OOC. Who wants to move onto the sorting now?

Lily walked into the Great Hall with all the other first years. "This place is amazing," she breathed to Tamzin and Sam. "That must be the sorting hat!" she said, pointing to the patchy hat that was placed on a three-legged stool in front of the staff table.

Tamzin smiled. "Yeah. Can they puh-lease get a new clean hat." She giggled.

"You would think that after all these years and magic they'll get a new one" Thomas chuckled, shaking his head but looking at the old hat, "However, it's good he's old, just imagine all those wizards and witches he's sorted" he said, thinking that it was probably the reason why the sorting hat always placed you in the right house, it obviously knew all your family's history.

"Yeah but. I dont like it. Its old and it has to smell real bad." She sighed. Thsi argument wasnt going anywhere. She might aswell give up.

Sam looked at the sorting hat and frowned. "Do they do this alphabetically...or by some prearranged system." His nerves had started to get the best of him again.

"Sam, dont look so worried. I think its alphabetically not sure." Tamzin smiled. God he looked really scared. She was worried. She didnt wan to be separated from her new friends.

Thomas was thrilled when the professor called him and gestured him to put the hat on, it really looked old, as soon as he placed it on his head he heard a little voice say, "Hmm...a Madley, you're always easy to place, and so brave" it said, before calling out a loud, "Gryffindor!", this was by far the easiest thing he had to do being a wizard.

He stepped down and ran quickly to the Gryffindor table, waving at the friends he was waiting to get sorted, hopefully, someone might share his house as well.

IC:Tammy smiled over at Thomas and gave him a small thumbs up. "Tamzin Wood." She looked up. God thats me. She hoped no-one turned to look as she didnt make any attempt to move. "Miss Wood? Please come to the front." She then began to feel her feet dragging her down the isle to the hat. God the ugly old hat.

As she sat on the stool the brim fell over her eyes. God, she could be going somewhere. She felt sick and couldnt see anything. "Hmm. You and your twin this year? Odd to place? Much like your father. Adore quidditch and extremely brave especially with friends. I have a hunch i may make the wrong decision but.. GRYFFINDOR!" She squeled with excitement and hurried to sit with Thomas.

Sam watched as two of his new friends got sorted into Gryffindor. Please, oh please, Gryffindor. He stood rooted to the spot on the floor where he was standing. "Sam Fahy!" His name was called, and he made his way slowly to the stool and sorting hat. The hat was put on his head and fell down covering his eyes. "Ahh, a Fahy. I remember your parents. Very brave they were and I see the same in you, though you may not see it now. So...GRYFFINDOR!" Sam's heart skipped a beat as he jumped down from the stool and ran over to the Gryffindor table, flashing a smile at Lily.

Thomas smile grew wider as his friends got sorted into Gryffindor as well, he was completely happy, of course, there were still some others that needed to be called, but so far, he was enjoying this.

"Looks like you all wanted to be in Gryffindor, huh?" he said, looking at his friends, since they were all happy enough to join the almost full table.

Carly giggled."Thank Merlin were all together.."she said,turning to everyone.She was so excited about the new yer to start.She sighed,in happiness.She had to write to her parents to tell her of the news.They would be so happy for her.

Tamzin smiled at her brother and congratulated him a tad deflated. He would be wtih her 24/7. She wouldnt have a private life. But she weas happy they were all together.

Thomas couldn't help but smile, now they were all together, which meant he also knew who he was going to share his lessons with, despite what the other house will be. He only made another comment before the food appeared on the table, "Now we'll just have to wait and get our schedules for tomorrow" he said, hoping the classes wouldn't be so difficult.

"Yeah. But then we have the weekend free. So thats fine. No lessons for a weekend. To settle in." She smiled at Thomas and looked toward the food her stomach grumbling.
