Default POLL: Your favourite medium

What do you like to use when you create fanart? Vote & post why you like it below If you'd like, you can also explain how to use it, what you use it with (eg - the kind of paper you use with coloured pencils), and some links to tutorials/your work done in that material.

I voted for pen&ink. By far it's the only medium I use along with pencils. I'm not used to using the fancy stuff up there, lol. though I'd love to use them.

i voted for graphite pencils, charcoal, digital art (photoshop), 3D stuff (ceramics and such), and other (normal boring pencil). i don't have anything on SS because i don't draw HP stuff, it's all elves and things... however i love drawing them, but all the faces, men and women, are so manly it's almost hilarious. graphite pencils are great, charcoal pencils work awesome for shading, digital art is fun becuase it's on the computer, 3D stuff i love ceramics, and of course the regular pencils cover all my school papers in doodles and drawings.

I have done everything listed above minus print making, and by far my favorite is pencils. Simply because even with a pen/nib and Indian ink etc, you still have to start with a pencil. Acrylic is fun, but far too time involved to do something like fanart. Watercolor, on the other hand, is a nice way to color fanart. It tends to be quick and if you know what you're doing, it looks really great. I just don't have the time to get everything out and do it most days. So I color digitally.

I voted a long, long time ago. It's been ages since I did, but I never posted here. I voted for Graphite Pencils, Pen & Ink and Digital Art. Because I use Pen and Ink, of course; and graphtie pencils are so the best for fan art. And, of course, Digital Art is necessary for the effects, at least for me. I use Watercolour and Oil Paint too, a lot of times. They're fancy. *loveson'em* =) I used Coloured Pencils a lot, a long time ago. Not anymore, though. I grew out of them, I guess, LOL.

My absolute favorite medium of the many I've used is graphite. I find it the most versatile, and I'm a fan of mediums that I can erase if I make a mistake (I seem to do a lot of that when I draw ).

I am also a fan of traditional art, and graphite is used a lot in traditional art. I find it is easiest (for me, at least) to capture realism with graphite, especially when it comes to portraits.

I put pencils. I uses way too many circles in the face and body when I draw I can just do ink. It never works out for me, and I am never that great with coloring. I just can't do it very well-- or so I think. Photography is great also. I love using film and using darkrooms. It is fun once you figure it all out.

graphite pencils rule! I'm not very good at using pen and ink, and you can erase and use shading with them.
