A corridor stretches from the lifts to the departments.

Syd waited for the Headmistress to get out of the lift and followed behind her. There were plenty of tightly shut doors around and the place was eerily quiet.

"This place gives me the creeps sometimes..." he said softly, but the echo in the corridor made it louder. "Well, guess we better get lookin'."

"The Brain Room. But I know they won't let us in. Perhaps if we just knocked politely?" She laughed at that thought. Excuse me... can I see your brains?

"Brain Room? Hmm..." Syd said, trying to read the labels in the dim light. "Guess we could knock..."

He raised his hand up to the large door and knocked with his knuckles a few times. Could they even hear knocking in there? He highly doubted it...

"I believe if anyone were in there, they'd answer," Rae said dejectedly. "Certainly Doyle would. He's very prompt and polite." She sighed. "Perhaps your level, Mr. Wordsmith? Or Magical Accidents?"

Irene, upon hearing the faint knocking, opened the door a bit, "Eh?" She opened it a bit wider, "How may I be of service to you two?" She nodded her hello to the gentlemen standing there, and to the woman.

"Oh... oh good! Have you... er... seen Mr. Doyle Branxton in there lately? I know he works in your department, and I need to see him," she tried to peer around the woman into the room.

She raised an eyebrow at the woman, "Hold on..." She snatched the parchment off her desk, and looked briefly around the room. "No Doyle Branxton here, ma'am." She thought for a moment, "But the name does seem vaguely farmilliar..."

"He's a professor at Hogwarts," Rae admitted. "But he still works here from time to time. I'm sorry to have bothered you. I... suppose I'll try looking for him elsewhere. Good day."

"Ah." She said, "That must be it. No bother, Miss. Good day." She nearly closed the door, before she had another thought, "If I do spot him or...hear...something, Is there some way I can let you know?"

"Tell him his wife was looking for him. That should be sufficient," Rae waved a few fingers at the woman before turning to head back toward the lift.

Kirk slid out of the door way and quietly closed the door behind him. he heard the lock click shut as he let the disillusionment charm he had placed upon himself fall off. His eyes widened as he saw the 2 people standing in the corridor staring at him.

"hehe, Good afternoon" he said nervoulsy. "Dont mind me" he muttered as he made his way down the corridor...

Joshua was walking down the hallway when he heard something about a Hogwarts professor. He noticed the headmistress and decided to tell her about her professor. "Excuse me madame, a Hogwarts professor named Erickson is working in my department. Though he hasn't showed up for work yet." he told her, hoping to be useful. "I work in the Planet room." he said.

Doyle Branxton was still technically an employee of the Ministry, though he hadn't done much actual work in the Department of Mysteries since the disappearance of the Book of Mysteria. In fact, it seemed Cooper had removed his office entirely. So, here he was, standing in the middle of the corridor cleaning his glasses and debating whether or not to just leave rather than go upstairs and speak to the Minister about it. He did have his three girls back at home, afterall.

Brennan marched down the long corridor, looking to see if he could figure out where this horrendous accident had occurred. He was whistling, obviously not that concerned that Ministry personnel had been lost. "Ah, Doyle, old chap. I'm looking for... the locked room."

Doyle raised an eyebrow. "As Minister of Magic I would have thought you'd know your own Ministry," he remarked. Oh how he loathed this man.

"I know where it used to be, but I think it moved when it exploded," he looked around again. "I had an idea. Clara and I would like to watch the girls so that you and Cece can go on a vacation. What do you think?"

He just stared. What? Was he insane? Leave the girls with him? Absolutely not. Over his dead body. Doyle took out his handkerchief and began cleaning his glasses as he allowed the thoughts of outright refusal and horror run through his mind before speaking. He replaced his glasses, carefully folded the handkerchief, and then cleared his throat. "That is something we'd have to discuss with Cassandra," he diplomatically replied.

"Well, you do that, and let me know. Clara is thrilled about being able to take children to the zoo and the waterpark. We've missed out by waiting this long, I suspect." That was what one said in situations like these. He smiled broadly and looked jolly.

"To be honest, Cooper, I'm not certain either of you are prepared to handle one child let alone two. Vivi is quite the fireball," Doyle said hoping but, not counting on him taking the hint.

"Perhaps the other Cooper couple would take... darling Genevieve for that weekend, and we could borrow Sophia?" He liked her better anyway. Quiet, serious, clever. She was exactly as he remembered Cece being at that age.

No way was Cooper getting his hands on his Sophia. "Sophia doesn't do well without her sister around. Perhaps it would be better for you to get to know the girls on their own grounds before whisking them away from their parents."

But he didn't want to spend time with their parents. He shrugged. "Would you let Alec and his wife take them out?"

"I'd have to discuss it with Cassandra," he answered, though he was thinking absolutely not. That woman.... He mentally shuddered. "I'm not certain the girls are really up for extended babysitting, yet."

"They're five years old. They're certainly old enough to spend time with someone else. You trust house elves to raise them, but your own flesh and blood..." He shook his head.
