A Star at Hogwarts

.::.Plot.::.
Nothing unusual had happened at Hogwarts over the past fifty years, since Harry Potter and his friends fought the last battle against Voldemort. The new, renovated school was just like any other normal wizarding school in the world – students, Quidditch, teachers, pranks, rule breaking, detentions, love affairs, broken hearts.

One night, when all the students were chatting away in the common room, something strange happened. All candles blew out, yet the windows were close. There was not a speck of light in either Hogsmade or Hogwarts. Nobody could see anything and they felt like they were all blinded. No magic could work.

And then, a bright star shot across the sky and landed in the Hogwarts grounds, causing a mini earthquake. After about one minute, the lights returned and everything went back to normal.

Deep in the Hogwarts forests, a girl lay in the middle of a crater which was caused by the star, unconscious. She looked like she was around sixteen year old. Her blonde hair spread around her on the ground, her long, sliver dress looked perfect on her. She was glowing -- the light was too bright for any human eye, and then the light slowly dimmed and then vanished.

… And she lay there, under the sky, among the animals residing in the forest.

The girl emerged from the forest, hours later, managing not to run into the various Professors searching the grounds. She was helped by the centaurs along the way, who knew who she was and where she came from because of their extraordinary gifts. She wasn’t sure how she ended up on Earth or how to get out of here, the only thing she was sure about was that she had to go into the castle.

Once inside, she ran into someone. An older woman. The woman had a tired look in her eyes, yet, it was somehow gentle and serene. As if she knew who the girl was. As if she had been waiting for her.

So, Vega, a star, has landed on earth. She is not sure how she got here or how to get out. She wasn’t even sure if she had to get out. Maybe she had to stay on earth. The headmistress knew of her arrival as she was already warned by one of the centaurs that this will happen. Vega will be staying at Hogwarts and she was sorted into Gryffindor. The thing is, she is an angel – inside-out. Her being here has caused many of the Hogwarts girls discomfort and the boys pretty much swoon over her. She doesn’t belong to this selfish world --- How will she survive?

Hogwarts. It is the middle of the first term and about fifty years after Harry Potter's last battle at Hogwarts.

Name: Mathieu Dubois
Nickname(s): Mathi or Mat by some, but he prefers Mathieu

Appearance: Mathieu is tall and slender with a muscular build. His hair is light blond and his eyes are an icy blue. Around his neck he wears a black leather strap with a silver cross hanging from it. Usually he can be found wearing tight sweaters and dark blue jeans, but if he had a choice he’d wear his robes any day. Mathieu has an angelic glow about him and seems very innocent.

Personality: Mathieu is extremely quiet. He speaks rarely, but when he does it’s usually of wisdom. He’s a hopeless romantic and can usually be found reading Shakespeare. He’s always writing about love or drawing things that make him feel love. He can always be found with a pad of paper, a charcoal pencil, and a self-inking quill for whenever something inspires him to do what he loves best. He’s also probably one of the sweetest souls you’ll ever meet. He’s extremely loyal and will take any secret to the grave. All of the Dubois have the need to fall in love.

History: Mathieu was born to Tristan and Alice Dubois in Montpellier, France. He is one of five siblings: William (19), Madeleine (17), Mathieu (16), Rainier (14), and Oliver (13). The family has lived in France for the children’s whole life and they do not plan on leaving anytime soon. Tristan works as a successful Astronomy professor at Beauxbatons Academy, while Alice is a clothing designer who is always traveling to the heart of Paris. Each child has their own specific thing they do and every person in their family supports them. Mathieu wishes to be a writer or an artist of some sort, living in Bordeaux, once he is graduated. His greatest aspiration, though, is to fall in love.

Other(s): Mathieu is fluent in French and English. He is currently in the process of learning Italian with his sister as well. What people may not know is that he has one of the most angelic singing voices, but he rarely shares that.

Her family is very traditional, which is where she gets her sense of style. If she can help it, she usually goes barefoot – except to class.

Personality: Maddie is extremely pleasant to be around. She’s not loud, but more on the quiet side, much like the rest of her family. She is more into music and dancing rather than reading and writing, even though she does enjoy it. She aspires to be a ballerina so usually she wears her ballerina shoes, unless barefoot of course. She, much like the rest of her family, wishes to fall in love. She is an excellent listener and even better and giving advice. Even better, she won’t tell a soul your secrets. She has a very soft voice and makes friends quite easily, especially when she breaks out of her shell.

Personality: Katherine is very outgoing and loves adventures and unpredictable things, she's usually either trying to break a fight or creating one. She's very loyal, and will do everything for those she considers friends.

Background: Has two older brothers, already graduated. Her mother, Violet, died a few years after she was born, it was up to her father, Rowlan, to take care of the family then. For generations her family has worked in the Ministry, and two exceptions made for the ones who pursued Quidditch careers.

Others: She loves animals, and the stars, which she always thought were too much unpredictable. Her favorite classes are none other that Magical Creatures and Astronomy. She'a also somewhat good in Quidditch, she's in the Gryffindor team, as a substitute.

Personality: Natasha is a die hard perfectionist and always wants everything, and everyone, around her to be perfect. That may be the reason she has little friends. She is surprisingly loyal, but true to her house she is very cunning and she is not afraid to do whatever it takes to get what she wants. It wasn't a surprise to herself or anyone when she was appointed prefect of her house, she hopes to be Head Girl next year.

Background: Natasha's parents were always too busy, and she spent most of her childhood alone; since she was an only child. Given her stellar academic record and amazing achievements, her parents still feel she doesn't meet their expectations. Even though she is killing herself trying. She has been hurt a lot by the opposite sex in her life, every man she has been with has cheated on her. Even so, she is a romantic at heart and wants nothing more than to find someone she loves and who loves her in return.

Well, yes. I am mixing the two together here. I loved the idea of a 'human' star. Only I didn't exactly make Vega a human, she has been alive for about 1600 human years. o.o I sort of have a lot of stuff related to this in my head and it is a little different from Stardust ... I guess. I just watched the movie and Imm not sure about how or where the star came from, but I have a backgorund, but I just couldn't be bothered typing it all down.

Vega is actually the fourth brightest real star in our galaxy. At least that is what I remember reading ...

History: Grace was born in a middle class family. Her father is an Auror and her mother died when she was six and she is an only child. Her father thought that by giving her everything she ever wanted, he could become a good mother. That's basically her history.

Personality: Grace has one problem. She trusts easily and opens up with strangers as if she knows them forever. She can get really annoying at times. She is a good student. Gets most of her work done. She can be a bit of a drama queen and gets jelous very soon. Not good a controlling her temper and lets people know what she thinks about them most of the time. She can be a bit of a cry baby too. She doesn't like being told how she should behave.

History: Alex was born in New York. Him, his older brother and his parents moved to Seattle when he was about five because his father needed a change from the city of New York, having lived there pretty much his entire life. They moved back to New York when Alex was 11. He attended St. Vertigo's since then. Unfortunately, in his sixth year, both his parents died in an accident and his older brother then became his leagal gardien until he turned seventeen.

Personality: One thing is sure about Alex -- he is very loyal. He may not seem too bright when you first meet him and sometimes speaks the most random things which have nothing to do with what is going on. He likes to speak to people and making friends, but he likes his time alone. He can be really romantic when he wants to be, which is most of the time. Although he is very happy and cheerful, he keeps to himself a lot. He doesn't really like talking about himself. If there was one person he could talk to about himself, it was his best friend, who was killed. He feels very lonely without his friend and sometimes hates himself for not sticking with him while fighting and running off in the other direction.

Personality:
Vega is a very delicate and emotional person, no matter how hard she pretends not to be. She has lived among her kind, where she hasn’t ever faced anything the humans face everyday. She is oblivious to all backstabbing and betrayal. She had heard about them, but never imagined anything like hatred or betrayal could ever exist. There were evils in her world as well, but she was always kept well away from everything. Vega easily opens up to people, without thinking about the consequences, not that she had had to worry about anything before. Her sixth sense helps her out in that department.

Special Abilities:
Of course she will have special abilities! She’s a star. All stars glow when they are at their emotional peek --- happiest, saddest, most passionate, angriest etc. It isn’t exactly an ability … she can’t help it, but it can be a disadvantage, specially when she is the most scared and trying to hide, it won’t help if you suddenly light up and start glowing. The glow, however is strongest when she is in one of her happy and cheerful moods while it is light when she is upset, but you can still see the difference.

She has a sixth sense … she can feel what others feel about her, but she can’t manipulate feelings (it was something her mother can do). It is dead helpful though and her body also always tells her when something dangerous is around or someone is not right. It’s like her personal sneakoscope.

She can heal others. She doesn’t need a magic wand or anything to be able to do it; all she has to do is touch the person. She can also perform various other magic that any ordinary wizard can perform; only she doesn’t need a wand. She cannot kill anyone though. Spells like Crucio and stuff, she can't do. Stars don't kill, they protect.

She cannot lie. Even if she tries. It is one of the freaky things about being a star, you can't lie.

Personality: Skye is quiet at the best of times. He likes nothing better than to retreat into a good mystery book. He is an amazing judge of charcter and will generally tell people what he's thinking.
He can be a bit snobbish sometimes and will look down on people, but this can be overlooked as soon as he gets over his prejudices.

History: In his third year he was heavily bullied and that left him seeming a bit distant to everyone else.
His parents, Lee and Skaya Evans hardly ever talk to him, but he wouldn't have it any other way.

Other: He has a long scar from his left shoulder to his opposing hip, no-one knows how he got it, and his mother, Skaya refuses to tell.

Full Name: Taylor Jace York.
NickName: Taad, Captain Jace (Thats only by Close ones though)- Tally.

Build: Athletic muscular.
Eyes: Darkish Brown. (Sometimes with the anger on- which is rare- You may even think they are black..
Height: 5' 11
Hair: Black. Toterrlly messy- since Mr. York has a tendency to run his hands over them minute after minute.

Appearance:

Always Ever Messsy Hair. Always. He doesn't give much to what he looks like- too busy in other suff he is- But still the messy Hair, and the gooofy grin gets him a pass amongst the Ladies.

Personality: Always popping up with new ideas- but he barely gives a them second look because he finds himself distracted by something new in just seconds. Taylor is one guy you can't find saying: 'Man am Bored'- He is always too busy with something or the other. He is your Comic, Skate Boarders loving type of guy who is always Dum Da Dhum Da dooo- humming some weird tones.

Due to his clever wit (which he doesn't know about- he just thinks its his Blunt side)- you will often find him doing stand up comedy for his friends AND due to his love for always noisy and something happening atmosphere- he tends to get along with Grace easily.

He is a bit confused by the girls though- they always leave him dumbfounded. So he doesn't really try to get along with too girly girly girls.- Its too complicated for him and his already little love rejected mind- since being rejected by the only girl he thought he was hopelessly infatuated with (And he won't admit but he thought she was the preeetiessst of all) - He finds himself getting along with girls only like Grace- (He doesn't know but he still has a soft corner for love- but its buried, kicked- poked somewhere real deep)

Extra: He has a Pet Dog name Otis- he is somewhat like Bruno in Wizard Of Oz. Taylor considers him his best Pal.

Personality: Talk to him- he wont talk to you. Attitude. Yes attitude. Its suspected that you need a meteor hitting the earth if you even want to get Mr. Bates looking at you. He doesn't claim he is the best but everything about him does. You won't know he is there- but when he is- No one can resist his being.

He can't trust anyone easily. Trust is something that is the hardest part in Valeed's life.. The only guy who could bare Valeed’s logics and personality is Alex. Valeed trust him completely.

Sarcastic when someone gets on his nerves. Quite, real quite- but his quietness is often predicted to be the calmness before a sudden violent storm.

Girls. Valeed tries his best to be away for them because just like our Taylor- Valeed finds them confusing and wise as he is- he claims them to be Mother Nature’s worst mistake. But due to his looks- Girls are there for him. You get the gist then, ey?
