Oh My Goodness!! you guys are awesome, thanks for being so patient. (And my birthday isn't THAT big a deal) My computer has been very frusterating, like I would be typing, and then it would just shut down, and when it started to work again, I would have to start all over! So, again, thanks for your patience, and finally, after over two weeks. . .(Drum role please). . . CHAPTER FIVE!!

In thoghs doors was a place like no other. There were hundreds of thousands of candles floating above four wooden tables, were the other students were sitting. On these tables sat very shiny plates and goblets.At the front of the hall was another table were the teachers were sitting. The first years followed Professor Mcgonagall, who was leading them up to this table. When they got there, The first year's backs were on the teachers and all the other students were staring at them.
Neville croched behind Hermione, He hated being stared at. He looked up, trying to get all thoghs(sp) eyes off him, but instead of seeing the cieling, he saw night, sparkled with stars here and there. Hermione must of saw him, she then looked at him and said, "It's bewitched to look like the sky out side, I read it in Hogwarts, A History. Neville looked back up at it. It was hard to believe There was any ceiling up there at all, and that it just didn't open up to the outside world.
Neville looked back down to see Professor McGonagall placing a stool in front of the first year with what looked like a very old, patchy, pointy wizards hat on it.
I wounder what that has to do with the sorting. Thaught Neville. Out of no were, the hat rip in the hat opened and out came. . .

The whole hall bursted into applause as the Sorting Hat finished his song.

Oh, Neville thaught, so all we have to do is try on a hat! That problem is out of the way, but what house am I going to be in? If the at hat can see every thing, then he'll know I have no bravery, or courage, like Gryffindors do! I'm more patient and loyal, but he couldn't help that! but, isn't that a good thing?

While Neville faught with himself, Mcgonagall had gotten in front of the hall, carring a stoolwith an old hat on it. She also had a long roll of parchment in her hand. "When I call your name," She said, "You will come and try on the hat, sit on the stool, and be sorted into your house. . ."Abott, Hannah"

Neville watched closly as a girl with blond pigtails came out of the line and put the hat on her head. . .
"HUFFLEPUFF!" The hat shouted, Hannah took the hat off her head and skipped over to a cheering table on the right.
"Bones, Susan"
"Hufflepuff" shouted the hat again. Susan skipped over to join Hannah.
"Boot, Terry"
Ravenclaw" The secound table from the left cheered this time.
"Brockhurst, Mandy" went to Ravenclaw, But "Brown Lavender" was the first Gryffindor and the table on the far left exploted with cheers.

"Bulstrock, Millcent" Became Slytherin. No madder how badly Neville didn't want to become Hufflepuff, He would chose that over Slytherin any day. There hasn't been one bad wizard or witch that didn't come from Slytherin.
"Thomas, Dean"
"Fin-Fletchey, Justin!"
"Hufflepuff"
Neville noticed that some people had to sit on the stool longer than others. Like for "Finnigan, Seamus", a sandy haired boy, It took almost a minute before the hat called "Gryffindor"
"Granger, Hermione"
"Gryffindor" Hermione skipped off happily, on the train, she said that was the house she wanted to be in, and now that she was in it, Neville wanted to be in it even more.
"Longbottom, Neville" Neville gulped, this was him. He stepped out of line and started to walk up the stairs were the sorting hat was. He could feel the eyes following his every move, which made him nervess, he tripped. He quickly stood up again and ran the last couple of steps. he put the hat on his head and sit down on the stool. His eyes were closed tight, and all he could think was , Please Gryffindor, Please Gryffindor. If the Sorting Hat could see anything, it would be able to see that.

Neville sat there while the Hat mumered something to himself. It seemed to be taking a lifetime, but just as that thaught left Neville's mind, the hat called, "GRYFFINDOR!!"

Neville couldn't believe it! Gryffindor? He got up and started to run torwds the cheering table, but had to run back and hand the hat to a boy name "MacDougal, Morag"
Neville sat by Seamus as everyone one watched everyone be sorted.

Malfoy. . . "Slytherine"
. . . "Moon". . . "Nott". . . Parinson. . .
Twins name Patil and patil. . .Perks. . .
"Potter, Harry"
Everyone was paying close attention as Harry as he sat on stool and put the hat on his head. It took a wile, but after a while the called, "GRYFFINDOR!"

The Gryffindor table cheered like crazy as Harry went and sat by Neville.

Now only three people were left to be sorted. "Turpin, Lisa" Was in Ravenclaw. "Weasley,Ron", from the train and boat, Was in Gryffindor, and "Zabini, Blaise", was in Slytherin.

Ok, I'm sure there is alot of spelling errors here, so if you see any, just tell me and I will fix them. Sorry, again, for the time amount to put this up. I go to school and hang out with friends, and when I finally am on the computer, it seemes to not work. So patience is appreciated. . .
