Okay guys, sorry it took me so long! Ive been taking longer and longer these days! I know everyone says this, but Ive been busy! lol
Okay so, I actually really enjoyed writting this chapter! Im not sure why, I just liked it! Its not that long, but I hope you enjoy!! Remus rubbed his hands together nervously as he sat alone in a small train compartment. The station scene with his parents had been sad. You could still see the puffiness in the boy’s eyes from the emotional goodbye. Remus had never been apart from his parents for very long, and in a way he wasn’t looking forward to school. Remus was dangerous. He was beginning to doubt the old Headmasters plans, whatever they were. Sitting alone to contemplate on his thoughts was not good; it made him look past his own desires and on to the safety of his fellow students. He looked out the train window and saw so many… victims. They didn’t have a chance with a werewolf around. Remus took a death breath, and instead of looking noble, like he was trying to appear, he just looked miserable. He slowly dragged himself off his seat and began grabbing his stuff. How could he stay? No, he wouldn’t, couldn’t put anyone in danger.
Just then Remus heard his compartment door slide open. He looked over to see a mousy haired boy with beady eyes. He was short and a little plump. He had a grapefruit in one hand and a much too small cage for a much too big toad in his other hand.
“Oh, well… hello. Sorry if… ummm… could I sit here?” The boy asked.
Remus wasn’t quite sure what to say. This boy looked about his age. Should he just walk out, leave the boy by himself. Remus began thinking quickly. In his mind, he was being selfish, but he wanted nothing more than to use this boy’s interference with his escape as an excuse to stay; go to Hogwarts like he dreamed. After what might have seemed like a really awkward moment for the plump boy, Remus answered. “Sure.” He said a little sadly, knowing that his decision had put people in danger, possibly this boy before him! “I’m mean, yes of course! My name is Remus Lupin!” He suddenly changed his tone, noticing the hurt look on the boys face. After Remus seemed excited the boy smiled.
“Thanks! I’m Peter!” He said, sitting down and setting his toad next to him. “I’m a first year…are you?” He asked, trying to make conversation.
Remus was no longer thinking about dangers; he just wanted to make Peter feel welcome. “Yeah, I am!” He said smiled warmly.
Peter smiled at his response. “Well, great!” He said his face lighting.
“What’s your toad’s name?” Remus asked looking at the oversized amphibian.
“Bludger!” Peter said lifting the cage up to his chubby face looking at him. “My dad got him for me! He… named him too….” Peter said blushing. “He likes Quidditch.”
“I like it. It fits him!” Remus said truthfully. Bludger well… in a way looked like a bludger! He was brown with small green specs and was very round.
“Thanks!” Peter said, looking happier and more comfortable. He set the toad back down.
Remus smiled, actually feeling more comfortable himself; enjoying himself.
“So, how’d ya get that scare on your cheek?” Peter asked him as if with admiration. I guess you could say that to an 11 year old boy a 5 inch scare would be something to be proud of. Remus instantly stiffened. That had been the second person that had asked him about his scars, what if everyone asked him the same question, what if they figured out his secret! He was panicking. But then suddenly, as if Peter didn’t even notice his panic attack, the boy began rolling up the bottom of his pants. On his shin was a small 2 inch scar that had seemed to have time to heal so it was a light pink shade. Peter looked up proud.
“I got this one fallin’ down a flight a stairs!” He said enthusiastically. Remus breathed easy, but Peter seemed to notice. “What’s wrong? Oh, do bad scars make you sick?” Peter asked. Remus smiled as Peter said his scar was bad; if he wanted bad he should check out his back!
“Oh, I’m fine! I was just going to say I got mine falling off my muggle bike back home!” He said.
Peter seemed to believe him. “Yeah, I have one of those! Hard to hang on to!” He said, and then blushed.
Remus laughed. “Yes, they are!” He said. | |

Okay, Can you believe it, I have another post for you already!!! I couldnt stop writing!! Im too excited about everyone meeting and getting to Hogwarts! Here ya go! “Sirius Black!” Sirius heard his mother scream from downstairs. He heard Regulus snicker. He sighed. Sirius grabbed his luggage and made for the door. He turned around to take one last look at his bedroom; his only hiding place. He smiled and left.
When Sirius got downstairs his mother was there, the usual stern gaze on her attractive face. Regulus was standing next to her smirking. He had decided he wanted to go at the last minute because he knew Sirius would hate it!
“Are you ready yet?” Regulus sneered.
“You see my bags don’t you?” Sirius replied, just as nastily.
“Good, then, let’s go. I have errands to run today!” Mrs. Black said, motioning her two sons forward for the apparration. His Mother always said she had errands to run when she wanted to get something over with.
Sirius walked over to her and felt himself being pulled to another place. When he opened his eyes he was in what he assumed to be Kings Cross Station. He looked up and saw the numbers 9¾. He smiled. There were so many people there already!
Sirius turned to his mother. He knew this goodbye would be short, nothing too painful on her side. She would want to get it over with quickly, with no emotion. He took a deep breath. “Well, bye then.” He said to her, and then he turned to Regulus. “I guess I only have a few years of freedom at Hogwarts, I better enjoy it!” Sirius said, smiling at his little brother. He hadn’t given his family a true smiled since he was little. “Umm, I guess I’ll miss you.” He said awkwardly.
Mrs. Black looked as if she had sniffed a horrible stench. “Goodbye son. Make us proud.” She pulled Sirius into a side hug and then quickly let go. Sirius wasn’t sure, but he might have felt some little bit of emotion in that short hug. He shrugged.
Regulus just smirked, he said nothing.
“Bye.” Sirius said again. He walked to the train entrance and pulled his trunk through with him. He gave one last wave and then disappeared in the train.
Sirius gave a heave as he lifted his large black trunk into the upper storage of the compartment. He sat down and let things sink in. He was alone, really alone. He was going to Hogwarts, the only place his parents couldn’t be, the only place he could get away from Regulus! This was really going to be great! He smiled and leaned back.
Sirius heard laughing outside his compartment, he looked out the door and a boy with messy black hair was heading his direction. “Hey mate, mind if I sit with you?” The boy asked.
“No, go ahead!” Sirius said standing. “Need help with that?” Sirius asked, looking at the boy’s trunk.
“Sure, thanks.” He said. “I’m James!” James said.
“Hey James, I’m Sirius!” He said, giving James a smile. The two grabbed a side of the trunk and lifted it to its place. When it was secured the boy grabbed Sirius’s hand and gave it a shake.
“Nice to meet you!” He said, pushing his glassed up to the rim of his nose.
Sirius smiled. “You too!” He said taking a seat the same time James did. “So, what were you laughing about?” He asked.
The boy named James eyes lit up mischievously. “I just played the ultimate prank on my mum!” He said shifting his body to face Sirius. Sirius did the same, completely interested now.
“What did you do?” he asked smiling. Sorry about the shortness! | |
