Chase furrowed his eyebrows. He remembered his mom.. sitting on her bed. Crying. she had a box out. And THAT braclet was in the box. "Um... hold that thought.' he said and ran upstairs. He went to the first room on the leftand threw open the door. e rummaged through the book shelf, under the bed, everywhere. He stopped breathily heavily. Where was that box??

Liz watched Chase race off without giving her an answer. He couldn't just expect her to sit here and wait for him to think of an excuse. With no idea on what he was doing she put the photo down and followed Chase. "What are you doing?" She was still shaking, her wand in her hand just in case anything went wrong.

Chase looked up and saw Liz standing in the door way. He noticed she had her wand out and she was shaking. He furrowed his eyebrows. "Um... why do you have that out?" he asked confused.
Getting an idea he got up quickly and grabbed the railings of the bed pulling it over. Seeing a loose floorboard he lifted it up and saw the box. He smiled and grabbed it putting it on the bed. "Heres your answer... hopefully." he muttered the last part.

Liz looked at her wand at then at Chase. "I don't know... I just don't know anything, anymore. I've known nothing about my family all of my life, nothing at all. Other than someone along the line had bright ginger hair and green eyes. I know nothing. And then the village gets blown up, you come along plucking me off the streets, we escape death- once again, and then I see my bracelet in one of your family photos? Is there shame in having my wand out after all of that happening in less that 24 hours?" She was ranting yes, but sometimes you just needed to rant. Her feet brought her towards Chase as he said Heres your answer... hopefully. She waited for him to revile whatever he had to revile.

Chase nodded.'understood." he meerly said and looked back to the box. Opening the lid he revealed a pitucre of Liz, a braclet that matched the one Liz had on, other little pictures with a small girl and small Chase bustling around in them. A few notes stuffed inside. He took out the braclet. "This was mine." he said remembering it, vaguely.

He moved the pictures around and grabbed the letter on top. He opened it up and noticed the handwriting. The handwriting didnt seem familar. Then it hit him. "My moms handwriting! Its.." he pulled the peice of parchment out of his pocket. "its this handwriting!" he exclaimed then furrowed his eyebrows once more. Things were getting weird,

"What?!" This was suppose to explain everything? This just raised more questions. Why did Chase have a matching bracelet? Why was his mothers writing on the card left with her at the orphanage? Why was this box filled with pictures of Chase and the ginger girl. "That girl... is... it's me..." Her voice got much quieter. She didn't know what to say. She wanted to scream, and shout, and yell. What she wanted was to throw a tantrum like a four year old, but she wouldn't.

Samantha smiled at him and shook her head, "I wasn't going to leave you to die" she sighed and sat backwards when he walked in to the bathroom. Slowly and without realising fell asleep.

In her dream she saw it all again, her sister, random people, her friends and family felling to the ground with yelling all around her. She just kept seeing it all over untill she woke up sreaming and crying. ofr the first time in a while she felt alone.

Liz heard a scream- it pulled her out of her questioning thoughts. She looked at Chase and ran down the hall to another bedroom with Sam occupying it. "Samantha?" She asked walked in sitting next to her- eyes wide. Her head swung back and forth looking for someone. "Sam what happened?" She asked.

Sam looked up and shook her head "Nothing, it's nothing" she said quietly with tears staining her face. She pulled her legs up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them putting her face down in them. "I'm fine" she lied and it wasn't very convincing, she didn't want Liz feeling like it was her fault she was crying.

"I hope you know you're not convincing me other wise." Liz put her hand on Sam's back. She was happy that Chase was the only one who had noticed that they were all after here. Liz didn't have to worry about Sam's thoughts on that- or listen to her input about why they were after the orphan girl. "What happened?"

Sam looked up at Liz and shook her head, "I just keep seeing it" she said choking back the tears that wouldn't stop. "Hearing the screams, seeing the... the people falling when the spells hit" she felt the tears rolling down her checks again, "and feeling the spell that hit me" she knew that she wouldn't get out of there without a scratch on her but she wished things didn't get so bad.

Liz gave her a hug. "I wish I could tell you why this all happened, but I don't even know." That was the truth. She had no idea why this was all done, she wish she knew. Out in the open. If they wanted her why not just show up at the Orphanage? Something in her head screamed They knew you weren't there.

"Here." Liz said as she pulled out a tissue from her plaid pocket and handed it to Sam. "You're not alone in this."

Sam nodded at her and took the tissue, "thanks" she gave a weak smile and wiped her cheeks and eyes "I just wish I had helped my family instead of running off like a coward" that was the truth she had jsut left everyone, her sister couldn't defend herself and she didn't even grab her.

"It's human instinct to save yourself, don't feel bad." It was times like this she felt most horrible. She couldn't even think of what the feeling was like- to lose your family. She can't say. Oh it's I ran too. It isn't as though she had any family she could save. She hadn't ever really loved anything in her life. "There might be a chance they are still alive."

"Human instinct?" she said slowly, "I guess..." "There might be a chance they are still alive." she shook her head, "Maybe but I doubt it...I would have seen them when I saw you and Chase"

"Yah it does seem like we're the only ones left of that mess..." And now they were all in a house that held more facts to Liz's past then her head. It felt just so weird. Was it coincidence that Chase chose her over the 100's others. Was he out to get her? No he wasn't, she just knew. She could feel it. It felt wierd, but she trusted the feeling.

Sam nodded, "What I don't get is why tonight?" she thought for a second, "probably because we were all gathered to celebate something that happened a hundred years ago" she sighed, it made sense for them to come tonight when she thought about it.

"I know, of all nights. Tonight was suppose to be fun, joyous. It was my first time going to the festival. I probably won't ever be able to go back." Liz thought how it would be like to go back. How she would most likely have flashbacks on the spot as she stared at the twinlking lights and the parade. She shuddered at the images coming back into her head.

"It wasn't my first but I wish she had left a day earlier" she said quietly and looked at her, "tomorrow my faily were supposed to leave for Italy to see our family..." she sighed, she would have to tell her aunt and uncle her parents were dead "that's not going to happen now"

Chase looked as Liz followed the scream downstairs. He decided to stay up here and veiw through the box he had seen his mom crying over mulitple of times.

Sitting on the bed he looked down at the note that was in his hands. He looked it over and his mouth opened wide. He pulled another note out, and another, each one explained more and more. A smile grew. So Liz wasnt related to them.good.

He grabbed the letter and sprinted down the stairs. "Liz! Liz! Come here." he yelled but not looking where he was going in the early morning light tripped on one of the stair steps and went plunging down the stairs. He ended up tosseled on the floor and got up rubbing his head. His smile hadnt faded though and he walked over to Liz feeling a pain in his ankle but ignoring it.

He handed her the letter. Read this.

Liz looked at Samantha as Chase yelled for her. "Sorry one second." She said getting up to walk out of the room. As she walked out Chase tripped over his own feet and fell down the stairs. "Are you-" He seemed alright because of the rather large smile on his face. She helped Chase up and then took the letter.

Her eyes scanned over the piece of paper as Chase stood there like a boy in a candy shop. A large smile written across his face. Mulitple times Liz read it to understand in. Well not understand- but to let it process through her brain.

"So... I knew you before?" Is all she could think of to say.

Chase laughed was that all she could say?/ "Well duh! But now you know who you are! And now you know why they were after you!" he said excitedly. Was she not registering this?

His ankle gave another throb and he hobbled to the couch placing his ankle up. he noticed he had twisted it and it was already swelling. He ignored it. "Isnt this great?!" he asked Liz. While upstairs he had placed the necklace around his wrist. fit perfectly.

"I..." She didn't know what to say. In a million years she would have never thought she would be related to the Potters, ever. Thoughts raced inside her head as she sat down next to Chase on the couch. Her expression in her eyes was wide as she put her glove back on. Her head turned to look at chase put the necklace on his own wrist. "Great..." She said quietly to herself. Her mind couldn't think of anything to say. She wondered why Chase was getting such a great kick out of all this.

Chase's smiled faded slightly as he saw Liz wasnt excited... at all. "Wh--whats wrong?" he asked concerened
