this is my second FF and I hope you read it.
its probably seems really rubbish but please I accept all criticism but dont slate my FF off because its bad. No matter how many pages I want to get to I would appreciate it if they were nice comments for someone to read through

Chapter 1

Hey. What are you doing in my head? Never mind. I’m Tamzin. Tamzin-Lianne Wood to be exact. Tamzin after.. well. Im not too sure. I think its because my grandpa was called Tom and my granny Tourzin. Odd name huh? Well mix the two and you sort of get Tamzin. Lianne is after my auntie. She calls me Tammy and I call her Lee-Log. For some odd reason. Its my birthday today. 11 today. To be honest with you I might not really be 11 today but that’s what my mum says. Its been 10 years since she adopted me and changed my name she wont tell me why she changed it. Maybe she liked her surname added to mine. Im not entirely sure. I don’t want to ask her yet. Why am I babbling? You wanted to know what im talking about right?

So I was just walking downstairs and my mum screamed. “Tam, tam. Come down here.”

“Im coming im coming alright?” Does she have to yell? It may be my birthday but im not as deaf as her. God shes like 90 odd. Im not too sure. In 10 years I never asked my mum her age. Never mind its my day.

I walked into the living room and smiled at her. “SURPRISE.” It was 11am and I had a surprise party. There wasn’t a lot of people there I didn’t know many. Apart from my neighbours Sabrina and Draconis Dumbledore and Magesta Lockwood. I told these three everythinhg. Apart from the fact I was adopted. I didn’t mention that. This was my family and I didn’t care that they wernt my biological ones.

Enough nattering Tam. Get on with it. Sorry. I talk to myself a lot. Have you realised that?

My party was really good. My auntie brought me this lovely necklace that lets me talk to her when I want to. Its fantastic. Not that I will use it. But I wont tell her that.

Sabrina and Draconis got me some books. I don’t know why. Magesta just allows you to tell her what you want and I said nothing. So that’s what she got me.

Finally my mums present. A letter. How fantastic. “Is it.. my tickets for the concert I wanted to go to.” She shook her head. I was really confused. She never got me something I didn’t want. I was spoilt.

I looked at the front. Okay. My name. My exact address.

Now that’s scary. Don’t you think? I turned it over slowly and looked at my friends. They all had matching grins plastered on their faces. Why wasn’t I in on the secret? How I wanted to be.

A stamp. Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I looked at them and a grin spread across my own face as I took the letter out.

Miss Wood,

I am writing to let you know that you have been accepted at Hogwarts School and will start term on the first of September. Congratulations and I hope you do enjoy your education here. Please remember no first year is allowed a broomstick. They will be provided for your lessons. Feel free to bring a pet. Either and owl,toad,cat or rat. Good luck in the sorting.

I looked up and yelped. “I GOT IN.” I screamed out and watched as my 3 friends all pulled their letters out of their back pockets in unison and smiled at her. Her aunt was already suffocating her while hugging her and her mother too had joined the hug.

Finally they broke away and she rushed to her friends. “You got in aswell?”

“Yup.” Sabrina giggled at their answer in unison and the 4 burst out laughing before helping themselves to a plate full of nibbles.

Chapter 2

I had a sleepover that weekend. Just me Magesta and Sabrina. Draconis was a boy. I couldn’t invite him. No matter how much he was my best friend. I think it was around 6 am when we finally went to sleep but I didn’t budge even when my mum shouted me in the morning. We were so tired but when my mum mentioned we were going out shopping with everyone for our school supplies I smiled and got up about an hour later. I may have been excited but boy do I need sleep.

Little did I know everyone meant me my mum and my aunt. I said bye to Magesta and Sabrina and we went off. Floo powder. Have you ever used that? It tickled my nose and I burst out giggled. And then I started choking as I swallowed some dust. Not very tasty so don’t do that alright?

I took out my list after my mum went off to get something. I dint know what it was but I had my hunches. Maybe it was my real birthday present. The letter wasn’t much. Was it?

We went in quite a few shops trying on random clothes and a lot of giggling. My aunt is like a sister to me. I love her to bits. Do you ever feel that about someone?

My list really didn’t seem too complicated. Imaginary yes but not complicated.

You will need the following to complete your first year at Hogwarts:

Two sets of black robes.
One black cauldron.
One wand.
Two black hats.


And other stuff like that. I wasn’t bothered about the rest of the stuff all I wanted was my wand. Just to have control over something in your hand that is rightfully yours.

We had to go to a shop called Madam Malkins. Some shop for robes. There was a girl standing up there while her mother was paying for her robes. I walked up to her cautiously and smiled. “Hey. Im Tamzin.” She looked at me with curiosity and I got ready to walk away.

“No wait. Im Eva.” She smiled at me and turned around to face me. She was really pretty. I didn’t say anything but smiled again. She looked toward my aunt and nodded. “Your mum?”

“No. My aunt. My mum went off to get my birthday present.” I giggled and looked at her. She looked around my age. “Are you going to Hogwarts?” I asked hoping not to offend her.

“Yeah. Are you?”
“Yeah I start this September with my friends.”
“Me too. I mean not with my friends though.” I smiled at her honesty and looked toward my aunt who was engaged in conversation with Eva’s mum about robes. I looked at Eva and she looked at me. We both giggled. Through the corner of my eye I saw Brina, Draconis and Magesta outside. I waved at them as they came in and introduced them to Eva.

“Everyone this is Eva.” I said motioning my hand to Eva.
“Eva this is everyone. I mean Magesta Lockwood. Draconis and Sabrina Dumbledore.” I said motioning to each of my friends.

They sais an odd hello and I looked at my aunt who already ahd my robes. She hadn’t even measured me. But they would fit. They always did.


I know its not so good but its all I can do atm. I dont think this FF is working. What dya think?

When we left the train we realised it was time to be sorted buit first we had to get on the boats. God I hated them. We all stayed together while Draconis went off talking to some boy I dont know. Ill probably meet him sooner or later. Smiling at Eva , whom I had ntoiced was as worried as I was, I mumbled a barely recognisable. "Youre sure to be with the one of us. Dont look so scared." She didnt answer but I took it as she would be fine after a while.

We were all fumbling to get into one boat and Brina slipped. I grabbed her hand quick enough so she was okay. I didnt even look behind me as Draconis had already fallen in. We all stiffled a giggle as our boat was pushed off. None of us spoke the full way there. We were too scared. Brina was shaking and her head lay on my shoulder. She even commentedf on how bony it was. How stupid is that. Why did she not take her head off then? Odd girl (sorry jem)

I cant remember teh next half hour. All a blur until my sorting. Sabrina was in Gryffindor and Draconis in Slytherin. Magesta was just going up and she was sorted into Ravenclaw. Eva was after me but as I slowly walked up I got the shakes. God. I always had them when I was little. But I managed to finally sit on the stool and have the brim of the hat placed over my eyes. Why was it so dark? Im scared of teh dark atre you? The hat was silent for ages and ages and I was scared I wouldnt be placed anywhere. I heard it shout out Hufflepuff and began my way over to the table taht was roaring with excitment. I didnt make it though. As I walked past Brina to sit down at my own table I felt my legs buckle beneath me and I felt myself fallign to the ground smacking my head on a chair as I went down.

The next thing I remember is waking up in the Hospital Wing with everyone standing around me fumbling about.

"Shhh. You'll wake her." Magesta poked Sabrina who was doing impressions of a bird.
"Gerroff me Mag. Shes awake anyway." I grinned as much as I could and opened my eyes gfully.


"Morning loveys." My usual mornign trait. I looked as their faces dropped. I looked at Eva - who had been sorted into Huffleopuff- to Sabrina and the to Mag. Gawsh. Somethign was wrong. "What happened?"

Magesta and Sabrina looked at each other then back at me. "Youve been diagnosed with something called Epilesy. You had a fit." I sighed. Why me?

The nurse bussled in and smiled at them all. "Im sorry m'lovelys she will need her rest. But I would like you to fetch her timetable and a change of clothes. She will be accompaning you Miss Eva to your lessons tommorow and you will keep a watchful eye on her."

Eva nodded and walked out with the others only to return a minute later to tell me everyone was looking when I fell and a boy had came over. Trust her. Only Eva would say that.
