It was a crisp September morning and the birthday girl was still snuggled in her bed. She suddenly awoke at the startling noise that she heard in her room. While rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she glanced around to see what had made the noise. A slight scratching was coming from her window and stepping quickly, Alicia motioned to open it. After not even a second, of getting the window open, in flew three owls. "Oh, goodness" she said as she quickly moved out of the owls path. The largest of the owls stepped forwards and held out it's leg while the other birds fiddled with the large package behind them. Alicia reached down and took the letter attached to the leg of the snowy white owl. The snowy owl hooted softly and rose into the air as Alicia looked at the letter.

Before she had a chance to look at the letter, Alicia heard Aunt Molly call to her from the kitchen.
"Alicia dear! Are you up?" she called up the stairs while the snowy owl held out it's leg for payment. "Yes, Aunt Molly" Alicia called out as she gave the owl a large treat. The snowy owl hooted and took off, the other two following behind. Alicia read her letter and saw that there was going to be a party for her in just a few hours.

"Why am I the last one to know?" she said aloud, ripping open her cuboard doors. She quickly got ready and ran downstairs to see what was going on.
When she went down to the kitchen she didn't see anyone. She decided to look around a bit to see if she could find out any clues as to what was going on. She looked all around the kitchen & outside to see if she could find anyone, but could see no one. Deciding it was time to give up on looking about, she took a seat at the kitchen table. She waited for what seemed like hours before Ginny finally came downstairs.

"Hi, Ginny. Do you have any idea what's going on or where everyone is?" Ginny shrugged, "Maybe they're outside," she said. "No, they're not," said Alicia. "I already checked."

Ginny was trying her best to hold back an extied giggle. "Well, I guess we will just have to wait and see."
Alicia looked at Ginny wondering what she meant.
