Chapter 1


Dear Diary,

Today is my birthday. It is the best and worst day of my life. The best part is I got my acceptance letter to Hogwarts. The worst is I found out that my mother was one of the escapee's from Azkaban. Aunt Andromeda and Uncle Ted told me not to worry about it and have fun today. Tonks is still teaching me how to morph correctly. The Cullens are supposed to come over for my birthday, they usually do but I'm not sure. I mean I've only known them since I was eight and a half. Got to go, bye.

Great Start!

Okay, since there are comments I will post.

Tonks walked in, sat down on my bed and asked,"What color should we put your hair?"
"How about black with pink highlights?"
"That would be perfect for your birthday party,"she said.
"Thanks, I can't wait to see what everyone got me, I mean I got the new diary from Aunt Andromeda and Uncle Ted, but what did you get me?"
"You'll have to wait until the Cullen's get here,"she said.
"Fine,"I said.
I changed my hair color and Tonks left the room while I got out a book to read. Five minutes later I ran into the living room which shocked Uncle Ted because he didn't see me until I stopped. "They're here,"I announced.
Sure enough two minutes later you could hear two cars pull into the driveway. I ran to the door and opened it before they were able to knock. The first one to the door was Edward. I hugged him and he whispered,"You smell more like one of those dogs every time I see you."
"You know it's not my fault,"I whispered back.
Right behind him was Bella. Then Jasper and Alice, then Emmett and Rosalie. Finally Carlisle and Esme. I greeted them all with a hug and moved out of the way so they could come in.
"Time to open presents,"Tonks said excitedly, I might add.
I opened the present Tonks gave me and it said: Shapeshifting, for the advanced Metamorphagus.I thanked her and went on to the next present. It was from Edward and Bella. I opened it to find a glass figurine of a Hungarian Horntail. The next was from Emmett an Rosalie, it was a necklace with miniature silver dragon claw holding a small crystal ball hanging from it. Alice and Jasper got me a bracelet with my name engraved on it. Carlisle and Esme got me an orb that shows the name and a picture of the nearest werewolf. After I thanked them and they left I told my aunt, uncle and cousin I would be back in time to go to Diagon Alley tomorrow and I left also.

It's not much but I'm doing my best. thanks for the comments Jemma and wormtail32!

I sooo wish for the Cullens to come for my birthday...

When we went to Diagon Alley I told Aunt Andromeda that I wanted to go to Ollivander's last. So we went to go get my books first and then my other things. When we entered Ollivander's he was sitting behind the counter. He looked up when we entered and said,"I wondered when I would be seeing you Miss Black."
He got up and went down a hallway full of long boxes. He pulled one out and came back to the front. He opened it, pulled a wand out of it and handed it to me. I waved it and sparks flew out of it.
"Curious, very curious,"he said.
"What's curious?"I asked.
"This wand has the exact same wood as your mother's and the exact same core as your father's, hawthorne and dragon heartstring,"he explained.
Uncle Ted handed him the money and we headed home.


When I got home I went to my room and was surprised to find a white speckled owl sitting on my bed inside of a cage. There was a card on it and it read: Happy Birthday, her name is Gypsy,

Draco Malfoy

Why would Draco suddenly get me a present when he hasn't ever before,I thought. I started reading the book Tonks got me while Tonks was packing my new things into my trunk. I couldn't wait until I got to get on the Hogwarts Express tomorrow.

Who do think her mother is?

I get what your saying but they don't have the same father!

my computer hates me, I had the next chapter ready and it just shut down.

will post more around 1, 2 or 3 in the morning.

"Welcome to Hogwarts. Now in a few minutes you will pass through these doors and join your classmates. But before you can do that you must be sorted into your houses. There's Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. We will begin momentarily," said Professor McGonagal before she walked away.
"So it's true then, what they're saying on the train. Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts. This is Crabbe and Goyle, and I'm Malfoy, Draco Malfoy,"a boy said.
Ron and I both snorted when he said his name. He rounded on Ron first.
"Do you think my name's funny do you? No need to ask your's, red hair and a hand-me-down robe, you must be a Weasely."
He never got to finish what he was going to say because I said,"Shut up Malfoy."
He turned to me and said,"Who are you?"
"I can't believe you forgot me Draco,"I said innocently as I changed my hair to blonde with pink highlights, my favorite hair color when I was five.
"Rogue,?"he asked.
"The one and only, dearest cousin,"I said.
He turned back to Harry and said,"You'll soon find that some wizarding families are better than others,you don't want to go making friends with the wrong sort."
"I think I can tell the wrong sort for my self thanks,"he said.
McGonagal walked back out and said,"We're ready for you now, follow me."
She led into the Great Hall and had us wait in front of the steps.
"Now when I call your name you will come forward, I will place the sorting hat on your head and you will be sorted into your houses,"she began."Rogue Black."
Every teacher leaned slightly to see where the daughter of Gryffindor's nicest boy and Slytherin's meanest girl, even the ghosts were interested.
I walked up to her and sat down on the stool. When the hat was on my head it spoke to me in my mind. I've been waiting to sort you and now I finally get to. You have so much of your father in you but you have some of your mother as well, not as much but it's in there. Where should I put you in Slytherin like your mother or in Gryffindor like your father? I know better be GRYFFINDOR! The Gryffindor table applauded and I sat down by one the the two identical red-heads.
"Susan Bones" Hufflepuff
"Hermione Granger" Gryffindor
"Draco Malfoy" Slytherin I wasn't surprised.
"Harry Potter" Gryffindor
"Ronald Weasely" Gryffindor

I don't care about posts right now I just want to write my story so here you go.

After Dumbledore made his speech and we were halfway through the meal did Ron decide to introduce me to his three brothers.
"This is Percy, George and Fred," he said pointing to each.
I said hi and looked back down at my empty plate. "Why aren't you eating Rogue?"Fred asked.
"I'm not hungry,"I replied.
I took in a deep breathe and froze, there was someone who smelled very different to me. I just didn't know who. I looked around to see if anyone noticed that I had frozen for a couple minutes. The person closest to me was Fred and when he leaned away at any time the stength of the scent lessened then stregthened when he wasn't leaning anymore. Everyone had a distinct scent to me and Fred's was like.. like oh I don't know how to describe it. I tried not to breathe but it is just to disturbing.

When Percy and the other prefects led us to the Gryffindor common room. It was bigger than my house and that doesn't count the dormitories.(sp?) No one wanted to go to bed and I was lucky that I couldn't. After every first year but me went to bed I brought the book down that Tonks got me.
"What's that?" someone asked.
I looked up to see who was talking and said,"a book."
It was Fred and he said,"No what is it called?"
"Shapshifting, for the advanced metamorphagus,"I said.
"You're a metamorphagus?"he asked.
"Of course,"I said and I changed my hair to a fiery red just like every one in his family.
"Wicked,"he said and I blushed slightly.
I went back to reading my book. He went back talking to George and Lee. What was that all about,I thought.

After every one but me went to bed I decided to send a letter to Tonks. I went to get some parchment and began writing:

Tonks,

I'm in Gryffindor!! I am friends with Harry Potter also. I also wanted to thank you again for the book. I have a question. Do you know the Weasley family? I heard you mention thte name once or twice but I just wanted to know because there are four Weasleys here this year and next year there will be five. I made friends with Fred, George and Ron Weasley. also a girl named Hermione Granger. Just wanted to keep you up to date.

I got Gypsy from her perch and tied the letter to her leg.
"Take this to Tonks and don't let anyone else take it,"I said.
She ruffled her feathers in understanding and flew out the open window. I sat down in one of the chairs and stared into the fire for a few minutes until someone walked in the common room and sat down beside me. I looked over to see...
