Evaline smiled at Madison. She would be a good asset for anyones department the way she spun up ideas. "Right well I agree with the idea of its another way of transporting one or more people. I myself am not fond of side-a-long apparation." she commented nonchalantly.

She then added that pro to the list as another mode of transportation.

"Well, carpets might be easier for people who are a little bigger." Lizeth said, trying not to sound rude.

"More than one person can ride them making it ideal for families," Anita suggested.

"Excellent, Excellent guys" she exclaimed writing the pros down. Now they were getting some where. And also they were evening out the pros and cons. "Right well now that we have those down, and if anyone has any more that they come up with please tell us, we can get down to which side we want to take." she stated as she wrote the last of the pros down.

She turned back around and looked at the group. "I want to try something. Everyone that doesn't want them legalized move to the right of the room and take a seat on that side of the conference table. Everyone for legalizing them take a seat on the left side of the room." she told them and watched as the employees moved. She really wanted to see how many people wanted them and not and then she was going to let them have some fun with it.

Lizeth stood and walked to the right. She didn't want to legalize them. Her eyes followed each fellow employee as they took a side. She wondered what Evaline was planning.

Anita thought for a moment and then joined Lizbeth on the right. Legalizing them didn't feel like a good thing to her.

Ryan debated on which side to pic, she had never been one for Magic Carpets herself, but it seemed to her that the cons made more sense than the pros. She joined the other two women on the right side.

Madison took it upon herself to go against what the others chose at the moment and moved to the left side of the room. If they were legalized everywhere else, what was the point of not having them legal here as well. To her knowledge, no one else seemed to have problems with them and it was the mere fact that brooms were legalized as well, so why not a magical carpet.

The past twenty minutes or so seemed to have flown by for Lorraine as employees whizzed ideas around the room, Evaline taking careful notes of the pros and cons. Shivering slightly in her seat, the hazel-eyed woman realized that perhaps Ang was right . . . she did need a break, despite her lame excuses for denying it.

Taking a deep breath, she realized how suddenly very proud of her three employees she was. They were each doing a fabulous job with contributing ideas and despite her sudden ill feeling, she was still aware of their excellence. Especially Madison; that witch seemed to really blossom at this task with her genuine concerns.

Scarlet fever?! Lorraine thought, sitting up straighter as she turned to look at the woman who knocked and then walked in. Weird . . . "No," she replied, quietly since it seemed others had moved on.

Except for Madison. The Floo Network employee continued on her streak of brilliance with ideas, which even in Lorraine's worst state, made her incredibly pleased with her work ethics.

Lorraine looked around to see three woman sitting on the right side of the room, which Evaline had took charge to see who was for legalizing flying carpets versus not. Looking sideways at Evaline, she gave her an encouraging smile. "Thank you," she whispered, deciding she would explain her quietness after the meeting.

"Interesting," she said, standing up in hopes that it would make her feel better. Taking a sip of water quickly after realization of her sudden dry throat, she then addressed the group, "As you decide where you stand in the legalization of flying carpets, I am wondering if you think it would be worthwhile to have two groups present at the conference; those for and those against. It would however also mean that our group would be split . . ." she tacked on the last sentence quietly, questioning her own motives for a moment.

Evaline watched as the people in the meeting split up into how they felt about the situation. So far it was three on the cons side and one on the pros.

For her plan she was hoping it would be more even to make it fair but she figured life wasn't fair. Her idea was to have them confront their opinions with each other because that was exactly how they were going to have to do it with the Minister. She wanted to see how the could handle the situation of knowing other people didn't feel the same and make sure they could back up their points to the hilt. She also hoped this experiment would work.

She heard Lorraine say something and she shook her head. "No I don't think that would be very good if we split up our group. We want the decision to stand as a whole for the Ministry and if we are split we look indecisive. I was hoping today we would come to one group decision and stick with it although if we go for pro then their would really be no arguement. Well lets see how this goes and we'll decide then." she replied.

Lizeth nodded, listening to Evaline. She wasn't entirely sure what to say so she kept her mouth shut. A yawn escaped her and she tried to cover it with her hand.

Madison stood by herself as she was the only one who walked to the left side of the room. She was not about to change her mind as this was what she believed in. Her eyes glanced from not only Lorraine but Ms. Bass as well. The question that was on her mind was, where do they go from here? It wasn't just a test, this was for the Wizarding country they lived in and also something to be presented to the committee.

"If push came to shove, would the board take into consideration that we are still wanting to gather more information at the time of the meeting. I see that I am the only one for it, but just state that at the present time, it was felt that the carpets could not be agreed upon or actually I am out voted at the moment so they were not passed?" She wanted to make sure that their reasoning behind everything was thoughtfully considered.

"Or are we still presenting them with a set of laws and they will choose whether they are for or against the fact of having Magical Carpets?"

Evaline was watching as the last of them settled in on the side they wanted and it was very noticeable that the not in favor for legalizing was the majority. But this wasn't to show which side they would take. It was just to see the reasoning.

She turned to Madison and said, "I wanted to see how our team looked on the matter and what was favored before we got into the actually conference. Your opinion will not be push out because your not on the majority vote I promise you." she replied in reassurance.

She then turned to them. "Right well now that you see where the vote would have laid if we did majority rules. We would all be con's, but just because its the majority doesn't mean its right. The whole idea is to back up our opinions and show how our standing is sufficent to keep the carpets out of the country or to legalize them and also just to dicuss the matter. Our conference with India won't automatically decide what the Ministry is going to do. It's just to get the ball rolling." she stated and breathed a bit.

She then smiled at them, "I did this because when we go into this conference we aren't going to have a side. We have facts and knowledge about both arguements and with India there we will have a better sense on what its like with them which will help our views since they all seem to be going with keep the same. This is an eye opener for all of us that we are suppose to not just pick but assess both sides and then decide."

Lizeth nodded. "Well each side does have it's pros and cons. So I guess what you're saying makes sense." She shrugged. "I mean you could argue either side effectively without really supporting one or the other."

Evaline nodded at Lizeth. "Exactly. Exactly. Which is why choosing a side hald blindedly doesn't work." she explained to them.

She then looked at the board. "I want you each to write down the pros and cons and take a good look at it. We all need to make sure we can back up anything we've put on here and prove how it could harm or help our government." she stated.

Lorraine wasn't really sure what to expect out of this meeting, but Evaline seemed to be doing a good job of taking charge which pleased her. Not that ever really doubted her... The brunette nodded her head subtly in understanding when Evaline addressed her concern about the group being split. It was quite the valid point; if they were indecisive then it wouldn't look good on the British Ministry at all.

Then Madison spoke; the only one on the left side, which to some extent, Lorraine was proud. She didn't give in to peer pressure and stood by her beliefs. Truthfully, she more sided with Madi on this matter as carpets were already illegal. And yet there was more in favor of flying carpets as modes of transportation it seemed.

Glancing back up at Evaline, she nodded when the IMC Dept Head addressed Madison's valid concerns, which helped her to understand as well.


Lorraine gave another encouraging nod when Evaline appeared to round up the meeting. "What Ev- Miss Bass said, holds true for the three in my Department as well." She told them all calmly, before deciding on her next order of business before everything was concluded. "I'll need you all to return your seats and then write down pros and cons for both sides of the argument and submit to us a hard copy of them so we could review and choose a side." She said, with a meaningful look at each of the faces in the room.

Evaline smiled as she watched them all move back to their original seats. She had a feeling though that they may need to choose a side before the conference none the less. She didn't want to but it may have to happen.

As she watched them all write down the pros and cons she gave them some intructions. "Ok, so while you guys are writing this stuff down, like I said I need to have everyone that wasn't in here from the Division of Magical Office of Law updated on these lists but I also want something else." she stated. "I have a feeling that they may need us to choose a side for this, although I don't think its right, but it may happen. I need a written statement from all of you, including the people not here which includes what side you choose, the reasoning for it, and the proof."

She then genaralized this for the people in her department. "Try holding one big division meeting for this so everyone can get the info and collect their responses there and then get them into me."

She then went back to the whole group. "I will need these written statements by no later then Monday. (September 22) If they are not in I will just have to go by the ones I have and decide which side we take."

Lizeth nodded as Evaline spoke. "Yes ma'am. I'll inform my Division Head of this and I'm sure it will be taken care of." She wondered why Kate wasn't here herself. She was the only person here from her division so she needed to spread the news.

Madison casually walked back to her seat and began scribbling down the added pros and cons that they had discussed earlier. At least she had the chance of taking her work home and jotting down a few ideas of her own that might come up as well, ones that were not discussed within this meeting.

She then made another note stating her choice of sides and for her, would be writing out the pros for allowing the carpets to be approved. She wanted to make her statement clear and just showing why the pros needed to also be on the list as to making the carpets legal since she was the only one that stood on the left side of the room.

Her stomach growled slightly from the need of food as she hadn't had a chance to eat lunch yet. She needed to make sure to add more time in for herself these days but it was just the plain fact that she wanted to make something of herself here within the Ministry. To allow her services to be used in anyway they could be used.

'Due Monday' she wrote along the piece of parchment that was in front her. The long quill extended neatly from her fingers as the calligraphy handwriting stopped suddenly from the notes she took. Her brown eyes then fell upon the two Department Heads as she waited for the next thing on the list, if there was one.

Lizeth, following Madisons lead, returned to her seat. She wondered how much longer they would be here. She was tired and hungry. It had been a long day.

Evaline gave them a few moments to write down the pros and cons and decided that this meeting could be concluded. "Alright everyone. I think that will be all." she said to them warmly and then added. "Actually instead of sending your responses to me. Let's have a break for a few days and think about what we talked today and come back on Monday ready to make a final decision on what side we will take in case for some reason we need it" she finished letting them go on their way.

Madison quickly changed her notes to 'meeting on Monday', not that she would forget, but just for a simple pleasure note of having it wrote down. She gathered her things and stood up to exit the room, but before leaving she walked over to Ms. Bass and held out her hand for a handshake.

"I wanted to thank you in allowing me to help with the matter. It's good to have extra work to do from time to time, and quite interesting as well," she smiled letting the Department Head know that she was quite interested in helping out as much as she could.

Evaline smiled at Madison and then replied, "No problem. I am happy to have you aboard. Your opinions will make this conference with India a great success." It was true. All of the people's thoughts and ideas would help the Ministry make a big decision and impact on the future of flying carpets.

(ooc: Ok I'm so sorry for all this confusion, but instead of having you send me your opinions we'll have another meeting starting Monday the 22nd and lasting no longer then Friday the 26th. You will all see what this meetings about then.

For my department I know I told you to inform your fellow workers and have them send your opinions to me. Lizeth stood up and smiled at Evaline. "Well, I should get back to work." She said, barely hiding a yawn. She nodded toward her fellow employees on her way out. "I guess I'll see you all on Monday."

Madison smiled once more to Ms. Bass then turned to walk out with her things in hand. She had a lot to do and was more than proud to have work to keep her busy since school would be starting soon.
