With a new mission in progress, it was really time for Elizabeth to prove herself. As she made her way to the scene, the first thing that hit her was the smell. It was so strong and almost unbearable. She clasped a hand to her nose.
"Oh my goodness!" she exclaimed. It really was repulsive. But smell or no smell, someone had died and she had a job to do.
"Do you know any information on the victim yet?" Elizabeth asked Forrester.

Edward follows Forrester's directions to the crime scene, an ordinary looking house in a muggle neighborhood. He walks in. The smell lets him know the crime scene must be up stairs in one of the bedrooms. Edward climbs the stairs and crosses through the crime scene tape. The stench takes his breath away. Edward take out his wand and performs Elimintas Smellem Charm on his nose. Arturus Jasper, the first auror Edward was teamed with taught him the spell. Edward isn't sure if Arturus ever had the spell approved by the Ministry or not, but it eliminates the stench better than anything else Edward knows.

Edward walks over and examines the body. It shows all the signs of an Avada Kedavra Curse. The body shows no sign of injury. Something must have woken him up since he fell beside the bed. If he had been asleep, he would have still been in the bed. Edward walks over to where Forrester is standing. "Hello Elizabeth, Forrester. I take it the body hasn't been moved. If not I would assume something woke the victim up. He must have been at the door when he was murdered. His expression is nondescript. I can't tell from it if he knew his attacker or not."

Alexa followed her team to the investigation site. Spotting Edward she walked over.
"Do we know what happened?" She asked quizzically. Seeing another woman she walked over.
"Hello. I'm Alexa Black. You must be Elizabeth."

Edward smiles at Alexa. That's why we're here. We're suppose to find out what happened."

Alexa rolled her eyes at her mentor.
"Yeah, nuduh. But do we have anything on the victim, background, medical records anything?"

Edward enjoys Alexa rolling his eyes at him. "I would imagine Forrester will brief us on what is going on and what information we have when everyone gets here. I believe Forrester would like your opinion on the body. The stench doesn't bother you?"

"It bothers me," Elizabeth mumbled through holding her nose so her voice sounded odd.
"Yeah that's me. Nice to meet you, Alexa," she said to the Auror who had joined her.

"I can fix that, Elizabeth, if you will allow me?"

"Okey everyone I see that not all of you are here but I guess you can tell your friends what they need to know... Okey the case we have infront of us is the following... Matilda McDreams, 21 year old witch, found dead at her apartment as you can see... The female is supposed to be killed by the instant killing curse... Motives are still unkown as well as the murderer or I wouldn't have asked for you to come with me... Your job is to look for evidence for this case... Then share them with me till we find out who did it?"
"Now you might as isn't there any one that has left a clue somewhere... Well the answer is yes... You can have them at the end of the investigation... Where you will each search for the truth... Any questions?"

Since she was killed by an instant killing curse, we can rule out a muggle as the murderer. What did Miss McDream do for a living?

Did she have a boyfriend who also happened to be a wizard?

Did she have a muggle boyfriend?

Did she have any known enemies?

Has anyone one threatened her recently?

Was she seen having an arguement with any one shortly before the murder took place?

Do you have any information as to what the victim was doing the last day she was alive?

Was there evidence of a break in, or that her front or back door had be subjected to any kind of spells?

Was there any evidence found at the scene of the crime?

Is there any evidence that the body was moved or tampered with?

What is her family background?

Was she muggle born?

Did she get along with her family?

Is there any record of her being involved in any illegal activties?

Is there a record of any of her family being involved in illegal activities?

Was anything stolen from the house?

Are there any signs that a stuggle took place before the murder occurred?

You said Miss McDreams was suppose to have been killed by a instant killing curse. Do you have reason to believe she was not?

Was she killed by the Avada Kedravra Curse?

Is there evidence of any wounds or other marks on the body?

Bethany entered the apartment, and the smell threatened to overwhelm her. She looked over at the body. "Forrester has the body been processed for fibers, evidence yet? Should I call in a medical examiner? Or would you like me to take care of that?"

Edward laughs waiting for Forrester's answer to that question.

"I've smelt worse, believe you me" She turns away though, just because it's there doesn't mean it's pleasant.

"Hi, Elizabeth. Nice to meet you too. How long have you been with us?"

Well as Edward said, there are many motives. We can rule out alot if we can get some background history on her. Schooling, friends, ect."

Forrester listened to Edward as he asked multiple questions. He quickly memorized his questions and replied as soon as he was over. "Quite a number of questions you have here my friends. Okay so here we go.
"Okey as for your first question, the one about what Miss McDream used to do... Well she used to work at her bookshop at diagon alley, not much of a all known bookshop as no one had ever heard of it before since Diagon alley's

"Silly question" Forrester said as he prepaired himself to answer the second question. "Did she have a boyfriend? Well who doesn't and yes he is a wizard, Carl Bay, used to work just next to her in a magical creature shop."

"According to another witness, miss McDream seems to be the type of person that always helps people out and nevere said no to anyone, she couldn't make enemies it was impossible... Did she get herself an enemy this way well don't know maybe"

"Well miss McDream never submitted any threatning letter or anything of that sort to our department which leaves me with no and which tells me that she might not have attracted enemies

Actually we have three eye witnesses that have proclaimed that they have seen her fight and get in argument with different people but most commanly with her boyfriend her friend.

"The first eye witness is a muggle and her neighbour, Alex M. and this is what he had to say about seeing our victim with her boyfriend fighting.:

"The next eye witness is her mother miss. Angelica McDream and she stayed that she was talking to a man over a cellular phone, type of devices that muggles use to communicate with each other, and here is what she had to say."
"The last eye witness which is McDream's friend stated that her best friend had got in a fight with her boyfriend that ended up with them breaking up. McDream spent the day with her friend before heading back home at 6 pm"

"No there is no evidence of a break in, nor did the door contain any type of magic that include into thinking that the door was subjected to spells to make it open unless for a couple of Alohomora that can have been easily casted by the victim"


"Evidence at the crime scene are yours to find... You will search for them and you will report to me... It's time for you to learn how to investigate on your own"

"Family background still searching for something the only thing found was that her grandfather was jailed in Azkaban for 4 years after he was found guilty or actually an accomplise in the death of Jeremy Fox."

"Yes her father is muggle born but he left his wife and his kid after he discovered that they were wizards at the time when our victim was 11 years old."
"I still have to conduct an interrogation with her mother and her step brother to check a couple of things I will tell you what happened next"

"No miss. McDream doesn't even have a single black point on her school reports, she is clean as a new page... Which I found a bit bizzare"

"After her mother checked the house under my supervision, she only mentionned that a potion veil was stolen or maybe she gave it to someone"

"No... No signs of struggle... All was nice and clean when I started to investigate here"

"Yes she was according to a healer but I'm not sure."

"There is a healer that checked the body for any other marks and wounds... Nothing was mentionned... The healer said that the victim was killed by an Evada Kedavra as well"

"I never said that I don't believe Miss McDream wasn't killed by a killing curse... I just dought it and I'm going to prove it"

"Yes but I would like to keep them for me at this instant... Well at least I'm sure of them then we can talk about them"

"According to the healer, she was dead for more than two days, at 8 pm that means 2 hours after she got back home."

"The body was found by the best friend, Sarah Parker, after her friend didn't answer neither herself phone or her house phone for more than 48 hours... Sarah came back to the appartment to find her best friend dead next to her bedroom."

After covering up every question, Forrester could remember and after he felt that he was undergoing a press conference. He looked at Beth when she asked a question herself.

"Yes everything was taking care of in this way as I have already said... Your job is to find some evidence or come up with a theory... You may start working if you don't have questions" Forrester replied. "And Alexa and Elizabeth I guess it's better if you start to work as well you will have much more time to get introduced"

"Forrester, is there any chance that we could get copies of that Examiner's report?"

"Yes of course, each of you will have a full report that contains everything about the crime and what we found out as soon as we are back at the office"

Bethany glanced into the living room, something was not right there. She walked in a Grid Pattern and found some blood on the floor. "Forrester, there is blood on the floor here! The body was moved!" She called out. Extracting a blood testing kit from her pocket, she pulled out the test tube and a swab to collect a sample for testing and took photographs of the entire scene and cataloged the evidence.

"Hmm... Very well done Bethy now we know that she didn't die in the bedroom... So she was moved"

"And we know that it couldn't have been the Avada Kedavera because there is blood! The AK curse does not leave behind blood!" Beth said excitedly.

"Then I was correct... It wasn't the Evada Kedavra that killed her or at least not immediatly" Forrester replied. "So if the body was moved and no trace of it is found that leaves us with two theories... Can anyone state them?" Forrester asked.

If the body was moved, then the murder did not take place in this room. The person or persons was able to move the body undetected. The most obvious theory is the murder took place in another room of the flat. The murderer probably cleaned up the crime scene before he left. That would also explain why he moved the body. By placing the body in another room he has managed to destroy and inportant investigation tool the crime scene. We will need to investigate every room in the house to see if we can find evidence as to where the crime took place if it took place here.

"Theory one, she was killed in a muggle manner and magic was used to stage the scene.

Theory two, Our medical examiner is either a crackpot or in on this."

Beth said.

" Good Theories..." Forrester said as he laughed at the last one.
"But you are not so close... Magic was used to kill McDream and no the healer is just fine... He was right... Avada Kedavra did kill McDream... If it comes to me... My theories will be first that magic was used to move the body in a way where it won't leave any trace behind it... Maybe by leviating the body or apparating it... Second thing is that, we need to check people backgrounds... Elizabeth please do that now... Go back to the office and search for Carl Bay please..."

"But Forrester I don't understand something. The Avada Kedavera has never left blood behind, ever so if this is the Avada Kedavera then who does the blood belong to? Is there a possibility that it could be our perp's blood?" Beth queried
