Just before the Minister's office sits another office with glass walls. Through the glass sits a large desk made of solid Brazilian rosewood, behind which is positioned a very impressive chair of the same wood type with navy-colored cushioning. Upon the desk sits a multitude of items, some of which include: a multi-shelved document organizer filled with tasks to yet be completed, tasks that have already been completed, and tasks that haven't even been thought of yet; a tall, thin wooden cyllinder filled with oranately engraved quills, each with a different colored and patterned feather; three different ink wells, each filled with a separate color ink; an organizer journal containing a complete ongoing list of things to be done within the Ministry as well as a list of resources and contacts; and a whole assortment of other office supplies that no one person could even use in a year's time.

To the far left of the office is a small grouping of chairs and a short coffee table upon which there are several Ministry pamphlets and a couple magazines - the waiting area.

The desk with all its items and this chair are reserved for the Senior Undersecretary, Reagan F. Taylor. No one outside this department, and sometimes no one at all, may get in to see the Minister without stopping here first. So if you wish to visit with the Minister, be sure to pause at the golden name placard reading "Reagan F. Taylor, Senior Undersecretary to the Minister of Magic" and you just may be granted access... maybe.

Reagan Taylor had been sitting in her office working on the new liaison handbook for over an hour when she began seeing the liaisons collect at their desks. Reagan perpetually came in to the office early, sometimes hours before her co-workers and the Minister himself, simply to ensure that the office ran smoothly. She figured now would be a good time to greet the liaisons and say good morning, so she backed her chair out from behind her desk, walked over to the glass door of her office and exited through them into the liaisons area...

When Reagan returned to her office a mere 5 minutes later, it was not under the best of circumstances. She completely bypassed her own desk and scurried right up to the Minister's door where he stood expecting her presence...

Relieved that she didn't get a tongue lashing from the Minister, Reagan was much calmer now than she had beenonly moments before. She poked her head out of her office door, making a request to the Minister's Junior Assistant who he so eloquently referred to as 'The Girl' and then walking back to her desk and taking her seat, where she folded her hands in her lap and waited for the new Ministry employee to explain why she'd visited the Minister's office today.

Chiara approached the undersecretary's desk. "Look, I'm really sorry, I just... I wanted to introduce myself. I guess that isn't his style? To meet the new staff?" She smiled at the woman and shrugged. "I guess I do not need to meet him if he is too busy."

She leaned over the desk and said quietly, "Don't worry about it. The Minister just has a very particular way of doing things because his schedule is so busy and it helps him keep everything in order. Plus, he hasn't had his tea yet today so he's a little... distracted. He probably won't even remember the interruption once he downs a cup." Straightening back up and returning to her regular volume Reagan explained politely, "My name is Reagan Taylor and as you can see by the name on my desk placard I'm the Senior Undersecretary to the Minister. From now on, if you wish to visit with the Minister, just make a short stop at my desk and if he's not in a meeting, I will announce your arrival to him and he'll likely get to you in moments."

Reagan glanced at the clock on her desk and mumbled to herself, "Where is Brown with the Minister's tea? If I have to go in there without it and he comments on it, she's going to be scrubbing the toilets with the Maintenance staff... without magic!" Reagan sighed and then looked back up to the woman standing before her. She continued as if there had been no interruption in their conversation, "Now, you mentioned that you are new staff. What is your name and in what department are you working?"

Bella knocked once on Reagan's office door, a tray in her hands with a cup of searing hot tea with one wedge of lemon on the edge of the cup and one resting on the saucer. The stupid cafeteria had taken longer than it usually did. It seemed like they wanted her to get fired or something. Apparently they couldn't find any lemons. And then of course Bella almost lost her temper ... and possibly her job too.

Reagan looked away from the woman standing before her to see Bella at the door. Knowing she could see her through the glass walls of her officer, Reagan gestured for Bella to come in. She explained, "Thanks Bella. You can rest it on the coffee table over there," as she pointed to the glossy wood table between the armchairs. "Can you make sure the new liaison meets everyone in the office and gets situated at her desk? If she has any questions, try to field them and if you don't know the answer just send her to me. K? Thanks."

Bella walked in once Reagan guestered her to come in and set the tray on the wooden coffee tables, her shoes clacking everytime she stepped on the floor. "Sure." She said, smiling lightly at her boss before walking back out the door.

She had some people to introduce.

Brian approached Reagan's desk, all he wanted to meet and discuss with the Minister about some stuffs related to his Games and Sports department. He waited for Reagan's availability, patiently.

Cloe black knocked on the door slowly. Her blond hair with multicolor streacks hung down her back like beautiful silk. She wished to have tea with the Minister and discuss some....important matters.

Reagan returned to her office through the Minister's door and quickly explained to Ms. Quorra, "The Minister will see you now." Reagan was a bit nervous for the woman, because while the Minister seemed to be in a decent enough mood, he wasn't pleased with his tea. Thus, his mood was subject to fluctuations, but it really wasn't his fault. After all, the man is under a lot of stress.

Reagan approached her desk with a stack of paperwork in hand. She gently placed them on the corner of her desk, so that she could sort through them and mark them with the appropriate color for each liaison. Still standing behind her desk, she addressed Brian who was standing before her. "Hello, Brian. Just so you know, there is a very very important set of tasks for all the liaisons to get completed ASAP that I will be placing in the box for pick-up very soon. So be on the lookout for it. But that is obviously not what brought you here, since you couldn't have possibly known, unless of course you're a Seer and never mentioned it, but that's not quite likely, now is it? So what can I help you with?" Yes, that was all in one breath and no, she didn't need to breathe. Senior Undersecretaries don't breathe. It's a requirement for the position.

But she had so much work to do, all her liaisons know that this is simply how she operates - always multi-tasking. Her hands were moving so quickly as she wrote memo after memo with lightning speed and placed each in the drawer for tasks to be picked up by the liaisons.

"Oh!" Chiara's palms started sweating... Now? Now she's nervous... great. "Thank you so much, Ms. Taylor."

She stood from the seat she'd been occupying and brushed off her pencil line skirt. It wasn't dusty or dirty, but she didn't want wrinkles when she met the Minister. She then proceeded back to his office.

Alison walked into the office, having spoken with Mr. Wordsmith. "Hello, Miss Taylor. I'd like to speak with the minister about his security arrangements." She told her, a small smile on her face. "Also... While I was speaking with Mr. Wordsmith, the head of the Department, he was saying something about court... And prosecution... Do you know what he might mean?" She asked carefully. She really hadn't gotten what he meant.

Reagan raised her eyebrows at the mention of drinking tea with the Minister and peered around to see if the woman was storing a tea pot and cups on her body somewhere because there were certainly no spare tea pots in the Minister's office and he definitely wasn't patient enough to wait for another cup to delivered. And why was this woman so hesitant to tell what important matters she needs to discuss with the Minister? Reagan asked politely, "And what 'important matters' would those be? As for court and prosecution, the man does head up the entire Department of Law Enforcement and he is a former lawyer. He probably was babbling on about how he still plans to practice law, prosecuting criminals, despite his post as Department Head. Don't worry, we've heard him say it plenty of times. He's made himself abundantly clear." Reagan rolled her eyes a bit and smiled jokingly at Alison.

Reagan contemplated Alison's explanation and fighting back her frustration with Mr. Wordsmith, replied calmly, "Well, certainly the Auror department can spare one or a few Dark-wizard catchers for the Minister's wedding! It's not the petty criminals that we're as worried about as much as the Dark Wizards who would likely be hiding amongst the guests. Does he think we're worried about the china disappearing from the tables? We need to make sure the Minister and the guests are safe! We need qualified capable wizards who can detect these Dark Wizards despite their facades. That requires Aurors! Butter the man up if you have to and make a strong argument for the need. Hint that if a big disaster occurs at the Minister's wedding involving Dark wizards and the public finds out Aurors weren't present to prevent it, his job might not be so secure, if you know what I mean. If he still doesn't cooperate, you send him up to meet with me." Reagan paused, then narrowed her eyes, adding "And if that man thinks he'll try another case in the magical courts without cooperating on this matter, he's got another thing coming."

Alison listened to Miss Taylor's speech and realized that this was NOT going to be easy unless he changed mind quickly, which was probably not happening, from what she was hearing.

"Yes, ma'am. By the way, do you think he likes muffins? I make a killer batch." She asked. Not one person in the wizarding world disliked her muffins.

Brian waited for her to finish, " Give some gap...i guess you need something to drink now.." he smiled and said, "I saw my assignment, and there was no indication of the date of the wedding. So I need the exact day in order to give them a clear view" he was waiting again as he ran his hand through his hair.

Reagan stifled a giggle when Alison mentioned muffins and replied simply, "Couldn't hurt, could it? Give it a shot. Do whatever you have to. Just make it happen!" Reagan was looking at Alison when she thought she saw something flash by her eye. But as soon as she saw it, it was gone, so Reagan dismissed it.

Smiling until she heard the Minister's voice calling her in a stern manner. Uh oh! Reagan jumped out of her seat and dashed to the Minister's office door...

Brian smiled, "Uh..ho!! I'm sorry Reagan" he apologized, "I'm kind a confused with the morning stuffs, I'll go and check the program" he said but returned her joke, "but. better keep check your blood pressure often, I dont like to see you faint..at some point" he winked playfully before returned to his seat.

"It's about Hogwarts I fear", Cloe explained. Her long hair was falling in her face, "My nephew Derek has sent me some news of goings-ons in the school that frighten me"

Reagan returned to her desk after being beckoned into the Minister's office to handle another employee abandoning protocol. When Cloe explained the reason for her visit to the Minister's office, Reagan nodded and replied, "Is that so? Hm. Have you met with anyone in the Department of Magical Education? They are really the people you should bring your issues to. After all, it is their job to handle such matters. I would suggest heading over to meet with their Department head and relay your concerns to them. But thank you for dilligence and concern. I'm sure the Minister would appreciate knowing that his employees are as concerned as he is with the education of our youth." Reagan smiled politely and added, "They're just down the hall" as she gestured to the hall.

No sooner had she finished speaking did a folded piece of parchment come whizzing through the door and land on her desk. It was not addressed to anyone, so Reagan unfolded the parchment and glanced at the name atop the letter. She immediately realized the letter was meant for the Minister and arose from her chair to bring it to him. Before she had even reached the door, she heard him calling her name yet again. She sighed and then stepped into his office...
