Hi, this is my second FF. It is written partly from Grindelwald's perspective but mostly from Dumbledore's. This FF does contain some information that could give away some things from the seventh book, so if you havn't read it yet you might not want to read this.

Chapter 1: Goat Dung

Grindelwald traced his finger slowly over the triangular eye-like shape he had so carefully etched in the wall three years before. All the long hours of work he had put into his brilliant plan had gone to waste. They had kicked him out of school. He got a better grip on his heavy luggage and walked out the front door, and without looking back at his former home, his beloved school, he turned on the spot and disappeared into thin air.

Many miles away a young man with elbow length auburn hair stood in front of a small cream colored cottage, watching the sun slowly climb into the sky. He knew that today was the day. Today Elphius was leaving for his site-seeing trip, and he, Albus Dumbledore, should be going too. But the untimely death of his mother had left him in charge of the house. Suddenly, there was a loud CRACK. Albus turned around to see a glob of goat dung flying through a newly shattered window on the second story of his house. Aberforth's room. He ducked just in time, instead of hitting him in the face, the glob merely knocked off his hat. Dumbledore quickly cleaned of his hat, repaired the window, and walked upstairs to talk to Aberforth. No sooner had he reached the door then there was a second CRACK. He glanced angrily up at the window expecting to see the newly repaired window broken again, but the window was whole, and unharmed. Then what had caused.........................................

"Um.......... Excuse me." said a voice from the direction of the street.

Dumbledore whipped around to see a tall, blond boy holding an absurdly large trunk.

"I'm looking for," he peered at a slip of white paper, "Miss Bathilda Bagshot."

Dumbledore gave the stranger one of his famous piercing stares and, deciding that this boy was worthy of receiving an answer, pointed toward the end of the street.

"Ms Bagshot lives all the way down at the other end of the street, number 208. I'll take you down, if you like." The tall boy grinned and Dumbledore took an end of the trunk.

"I'm Grindlewald." Said the tall boy.

"Dumbledore."

"I'd shake your hand," he nodded at the trunk they were holding. "But my hands are otherwise occupied." Dumbledore smiled, but said nothing until they reached number 208.

"This is the house." he said.

"It was a pleasure to meet you."

"Likewise." said Dumbledore. He waited until Grindelwald had entered Ms Bagshot's house and then he returned to his house, goat dung and site-seeing trip forgotten.

Chapter 1 Part 2

Dumbledore walked slowly into the hall of his cottage. His high-heeled buckled boots made a clomping sound on the tiles of the hall as he made his way to the stairs. He asended the stairs and made his way to the room he shared with Aberforth. The room was painted into two sections. Dumbledore's side of the room was purple with posters of famous wizards and pictures of himself standing next to his best friend Elphius. Aberforth's side of the room was painted a vivid blue and was adorned with posters of goats. Lots and lots of goats. Aberforth himself sat on his bed with his four goats: Nitwit, Blubber, Oddment, and Tweak.

"Goodmorning Aberforth."

"Albus." said Aberforth with a hint of resentment in his voice

"Aberforth, don't you think your time might be put to better use looking over your text book than throwing goat excretion at me." Aberforth said nothing, but shot Dumbledore a very nasty look and left the room. Dumbledore picked Ten Thousand Ten Second Meals up off his dresser and walked downstairs to prepare breakfast for Aberforth an Arianna. Dumbledore desided to try one of the more interesting meals: Ostritch Omlets. As He cooked a tall thin blond girl with rather whispy hair walked into the room.

"Goodmorning Arianna. How are you feeling?" Arianna nodded and smiled. That was the most she had every been able to do to comunicate since the muggle boys had.............................. Dumbledore tried to think about something else.

"Aberforth. Time for Breakfast." Albus waited for five minutes, and then went to look for Aberforth. But Aberforth was not in the house.

Chapter 2: Goat Milk

"Aberforth."
No Answer

"Aberforth."
Still no answer. Dumbledore hurried back into the kitchen. Arianna got up and walked over to him.

"Stay Here!" barked Dumbledore. 'Oh no' he thought. Arianna's face had started to turn red, her hands were clenched in fists at her sides, her eyes were squeezed tightly shut. 'If mother were here,' thought Dumbledore 'she'd know how to calm Arianna down.' Just then Aberforth came running into the room.

"It's alright Arianna." he crooned patting her back and leading her to a seat at the table. "Why don't you go up to your room, I think Nitwit and Blubber are in there, go on now.
Arianna flashed Aberforth a smile that she reserved for him and only him. Aberforth waited till Arianna had left the room before he rounded on Dumbledore.

"You are just so careless Albus, the only thing you care about is yourself and your stupid awards and corespondance with "the most notable magical names of the day." Why can't you just think about someone besides yourself for once! Maybe if you had actually cared about your family then mother wouldn't be d....................." Dumbledore hardly ever got angry but maybe it was the small trace of truth in what Aberforth had said that made him do it. He drew his wand and shouted

"None of this would have happened if you would have just stayed in the house instead of running away like a child. Why can't you grow up!"

"You grow up!" That's when Dumbledore saw Arianna standing in the doorway of the kitchen and before either of them could do anything, there was a flash of purple light and the kitchen was blown into pieces.

Ok readers here is the next post! *** means that the FF is changing from Dumbledore's point of view to Gindlewald's.

Chapter 3: Goat tails

"Arianna." shouted Aberforth as pieces of the roof came raining down upon them. Dumbledore flashed his wand in a small circular motion, and with a blast like a cannon the pieces of the cottage put themseves together like a giant puzzle. Arianna, however, lay on the floor. Blood trickled out of her nose and there was a nasty cut on her forhead. Dumbledore walked over to Arianna, but Aberforth said

"Don't touch her you bat!"

"Aberforth I.........................."

"Merlin's pants Dumbledore (if any of you are unfamiliar with the expression "Merlin's pants" it is in the seventh HP book) there you go again, talking about '"I" the almighty Albus'." He rushed over to Arianna not looking back to see the tear trickling down Dumbledores nose. Just then Arianna groaned. "It's alright Arianna, we're going to take you to St. Mungo's, don't worry dear." His tone was much softer with Arianna than it had been with Dumbledore. Aberforth reached for the Flu powder.

"No." said Dumbledore "Mother told us Arianna couldn't go to St. Mungo's, if anyone found out about.................... about what happened to her, they'd send her to one of those phsyciatric wards. They'd lock her away."

"Yah." said Aberforth sarcastically "It's not like she's already locked up now." But he reached for the ditiny instead of the flu powder, and carried Arianna up to her room. Dumbledore went outside to calm down, but instead of a nice quiet afternoon, the Grindlewald boy was there to greet him.

"Ummmmm............ Hi again. I came down when I saw your kitchen being blasted apart." Said Grindlewald to the Dumbledore boy. His Aunt Bathilda had told him about this boy. She had said that he was very smart. Top of his class in everything. Grindlewald knew that if he could get this Dumbledore boy on his side he just might be able to finish what he had started at Durmstrang. But first, to gain this boys trust............................................. ....
