#1- Sorting Hat

"Weasley, Ginevra!" called Professor McGonagall.

Draco Malfoy watched as the littlest Weasley sat on the old wooden stool. The whole school stared at the red head. Get on with it! Draco thought. His stomach had begun to growl with hunger.

The professor placed the piece-of-crap Sorting Hat on the Weasley's flaming red hair. Her eyes were shut and she seemed to be very nervous. Probably because every single one of her brothers were in Gryffindor.

If she's lucky, she might get into Ravenclaw, at least Draco thought. She had the Weasley red hair, hand-me-down robes, and second-hand books. But she didn't have the Weasleys' slouch. And she seemed far more sophisticated than her older siblings.

No such luck, though. Draco groaned quietly. Although she seemed different than her brothers, the Sorting Hat yelled out, "GRYFFINDOR!" all the same.

this is my first time so bear with me and the ffs that i write. more are coming!

#2- Ford Anglia

"Where's Professor Snape?" Ginny asked.

"Or better yet, where's Harry and Ron?" Hermione replied. "I searched everywhere for them on the train. There are coming this year, aren't they?" she asked nervously.

"Of course!" Ginny said. "I don't know where they are. Now that I think back on it, I can't remember them coming through the wall at platform 9 and three-quarters."

"Oh, look, Professor McGonnagol is sitting down. And Snape's back," Hermione said, pointing up at the teachers' table. Sure enough, when Ginny looked to where Hermione's finger was pointed, she could see the two professors making themselves comfortable in their chairs.

"Where were they?" Ginny asked to no one in particular.

"That's easy. They were just finished expelling Potter and Weasley for flying to school in an old Ford Anglia," came the answer.

Ginny's stomach flipped. Ron and Harry took her father's car?! What if Muggles had seen them?!

"Don't listen to Malfoy, Ginny," Hermione said, glaring at the white-blonde boy who had spoken. "Go back to your own table."

The boy smirked, but did exactly as Hermione said.

#3- Dictionary

Draco flipped through the dictionary, head resting lazily on one hand. His mind wasn't on trying to look up a word, though. Instead, his mind was kind of just wandering by itself. As he passed Salamander, Draco thought about the Weasley girl.

Weasley. How could he call her that? After all, he had concluded that she was indeed not at all like her brothers. Draco had to differentiate, somehow.

"Weasel," Draco muttered to himself. Maybe the dictionary could give him som ideas.

He flipped rapidly to Weasel. To his disappointment, nothing seemed to spark his creativity. Weasley, she-Weasel, Weaslette...

Definately Weaslette. Draco grinned at his new word. Now he could differentiate.

"Weaslette," he drawled in his silkiest voice to test how it sounded. Perfect. He was going to save it for a rainy day.

#4- Hogwarts, A History

Ginny looked up from her second-hand copy of Hogwarts, A History. That obnoxious Malfoy boy was passing by the table she was sitting at in the library. He had a smug look on his face, his nose high in the air.

She rolled her eyesat him. Malfoy seemed to notice. He had already passed the table by a bit, but backed up and sat down in the chair across from her.

"Aha, it's the littlest Weasley," he drawled. When Ginny glared at him, he said, "Sorry for my rudeness, but I've just remembered we haven't properly introduced ourselves to each other, see? So I can't call you anything else... out of a lack of knowledge."

Snickering, Malfoy pulled several books from his bag and slammed them down on the table. Most of the people in the library looked up and glared at the source of the noise. The librarian, Madam Pince, shook her head disapprovingly.

So this was Draco Malfoy, the prat that Ron had told her about.

#5- Snappish

"Nice fall, Malfoy," the Wesley girl said, grinning as she passed by Draco in the hallway.

He grabbed her wrist and pulled her up to him. How dare this filthy blood traitor taunt him about his failure at beating Potter to the Snitch in the Quidditch match? And to think he had been curious about her and how she was different from her brothers at the Sortin. He even went an extra mile and made up his own nickname for her!

"Ooh, what a big, bad second year!" the red head cried sarcastically. "Please don't hurt me!"

"At least I'm not the one sitting in the hospital wing regrowing my bones because of that Lockheart idiot!" Draco snapped. "I expect you're going over to see your boyfriend friend right now, eh?"

He let the little Weasley break free from his grasp. With a furious look, she turned and walked away. Losing at Quidditch made Draco feel so snappish!

#6- Parseltongue

Ginny couldn't get over her shock. Harry Potter had just spoken Parseltongue in Dueling Club! In front of everyone! And to top it all off, she couldn't remember anything about what happened the night before that horrible writing on the wall appeared, except that she had been writing to Tom through that wonderful diary.

Ginny saw Draco Malfoy coming her way. She groaned and hoped that he would simply walk past her. But, he had to stop right in front of her and snicker.

"Bet you're upset about your boyfriend," he said in a malicious voice.

"Malfoy! I can't stand you!" Ginny yelled. Malfoy simply laughed.

"And? Is that all?" he said, amused.

Ginny pulled out Tom's diary and chucked it at Malfoy. As he ducked to avoid it, she ran past him, being sure to retrieve the diary as she hurried by.

Draco: 2nd year

#7- History of Magic

Draco was bored out of his mine. Professor Binns was droning endlessly about a topic in magical history that the whole class neither wanted to hear nor cared about. This was such a wretched class in Draco's opinion (or for that matter, in everyone's opinion).

Out of his boredom, Draco pulled a piece of spare parchment, quill, and ink from his bag. He began to doodle. He looked up every once in a while to make it look as if he was taking notes on the ghost professor's torture lecture. Eyes, a nose, a mouth, hair...

And then, he snapped upright, straight-backed in his chair. Draco became shockingly aware of how similar his drawing was to Ginny Weasley! Shaking his head, Draco considered turning the drawing into a paper airplane to throw through Professor Binns. That might have livened up the class. But, he decided to crumple it up instead and throw it at the back of Potter's head.

#8- Ignore

Ginny "hmphed" at Malfoy's grinning face. Then, she turned on her heel and started to walk away. The annoying, blonde Slytherin tagged along. He hopped backwards, keeping pace beside her.

"What's up, Weasley?" Malfoy taunted.

He was trying to bother Ginny again. He was always picking on her, and Ron, and any Weasley for that matter! She even heard that he was giving Percy a hard time for calling him out about being in the corridors late at night. Then again, Percy was probably only in the corridors himself because of that Penny Clearwater.

However, Ginny was determined not to give Malfoy any satisfaction, and she continued to ignore him. She finally ditched him when she reached her next class; History of Magic. Malfoy hopped his way right into Professor Binns, who was waiting by the classroom door as usual.

Malfoy froze and his face turned paler than usual. A look of horror was on his face as he fled. Ginny was amused.

"What's wrong, Malfoy? Or is History of Magic just your least favorite class?" Ginny yelled after him.

#9- Muggle Studies

"Why do you want to take Muggle Studies next year, Hermione?" the Wesley girl asked, obviously confused.

"Because I might learn something new about the wizrad's perspective on Muggles," Granger replied as if it were obvious. "And if Professor Burbage should happen to need assistance in her class, I'd be the perfect one to ask for help."

Weasley still looked skeptical. Draco couldn't help but step out from the shadows where he had been listening in.

"What's this?" he said. "Who's taking Muggle Studies? You, Weasley? Now why would you do that? To please your blood-traitor father?"

Weasley furiously opened her mouth to speak, but Granger pulled her away and down the hall, away from Draco. Draco snickered loud enough for them to hear, for extra measure.

Draco: 2nd year

#8- Dungeon

The dungeons were cold and damp and dark. And scary. Ginny hated going down there, even though she had to for Potions class. And plus, there were always Slytherins about. The school year was already more than halfway through, yet Ginny found herself lost on her way back to Potions class one day. She wandered around until-

"Lost, Weasley?" came the cold voice of Draco Malfoy. Ginny nodded, but otherwise kept looking around for the exit. "Well, I know the way back."

"I don't need your help, Malfoy," Ginny said haughtily. She wasn't being entirely truthful. Well, okay, okay, she was completely lying!

"Okay," shurgged Malfoy. He walked off.

Why didn't I just take his offer?, Ginny thought. After all, he didn't sound like he was making fun of me or anything, right? Ginny resolved to follow Malfoy, at a resonable distance. Darting from shadow to shadow, Malfoy didn't seem to notice that she was following him.

Ginny was relieved when she finally saw the familiar staircase that led out of the dungeons. She waited until Malfoy was at the top of the stairs. To her surprise, he whirled around and faced Ginny at the bottom.

"You're welcome," he said, smirking. Ginny glared at him. How did he know she was following him? Slightly embarressed, she muttered her thanks and hurried to the Gryffindor common room.

#9- Transfiguration

"Immobulus," Professor McGonagall saud loudly and clearly.

"Immobulus," the class repeated.

Good, now attempt to use this frezzing spell in order to stop your mice from moving!" McGonagall instructed.

Draco looked down at the mouse in his hands. It was a reddish-brown color and smaller than the others. Draco wondered if he would be able to aim at such a puny target. Shaking away this thoughts, he concentrated on it and then released it.

The terrified mouse scurried around the table. Amused, Draco raised his wand.

"Immobulus!" he said loudly.

Instantly the mouse froze in mid-stride. McGonagall nodded her approval of his success.

"Very good, Mr. Malfoy," she said. "Five points to Slytherin for picking up the spell so quickly."

Granger looked horrified at the thought of Draco beating her. Draco sneered at her stunned face and then at the small mouse. He had to try this one on that Weasley girl.

#12- Charms

Ginny was barely paying attention to Professor Flitwick, who was standing on a high pile of books in front of the class as he demonstrating a new charm. She was outraged bejust just the night before, Malfoy had used a freezing spell on her. Luna Lovegood, a strange girl from Ravenclaw, prodded Ginny with a long stick, which she had taken to carrying for a week now. ("It's a highly effective way to keep away those Nargles," she had said seriously).

"What's got your wand in a knot?" Luna now asked serenely.

"Nothing," Ginny replied, snapping out of her train of thought.

Finally, Professor Flitwick allowed the class to attempt the charm he had just taught them. He handed out a small stone to everyone in the classroom using a levitating charm. Ginny raised her wand and pointed it at the large, white stone in front of her. She imagined it being Malfoy's white-blonde head and said, "Evaneso!" The stone vanished.

"Ooh, good job, Miss Weasley! Well done!" squeaked the professor. "Five points to Gryffindor!"

Ginny gave herself a satisfied smile.

Draco: 2nd year

#13- Yodel

Draco was supposed to be studying for his exams and he knew it. However, he allowed himself to wander outside onto the dark grounds. Late as it was, Draco could hear something. Definately a human. But it wasn't English, was it? Draco couldn't understand.

He drew closer to the sound. Around the corner of the castle...

"Malfoy?" Ginny Weasley said, surprised.

"What's going on?" Draco asked. She put her finger to her lips.

"Shush, it's Luna. She been coming out here every night."

"Looney?" sneered Draco. It sounded like yodeling.

"Yes," Weasley replied. "It keeps away the 'Nargles'."

"What are Nargles?" Draco asked. This Lovegood girl was a nut.

"No idea," Weasley said, turning around to resume watching her friend.

#14- Boggart

"Riddikulus!" Ginny shouted in a loud but less confident voice.

The boggart was not effected at all by her spell. It advanced closer and closer to Ginny. Her eyes widened in fear and she took a step back.

"Try again, Ginny! Once more!" Professor Lupin instructed firmly.

Ginny whimpered and yelled out, "Riddikulus!"

The boggart retreated quickly back to the cover and safety of the old cupboard Lupin had kept it in. Just before the door was closed, the boggart turned into the steel grey eyed, platinum blonde haired head of Draco Malfoy. He cackled as Professor Lupin slammed the cupboard door.

Draco: 2nd year
Ginny: 1st year
POV: Draco

#15- Quidditch

Draco was soaring through the air on his Nimbus 2001, searching for the Snitch. His hand moved to his cheek where Granger had slapped him. It still stung a bit.

Suddenly, there was a flash of gold. Soon, Draco found himself miles ahead of Potter in the desperate chase for the Snitch. Amidst the crowd, something else caught his attention; flaming red hair. His outstretched had was knocked away when he was just inches away from his goal, and Potter snatched the Snitch!

Draco flew back down to the ground, cursing himself for getting distracted so easily.

Draco: 2nd year
Ginny: 1st year
POV: Ginny

#16- Astronomy

Ginny honestly didn't know how she ended up in the Astronomy tower that night. With her chart and quill in hand, she peered through her telescope. A grunt from behind her made her look up.

Malfoy was struggling with his own telescope not too far away. Looking around, and seeing no one else, Ginny sighed and walked up to the white-blonde Slytherin.

"Need some help?" she asked. Malfoy looked at her.

"I can't find Venus," he said. Ginny took that as a yes. At least he wasn't being as proud as she was in the dungeons. Taking his hand, she guided him in turning the knobs and adjusting the lens.

"There," she said, stepping back. Malfoy looked through the telescope and nodded his thanks. Ginny wondered why exactly she had helped him. No idea.

#17- Portraits

Draco was hurrying along down the dark hallway. If Snape ever caught him at this time of night, he probably wouldn't live to see the day that follwed. Not as a Hogwarts student at least. So, he had resolved not to use Lumos and was feeling his way along the portraits on the wall when he crashed into someone and fell to the floor.

"Weasley!" Draco snarled, but the red headed Gryffindor silenced him by slidinger a firm hand over his mouth.

"Shut up unless you want to get us both caught," she hissed.

"Fine," he said as she let him go. "What are you doing out so late? Wouldn't want your prefect brother finding you, now."

"I might ask you the same thing," Weasley replied. "Anyway I was getting back to the common room, whereas it might interest you to now that you are going in the direction opposite of the Slytherin common room."

"I'm not going to the common room," Draco said, trying to sound mysterious.

"Whatever," Weasley said. And then, she left Draco in the dark.
