Tommy walked quickly into the room "Sorry i'm late, i only just got the owl" he said as he sat down

"Welcome to the team, Thomas," said Mona, extending her hand. "Or would you prefer Tommy?" She shrugged, and continued. "I'm Mona, your Division Head, and these are our colleagues Mikayla, Bryson, and Juliet. We were just reviewing our most recent mission from Madeline, our Department Head." She handed him the memo.

"We were thinking of horse thieves," said Mona. "What do you think?"

An memo flies into the office and lands on Mona's desk:

"Hello, and i prefer Tommy, please" Tommy shook her hand "This looks... interesting" He said as he took the memo from her "Horse thieves sounds like a great cover up" Tommy smiled, but then his face fell "But won't she get the police on the 'horse thieves' case?" Tommy reasoned "And then all the muggles will be on the lookout for horse thieves" Tommy looked at Mona waiting for a reply

"You make an excellent point, Tommy," Mona said, looking at the new memo. "Miss Perkinson would certainly seek the help of the Muggle lawkeepers. It would appear that the Magical Creatures Department is working on retrieving the horses. So, we either need to scrap the horse thieves idea, or find a way to fit in the returning of the horses with that story. What do you think, everyone?" she asked the room at large.

Mikayla looked up as the door opened, to see another team member walk in. She smiled at him as he sat down

"Thats a great point Tommy." Mikayla said.
She turned to Mona and asked
"Is there any way we could find out if we have some of our people working for the Muggle Lawkeepers? If we have some of our people working alongside the Muggles, we could get them to intercept the communication between Miss Perkinson and the Lawkeepers and pretend to be dealing with the situation. Then once we have the animals back we could get our people to take them back home and have the whol situation dealt with, without us being found out."

"Hmm...alongside the Muggles...in the same manner that we sometimes have wizards working with the Muggle Prime Minister... unbeknownst to them, of course," Mona said, rubbing her chin with her knuckle. "Why don't you ask Madeline, Mikayla? She might know the answer, or know whom we would ask."

"I'll get right on it." Mikayla said.
She reached into her drawer and pulled out some paper and began to write a memo for Madeline.

We had come up with an excuse to give to Miss Perkinson, but have stumbled upon a possible problem.
We were concerned the the above mentioned person might try to contact the Muggle Lawkeeprs regarding the theft, which would then blow our cover.

Once finished, Mikayla sent the memo directly to Madeline's office

Juliet glanced at the newcomer and smiled, friendly. "Nice to meet you, Tommy" she said, and then nodded at his comment on their cover up. "Good point. Still I don't think we should give up on that excuse just yet, since it would be a pain finding another way of explaining what she saw. Even for a Muggle, seeing centaurs and having her horses stolen in the same night it's too much of a coincidence" She said, gazing at Mona.

Turning now to Mikayla, Juliet winked. "I suppose we can do that. And that solves the problem. I was wondering how we would explain that we found the horses if supposedly they were stolen. This way it'll work just fine. We can go there and put up the theft excuse. Then we tell her the Lawkeepers are already on the case. A few days later, bam - they show up and retrieve her horses. Yes, not bad at all. "

"That's great, Juliet," said Mona. "And, if you think about it, we mightn't even need someone to be in contact with the Muggle lawkeepers; she might buy it if we just told her that they were already working on getting the horses back, as long as they're returned. What do we think?"

Tommy nodded "sounds good"

"That sounds good to me," Mikayla said, smiling. "I've already sent a memo off to Madeline though, but I think she may be busy and not have responded to it yet.
I could send another one to her saying we have resolved the matter, but just for future reference, and when she has the time, it would still be nice to see if we do actually have our people working with the Muggle Lawkeepers.
That way, when we really need to have one of our own deal with another situation, we know who to call." She suggested, looking at Mona waiting for the go ahead to send an ammended memo.

Scanning a list of the departments within in the Ministry, Mona replied, "I don't think that would be necessary, as it appears that other than the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts office, we liase with Muggles the most often, and we won't be needing their assistance in this case."

"In this instance, as we are sticking with the horse thieves excuse, and wish to keep Miss Perkinson from contacting the Muggle lawkeepers, it behooves us to visit her representing the Muggle lawkeepers. If she has indeed already contacted the police, we can simply act as those who are responding to her summons, and have the Obliviators take care the of the police. In the meantime, one of us can contact Miss Silverstone, head of the Magical Creatures Department, to be sure the horses will be retrieved. Have we reached a consensus then, mates?"

Winking at Mikayla, she said, "I'll speak with Madeline regarding the memo; she should still find out if there is a department within the Ministry, but we need to act quickly in the meantime."

Mikayla smiled, "Sounds like a plan."

Feeling a little hungry, she remembered she had skipped breakfast that morning to make sure she arrived in work with plenty of time.
Once the mission was complete she decided she would go the the cafeteria and grab something to eat and if time allowed, maybe look for her friend and catch up.

Juliet grinned lightly. That work hadn't been as troublesome as she had thought it to be. "It looks great, I think she will buy it" She said. "Meanwhile I'll send a memo to Miss Silverstone".
Grabbing a piece of parchment, she wrote a brief note:

After reaching a consensus regarding this issue, the Committee concluded that the excuse will require the horses to be retrieved to the owner. This way, we would like to be sure the Magical Creatures Department is already taking care of it, otherwise we'll have to adjust the explenation so that it will still do without it.

With a small waving of her wand, the girl sent the memo and stretched her arms while waiting for the answer.

“Jolly good,” Mona said merrily. “I’ll prepare our excuse then.”

Mona sat at her desk, withdrew a quill and some parchment, and began scribbling away.

“Okay, mates,” Mona said, sending the memo soaring out of the door with her wand. “We need to determine who will be visiting Miss Perkinson. I think it be rather overwhelming for her if all five of us showed up on her doorstep.”

“As Bryson has experience in the field, and Juliet, Mikayla, and Tommy do not, I think it’s best that two of you accompany me,” Mona said, peering at Tommy, Mikayla, and Juliet. “There’ll be plenty of other opportunities to go out into the field.”

Picking up her quill again, Mona quickly wrote down the names of the three new employees. Twiddling her wand in mid-air, she conjured a black pointed witch’s hat and dropped the three names inside. The hat still in mid-air, she put an hand into the hat and drew out two slips of parchment.

“Okay, Mikayla and Juliet shall be accompanying me on this mission,” Mona announced. She grabbed the hat and placed it upon her head.

“Hmm, that must be the first time I’ve ever conjured crushed velvet,” she mused aloud. “It’s rather nice.”

Excited and nervous at the prospect, Mikayla forgot how hungry she was.
She looked at Juliet and smiled she couldnt believe it, she was actually going on the mission and meeting Miss Perkinson.

Take a deep breath and calm down she told herself, just act normal

After a few deep breaths Mikayla felt only a little bit calmer

Looking at Mona she asked "Do we need to take anything along with us?"

While waiting for an answer she stood up and ran her hands over her clothes, trying to flatten the creases out of them, she wanted to make a good impression on everyone involved in this mission.

Satisfied that she had gotten her clothes as flat as possible she gathered her muggle coat and began to check it for any spots of fluff, which she promptly removed

"Your wand, of course, and your wits," Mona replied. "We certainly need to be dressed as Muggles, as detectives, they call them."

Mona strode behind her desk and stood in front of a full-length mirror. Squinting at herself in long wizard's robes, she placed her wand near her ankles and swung it in a gentle arc to her neck. She now wore a crisp navy blue suit, with a modest knee-length skirt and blazer, and black pumps.

"Huh," she said, adjusting her jacket. "That ought to do."

She opened a drawer and plucked out several police badges. "I keep these handy in case they're ever needed," she said. "They're the primary means by which Muggle law-keepers distinguish themselves from others, as I'm sure you know." She handed one each to Mikayla and Juliet, securing her own in an inside pocket of her jacket, along with her wand.

Mikayla watched as Mona changed her wizard clothes into muggle clothing. "Nice."
She looked down at her clothes and was glad she had decided to wear smart clothing, happy with her knee length skirt and crisp white shirt, and also feeling that her excitement might cause any spell at this moment to go wrong, she tucked her wand into her coat pocket and accepted the badge off Mona

Tommy smiled at Mikayla and Juliet sadly "Oh well, have fun" he said as he watched them recieve their badges

"Tommy and Bryson," Mona began briskly, "I should like you to contact Miss McPherson, the Minister's liasion for our department. She'll be needing our assistance for the plans-" here she paused and sniffed with a touch of disdain- "for the Minister's wedding. I want you to find out exactly what she wishes to discuss, and draft a brief agenda that we can follow when we meet with her."

"I'm so sorry I am just walking in. I got lost. I'm Brendon," Brendon replied out of breath.

"That's quite alright, Brendon," Mona replied. "Welcome! I'm Mona and I'm your Divion Head. Myself, Mikayla, and Juliet here will be leaving shortly to go in the field. Tommy and Bryson here were going to contact Miss McPherson, who we are supposed to be meeting with soon."

"Ok," Brendon said taking a seat. "Is there anything I can do?"

Payton dashed wickedly into the room, papers and pencils flying left and right. and where was her desk? she as late, yet again, and this desk disapearence was not helping! "Erm," she groaned, annoyed with herself for forgeting where her desked was placed. Her second year of working for the ministy, she forgot! she walked ariond in circles, feeling quite pethetic when she found it placed in the back corner. she shuffled weakly to her desk, throwing everything onto the desk and not even caring to arange it.

"Hokai, whats going on?" Payton took one long gasp, and pushed dark strands from her face.
