“Shh Albus, she can’t wake up!”

“We’re going to get into so much trouble!”

“It’ll be worth it! I promise!”

Lily started to turn in her bed, causing both James and Albus to stop moving in her bedroom. Once they had realised that she wasn’t waking up, they continued towards her bed with a bucket full of cold water. “One, two… THREE!” James yelled as he and Albus poured the water onto Lily’s head. “Happy Birthday Sis!”

Lily screamed. She was soaked and so were her bed sheets, which had been so nice and warm.

“I’m telling mum!” The boys ran out of her bedroom as Ginny Potter rushed in.

“What happened?” she asked, as she waved her wand, drying the sheets.

“The boys threw a bucket of water on me,” Lily cried as she walked over to her wardrobe and started to pick out her clothes for the morning. Ginny walked over and gave her a hug.

“Don’t worry hunny, Daddy and I will deal with your brothers. Right now, why don’t you get changed and then come down to the kitchen. We had some mail arrive earlier,” Ginny broke off and left Lily’s room, leaving the new eleven year old to fill in the blanks.

“What? Do you mean my letter?! Mum, has my letter come?” Lily threw on a pair of jeans and a nice purple tank top and ran down the stairs. She paused in the kitchen doorway though, as she watched her brothers being told off by her parents.

“James Sirius! Albus Severus! How could you? On her birthday as well!” Ginny said as she prepared breakfast for everyone.

“It was just a bit of fun!” James protested. Lily had to giggle, she really didn’t mind now, but she wasn’t going to get her brothers off the hook.

“A bit of fun that upset your sister and in doing so, upset your mum and I,” Harry said. He was grinning though, so Lily knew that both boys weren’t going to be punished.

“Lily!” exclaimed Albus as he saw his little sister in the doorway. “Sorry about the water, we just couldn’t wait for you to wake up. Especially when three brown owls arrived with letters for some people,” he said as he held up a brown envelope with Lily’s name on it.

“Give me,” Lily cried as she tore the letter from her brother’s hand. She turned it over and saw the crest of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. “Yes, it’s here, it’s here!” She ripped it open and read the first lines of the letter out loud for everyone to hear, “Dear Miss Potter, We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry!”

Thanks Charlie! Lily is meant to be cute, I mean she is the only girl and is spoiled for looking like a mixture of Harry's mum and Ginny. (Harry's two favourite women)

Glad you love it! Albus and James are sort of Ron and Harry now, at the end of the last book, Al seems really scared and nervous, but he grows up during Hogwarts and becomes like his brother!

Jay!!! The tackle hurt! Thanks for reading! Right, Lily is the person in the centre (duh)! The two boys with black hair are James (at the top) and Albus (at the bottom)! The other boy with red hair is Hugo and the girl with blonde curls is Rose!

“Congratulations!” yelled Ginny as she gave her youngest a hug. Harry, James and Albus just stood there grinning at one another, watching the mother-daughter scene.

“I thought it wouldn’t come,” said Lily truthfully as she pulled away from the hug and looked at her family. “I honestly thought that once again I would have to watch my brothers go to Hogwarts without me!”

“Why wouldn’t you be accepted?” asked James incredulously.

“Yeah, I mean after all, it’s not as if every other Weasley and Potter has been accepted into Hogwarts. Why would you not be accepted?” Albus asked walking over to his sister and ruffling her hair. He had grown more confident over the past year, partly due to being at Hogwarts and also to James and his older cousins teaching him to calm down.

“What your brothers are trying to say,” Harry said as he walked up to his daughter, “is that we are all very proud of you!” He picked her up into a hug and kissed her forehead, “now what are your mum and I meant to do during the day?” he asked her jokingly.

“I don’t know,” Lily said, shrugging her shoulders. That made everyone laugh, Lily’s innocence even at eleven was convincing; it was her gift that was everyone else’s weakness.

“Well, this is even more of a reason to celebrate,” said Ginny as they all sat down to breakfast. “It’s a good thing I bought enough food for the party today.”

Lily was feeling very happy as she sat and ate her pain au chocolat. She had been accepted into Hogwarts, her family was coming over for a party to celebrate her birthday and knowing her dad, one of her presents was going to be a broom; well hopefully anyways! “I’m going to go and get ready,” she told everyone as she got up from the table and put her plate in the sink.

“What do you need to do?” asked Albus. “You’re already dressed and your hair is already done.” He didn’t understand why his little sister was starting to care so much about what she looked like.

“My hair was done, until you messed it up!” retorted Lily with a laugh. “And if you haven’t noticed, we’ve just eaten so I need to do my teeth.”

“Leave your sister alone Al,” Harry told him. “She just wants to look good on her birthday.” To be truthful though, Harry was sort of concerned as well on why Lily was starting to care about her appearance. “Why don’t you and James go and set out the tables, while I help your mum with the food. Uncle Ron and Aunt Hermoine will be here with Rose and Hugo in an hour. Off you go,” he said pointing towards the door.

Lily ran upstairs and did her hair and teeth before walking back downstairs, catching the remains of her parents’ conversation. “I’m just worried she’s growing up too fast!” her dad whispered.

“She’s not, we just don’t want to admit that’s she’s growing up,” she heard her mum reply as she gave Harry a hug.
