classes are like."


Callie turned toward another young girl addressing her. "Ah, I've missed the hussel and bussel of students coming in and out," she grinned.

"Demtria, is it? I'm Professor Hawkins. It's a pleasure to meet you. What brings you by today?"


"Another Weasley. Wow, I didn't realize there were so many Weasleys still at Hogwarts. How do you do Hannah? I'm pleased you're looking forward to our first class. I promise it will be one you won't soon forget." Callie winked. "I'm actually looking forward to it, too. I can't wait to get started."

"Xehanna? Now that's a different name. It's very pretty." Callie smiled. "I'm pleased to meet you Xehanna.

Callie looked at all the students suddenly crowding the office. "Wow, who knew Charms was such a popular subject. I have to say I'm so glad you guys are all excited about our first class. Was there anything in particular you were looking forward to the most?"

She grinned at the Professor. She seemed to understand Hannah's enthusiasm. "Hmm... I don't know about anything in particular. I'm just looking forward to it all! I didn't get to take this class last term, so I'm excited to do it now. And yup, you know us Weasleys, we're just everywhere," she said with a giggle. "I must be related to half of the school!"

Diana smiled and replied,"Hello,Professor Hawkins.I wanted to take up Charms and I'm looking forward for the first class.I thought I should meet you for it.May I join the classes from the next day?"

"It was a charm my mum had made when she was here at Hogwarts. I was reading a letter she had written to me before she died, and she told me how to use it." Here I'll show you.

Liz pulls a butterfly that she had drawn from her bag, and taps it with her wand "papillonionis". Letting go of the butterfly, it flutters away and around the room.

"My mum used to be very good at charms when she was a student. I'm hoping to be just like her! I don't know if you knew her, her name was Francoise Weasley, her grandmother was Hermione Weasley-Granger.

'Hello Professor Hawkins it's nice to meet you'
Penelope stopped and breathed.
'Oh, I just wanted to meet my new teacher before classes started,'

Lizzie waited as the other girls talked to the teacher, she was in no hurry at all. As she waited she looked around, the office was full of pictures of witches and wizards preforming charms. Amazed Lizzie watched the pictures, and suddenly it was her turn. "Good morning professor Hawkins, I'm Lizze Evans, first year Gryffindor. I just wonder if there's anything I should do before comming to class. Should I sign up somewhere or something like that? I'm a bit new at the whole wizarding thing, 'cause professor see, I'm a muggleborn and I didn't know..." she stopped all of a sudden, realising she had spoken to fast again. It always happened when she got a bit too excited about something. Blushing slightly she looked at the professor.
