"Yes Sir," she said a little embarrassed as they arrived at the shop. She walked in and looked around for a jewelry counter. She remembered professor Rae mentioning she wanted something along those lines.

"So my idea..." she said demurely, "revolves around jewelry. The girls were born in June, so you can either go for a synthetic alexandrite, or... Pearls..." She walked over to the jewelry case, looking in... "I don't know about you professor... but I wouldn't do for something synthetic..."

"Pearls are pretty," he agreed and led them into the back where there was a jewelry display. "You think jewelry is the way to go?"

"Definitely..." she said looking over the pretty jewels... "Professor was born in September, wasn't she?" The question was rhetorical. She'd researched this before she decided to meet with him... "That is the Sapphire birth stone..." Figures, Ravenclaw... she thought to herself.

"Oooo" she cooed as she looked through the glass... "That's pretty..." She said looking at a sapphire, pearl and diamond tiara.



"But it may be too much, I assume that the Ravenclaw in her may not be able to rationalize a Tiara for the expense..." she said as she ran her finger over the glass.

"Earings are a great idea... the girls are twins... you need two earings... what do you think of those?" She said pointing at a pair of pretty sapphire drop earings, with a pearl on a gold setting.

"The tiara is a bit much," Doyle agreed, thinking it would most definitely more Clara's thing than Cassandra's. "I'm not certain there would ever be occasion for her to wear it but, the earrings are nice." He still looked around the case.

"I wouldn't go for the ring..." she said looking at it.



Cassandra's head tilted to one side as she examined it. "It looks... too antiquey... Professor Rae is so, young, still..." She looked at the top of the case... "These earings are pretty... though I liked the others better." she read the caption below the earings. "14 carat Yellow gold, 1.83 grams, Sapphire, Cultured Pearl 2, 7-7.5mm, White."



"The pendant is nice, it would go well with the other earnings..." she read it's caption. "18 carat white gold, sapphire, diamond and pearl pendant... Hmmm white gold... maybe not..."



"You don't have to go with her, or the girls birthstones," she smiled at him, "Emeralds are nice... in silver settings." Slytherin to the bone...

"Perhaps a charm to change the color of the gold," he considered, taking a liking to the necklace. It did complement the earrings. "With the earrings that would be three. One to represent each of us."

"The twins and yourself," She said with a smile... "Very nice choice sir..." she told him, looking at both the necklace and earrings, "You have great taste." she said trying to complement him.

He seemed to be in a better mood than when they had started... she was thinking of apologizing again, but she didn't want to bring the obliviating subject up... He may return to being curmudgeoney... "Professor Rae will be stunning in these," she added.

"Yes, I like them. Perhaps... It doesn't match," he said, seeming to mutter to himself as his eyes caught sight of a lovely ring. it reminded him of one he'd seen his mother wearing once.

"That is stunning... something I would want for myself actually..." she said looking at the beautiful ring, "but... would professor Rae find it as beautiful as we do?" she asked, trying to have him realize it without telling him.

"I have sufficient funds to purchase all of them," he decided. The shop girl was already putting the necklace and earrings into their boxes. "I should have them all gift wrapped."

"Yes Sir..." she said looking down. "Professor Branxton..." she said, unsure of whether or not she should ask him. She took a deep breath and then asked. "Have I truly disappointed you this year?" Her voice cracked at the end of the question as she tried not to become emotional.

Tom walked in the unusual shop and searched the shelves frantically for some quills. Anything would do him. He spotted them on the front counter and grabbed 3. He payed the three knuts, thanked the shop keeper, stuffed them in his box and hurried to level six.

He was busy watching the clerk wrapping up his gifts. And thus enrapture, it took a moment for the girl's words to penetrate his musings. "Disappointed? Well, surely being obliviated was not high on my list of things to have happen but, not entirely disappointed, no."

"I... didn't mean to." she said. She cared about what this particular professor thought of her... He was her first head of house... and she thought very highly. "I kind of thought you are such a good teacher, I got that spell right on my first try..." she said hoping he would be proud of Himself, and his teaching abilities. "it isn't an easy spell, and to have performed it so successfully, and on you, professor..." Take your foot out of your mouth!!! "You are an amazing professor." Ok... now she was going to shut up...

"You should learn to think before you speak and then you might manage to be more articulate," he suggested and then turned to pay the clerk and accept his bag. Professor Branxton shifted his glasses and looked down at the girl. "I will assume you meant whatever you were babbling on about as a compliment and will assure you that I bear you no ill will.

"Yes Sir..." she blushed embarrassed. Stupid, Stupid, Stupid! She thought to herself. She stood silent, waiting for him to finish up. She looked around, but didn't move from his side...

"Well, we should get going now," he said, gesturing toward the door with his bag.[/color]

She nodded and followed him to the apparition spot in the atrium. "She's going to love them..." she said trying to make conversation.

"Yes, I certainly hope so," he said as they walked, wondering what was wrong with the girl. "Was there something else you wanted to talk about?"

Cris entered the Gift Shop with much reluctance. He never had been a fan of gift shops and the like. Bleh. Nevertheless, this was the only way he could get a gift for the wedding without getting out of the Ministry. Maybe he'd make up for it one way or another if the Minister ever realized that one of the gifts was hastily bought in the Ministry's own gift shop.

"Uh. Excuse me. I'm looking for a wedding gift. Any suggestions?" he asked the clerk, at the same time looking around.

The clacking noice grew louder as Bella approached the ministry gift shop. She had only entered this shop once before and that was when her parents first took her along with them to the Ministry when she was younger. They had had something they had to pick up from their office when they were on their way home from Diagon Alley. As she stepped in and looked around, she noticed nothing much had changed in the shop since then.

She was here because firstly, she was bored and second, she might find something she wanted to give to the Minister and Ms. Belle for their wedding. Although it was highly unlikely. Still, it as worth a try.

Bella sighed and went for a little look around the place. There wasn't much there. Reagan did say they will be updating the shop so that giftable items would be available for the employees to buy. It looked like she hadn't done that yet. Bella approached the counter, a little uncertain about what she would be getting the minister and his bride. Maybe she could ask.

She glanced around and her eyes were soon fixed on a cute keyring, hanging from a hook. Obviously not a giftable item, but she liked it and she loved collecting little things like these. She reached out and pulled the key-ring. Unfortunately, she wasn't exactly paying much attention to her surroundings, so when she turned around, she bumped into a person who was already standing there.

Perfect.

"Sorry." She said, balancing her feet just in time so that she wouldn't end up on the floor. She looked up at the man with a small smile. "I ... errm ... wasn't aware you were standing here." Stupid Bella. She blushed a little. She wasn't a clutz. This rarely ever happened. And whenever it did, she turned red.

There Cris was, standing innocently by the counter, minding his own business and thinking up a decent gift for the happy couple, when someone bumped into him and nearly toppled over. Out of force of habit and reflex, he reached out to catch her, but apparently, the woman didn't need it. She was able to stand on her own. He shrugged when she started apologizing.

"Eh, it's not really a big deal. I'm just thankful you didn't fall on your face or anything. That'd be nasty," he commented.

Bella nodded and laughed. Falling on her face was something she had never done before and she didn't want to start now. Especially with the Minister's wedding coming up. It would have been a bad timing for a fall. "Yeah." She said, trying to picture herself with a crooked nose. "I wouldn't want that." She shook her head. "Thank you. A crooked nose isn't excatly desirable."

Seeing as she was bored and had nothing better to do, she decided that she might as well introduce herself to the guy. "Hai." She said, extending her hand towards him. "I am Isabella Brown, but you can call me Bella." Everyone did. Besides, Isabella was too -- formal. She didn't like it much.

"Certainly not," Cris quipped, on the topic of a crooked nose.

And now, she was introducing herself. Not that there was anything wrong with that. In fact, it was kind of nice that he was able to meet someone else from a different department. "Nice to meet you, Bella," he said, shaking her hand gently. "I'm Cristoph Witte, but preferrably, Cris." He didn't really mind what he was called, as long as he wasn't addressed by his last name. He didn't exactly expect anyone to pronounce his last name correctly. The spelling was way off from the pronunciation.

"Say, you aren't looking for a gift for the Minister's wedding, are you? Coz that's what I'm doing, and I'd really like it if I got a second opinion on what I'm about to buy. Or maybe a third," he added the last sentence as he acknowledged the clerk.
