Question Would Dumbledore's socks be in the Chamber of Secrets?

*Master Showman Ottery St. walks in* Okay people so the title is just to grab your attention, the real question is: What else is in the Chamber of Secrets? Opinions? We have to remember that the Chamber is lost and closed that's why Harry and the others have to fly out of there. Also Harry and Ginny probably did not go exploring so it's believeable that there might be something else hidden in the Chamber any ideas?

Another vile creature, maybe some dark spells, it couldn't just have been Tom's hide out and even if it was what do you think Tom Riddle would have left lying around?

hmmm...i guess there could be *imagines tom riddle hanging out in the chamber chatting with the basilisk* but there may be other stuff could be down there-it may even come up in the next books. i don't think there are other monsters sown there, but Riddle's stuff may be hanging around

Well i think the chamber of secrets is just a secret room that is in the middle of the pipe passageways to be honest. So the room with the snake heads and the face of Salazar Slytehrin is the chamber of secrets. After all chamber means one room not some room's'. So again i think Salazar just made it for his heir to kill of the mudbloods.

Brilliant observation...so, chamber of secrets and the room next door is chamber of monsters and the next one chamber with Dumbledore's socks cuz I took them as a joke...LOL That Tom Riddle, he kills me...no really *ducks away from Tom's hexes* He's trying to kill me!!!!!!!!!

There could be multiple rooms, that's the Chamber of Secrets that doesn't imply there are no other rooms but you are right it is one room.

Well it is called the Chamber of Secrets. How many secrets did we learn in there? If it was only one, perhaps we may return.

I hope so...I think the Death Eaters could ultimately use it as a way to get into Hogwarts like in the seventh book or possibly there are other things there I keep thinking the last battle will be in Hogwarts since it's ultimately Harry that You-know-who is after. It's also where Harry believe's he's safest.

You think it'll be Hogwarts? That's interesting. I never thought of that. The Chamber of Secrets would be awesome.

I've always thought of the Final Battle being in the Department of Mysteries.

Wow well the tilte really grabbed my attention! LOL.

Well I never thought there would be anything else in the Chamber of Secrets but as it was said before it is the Chamber of Secrets. So there could be more secrets! Like maybe we will find out in HBP because the HBP and COS books have something in common. Right?

I figured the final battle would be a combination of a daring broomstick chase down the Thames, plus a heart-stopping duel on Big Ben, and of course ending with tons of unnecessary but never-the-less cool, explosions!

BTW, that's what will happen in the 7th Movie when the director decides to "slightly alter" the ending.

I sure hope you're joking. Becuase if so, when I become a director, I'm remaking Harry Potter. That would totally anger me!

Yeah, I don't know that it will be when the students are all there, or the school is in session, but you have to keep in mind...Voldemort is going to come after Harry. It's always been that way and that's how I think it will be in the end. I don't see Harry getting all fed up and putting an end to it once and for all...seems to Hollywood *nudges Dean* Ahem.

I don't see why? I've heard that before too but I don't see why Harry or even Voldemort would have a reason to go back there...not to mention it is in the middle of the city and it is full of wizards...and you could get lost will all those bloody doors...

I sure hope so. I do think the Chamber will come back again in the books, of course that applies to Fluffy, Sirius's bike, Norbert...and any number of other assorted things JKR has thrown out in the stories...

*Ottery's all excited* Book 7 Title: HP and the Hollywood Movie Adaptation...

Yes but what's in the chamber? I still think it holds lots more secrets...maybe there's something to that boat on the back cover of the book?

Yeah! I also thought in that..It's Chamber of SecretS..Why he didn't call it Chamber of Secret?? As the basalisk...the voice in my mind tells me that there is some thing else inside this room.. But Really I don't know if Rowling had the same voice in my head or it's different???

I would hope there is something else in the chamber. Maybe she will revisit all the books in 7. I doubt she will bring the chamber as the place of the war. I think the war will be in London or possibly Hogwarts. I hope not hogwarts though. I believe that would be disrespectful. All the other fights have been at Hogwarts but OOTP. Maybe it will be at the Orders quarters.

Talking Ottery is not evil...he's an otter.

Silly Kaz-Bah, how quickly you forget canon, almost as quickly as you forget your grammar...

Wrong Kaz, Snape is evil
Right Kaz, Ottery is always right...here endeth the lesson.

Monsters, yes, but what kind of monsters? Oh, and Dumbledore didn't go back to have a poke around because the entrance to the Chamber is sealed, and the only way out was flying on the back of Fawkes...

Question I know Godzilla isn't in the Chamber...or is he? LOL Does the chamber lead to China

Yes Kaz, I started this topic before I met you just to stump you. That's how you know I'm an all powerful wizard too.

Spelling isn't grammar, that's why you say "Spelling and Grammar" LOL *fires cannons*

And Dumbledore might be an all powerful wizard and all that, but even throughout CoS he never knew where the Chamber was, much less what was in there...and that's the biggest plot hole ever. LOL. Just how many magical creatures are there that petrify? Didn't the adults even care the students were going all statue on them? Or was Snape secretly behind all of it becuase he's evil? LOL

Now back to the monsters...

LOL so true! I didn't even realize how big of a hole that was... you'd think DD would know it was a baskilisk. But he may've thought it was a wizard/witch, not a creature.

*Ottery & Snoggin' are looking down a giant crater sized whole in the HP Universe* Yup...it was the Meteor of Secrets... you see, it really isn't a plot hole, because what you said, is right on the nose Snoggy. Everyone was expecting it was someone doing it, i.e. a person...so of course they didn't think that it was a creature.

*remembers Aragog* Okay...*fires cannons at that theory* See? The hole's still there...uhm...

Anyways, we know Aragog isn't in the chamber...makes you wonder though, since those spiders can get in anywhere...if they're there now? Probably not as it was the lair of the beast they so feared...

But what if Slytherin left all the *smacks* Sorry that would be a spoiler, but what if they were there...

Or some secret weapon or spellbooks with dark magic, or potions...uuuuuh *curious*

I never thought of the last battle being there! Then again I never stopped to think about where the last battle will be... I agree with Hogwarts. But I is thinking that won't be the only place...

As for what else might be down there... HUGE rats maybe... My cat that disappeared 10 years ago... More of Toms diaries, but the really secret ones *snicker*... I bet that's where most of my sanity went! Yeah... that explains it... How's about flesh-eating snails? Hmm... I'll think more on this...

*teehee!*

Slytherin Rats! Foiled again? Or Where's the poem???

Your super secret diaries and your sanity not withstanding Madame Tonks...

Just what is in those diaries? *Now Ottery's all curious*

But you'd have to wonder...just for speculations sake, was Salazar given to inventing things? Likely not, but we've seen other Slytherins were handy at inventing their own spells or potions, so who's to say that Salazar didn't leave a time machine...okay no, but something like I don't know...secret treasure, maybe that's how Riddle found out about the *smacks* sorry, you all have to go read book 6.

Of course giant rats would've become the basiliks dinner you have to remember... poor rats, they never stood a chance.

yes i argee with you there probaly many things down there. maybe even a dark wizard's department of mysterys or something like that. there are probaly more cambers where other things are. but the only reason that it is damp down there is because it probaly feel into despair after tom riddle left school and slytherin left the school too. i could even imagine tom taking all his teenager deatheaters down there for meetings or just going there to skip class and hang out. maybe that was even a second common room for riddle and his death eaters.
