"Chase are you..." He knew who he was looking at. Liz didn't know who he was looking at- other than it was someone close to him. She didn't know what to say. She didn't know if she should say something. So instead of opening her mouth she stood there let Chase mourn over... whoever that was.

Chase hadnt cried since .. well he couldnt remember the last time he had cried but he suddenly felt hot tears under his eyes. He couldnt stop them. they started falling and there was nothing he could do. He hid his face from Liz. They had to keep going. She could have been in danger.

He struggled to his feet. He felt like all was lost but he had one thing to do. Help Liz. He looked down at his brother taking the necklace from around his neck and placing it on his brothers chest. A mini memorial. He wiped his eyes and looked at Liz. It was time to start going again. "We need to get to your orphange." he said barely above a whisper.

Liz watched him out of the corner of her eye- trying to the stare. Staring was just rude. She knew he was crying, she imagined she would too if she was in his position. He got up, and started off again- worrying about her problems and not his own. She wondered why,

"We could just stay here for a little more..." Her eyes scanned over Chase's body. "If you want to. It's just... I'm not in any hurry."

Samantha could hear people talking behind her, about getting somewhere. I know one of those voices she thought and jumped off the rock. "Hello? Is anyone there?" she cried out and walked around the village with tear marks down her face.

Liz jumped at the sound of someone else voice. People are alive? She thought. The voice was not familiar to her whatsoever, nor could she figure out where it was coming from. Should she call out for it? Her hand grasped her wand.

"Hello?" She called out, armed.

Samantha turned around and looked for the voice, "who's there?" she yelled out and gripped her wand. She saw a girl and a boy standing there gripping their wands tightly, "Chase" she said quietly and looked at his brother and her eyes windened, Anna would be dead too. Tears slowly rolled down her checks but she wipped them away.

"Your all usless" shouted Cyril "I`ll go myself the rest of you stay here and think about who did it" and with that Cyril aparted back to the grounds. Hmm where to look. There a boy hiding behind a house. Cyril cast a dillusion charm on himself and stood behind the boy he would let the boy spy and then take him away.

Chase shook his head and looked at Liz. ACtually looking at her for once. HE gave a shake of his head and cleared his voice. "No we gotta go." he said and gave a nod.

Hearina another voice he saw someone he knew. He saw Samantha. He gave her a smile. Finally someone he knew. He threw his arms around her glad she was alive. "I didnt know you were alive. I thought everyone was dead." he said unwrapping his arms from her. "Sorry." he said sheepishl y and ran a hand through his hair. he usually wasnt like that,

Samantha smiled back at Chase weakly, "I thought everyone else was dead too" she looked at him and stumbled backwards a bit when he hugged her "I'm glad you're alive too" she hugged him back and pulled away at the same time, "It's ok" she said rubbing her right arm, a spell had hit her right there, thank god it was an unforgivable curse.

"I'm Samatha" she said to the girl next to Chase with the same weak smile she had given him, great day to meet someone new when people she loved laid dead so close to her.

Liz watched the two talk. They knew each other? Well that is a good thing she guessed. She smiled weakly at the girl who called herself Samantha. "Hi." She said weakly to her. "I'm Elizabeth."

Chase looked at Samantha. She looked utterly scared. He had totally forgotten they were standing out in the opened. He put a finger to his lip and looked at the both of them. grabbing Liz's hand he motioned for Samantha to grab Liz's. He led them toward Liz's orphange his wand clenched in his hand. He was going to protect them. ahe had to. athey were the only thing he had.

Samantha nodded at Chase and took Elizabeths other hand, she had no idea where Chase was leading her and she could her nosies everywhere, great now I'm parnoid she thought to herself and held her wand a lot tighter. I hate this! this is meant to be a happy day and now I'll remember it as the day my family died.

Liz held tightly onto Chases hand and they started to walk through the destroyed village. She felt Samantha grasp onto hers and looked behind her- as a reflex. Another weak smile came across her face and then looked ahead. Did Chase even know where he was going? And at what point did she say she was from an orphanage.

Paranoia started to get the best of her. How could she just be trusting a total stranger. Who supposedly saw them 'after her'. How could she not just think that's what they wanted her to think. Maybe he was just a distraction? Yet as these thoughts raced through her head she felt rather, safe. Even though she was surrounded by ruble and black magic- she felt rather protected by this boy.

Sam had a strange sense they were being followed and they definenitly were. There was a really loud noise and she turned around pointing her wand straight at the boy, "why are you following us?" she said calmly "and just who are you?"

As they walked a crash was heard behind them. All three of them spun around and Samantha let go of Elizabeth's hand. A reflex shot up Liz's spine and as one hand quickly whipped around her back to grab her wand- her other hand grabbed around Chase's waist. She watched Samantha talk calmly to the boy who was laying flat on the ground- he wand pointed at him.

"And what is going to make us believe you aren't on their side?" Liz said from Chase's side. "Following someone is something suspicious." Liz said this as she clung onto Chase and he wand pointed at the boy- shaking.

"Well I don't know." Liz managed to squeak out of her throat. Her hand still shaked- and her wand was still pointed at the boy. She was just paranoid. How could any of them not be. "W-What makes you thi-... what makes you t-t-think we're not the bad guys?"

"Calm down Liz" "how did you know I wasn't bad?" ok so maybe she knew Chase but she could have been a polyjuice clone or something, "his boy looks familiar and he looks about 16" she still had her wand pointed at Lance while she looked at him. "We've all lost our families and we're scared too" she said very quietly.

"Well..." In all reality she didn't know if anyone around her was safe to be around. With that thought stuck her- as though it was a reflex- she let go of Chase, but not her wand. "We really don't know if any of us is safe with the other." She said quietly to herself as her eyes pointed to the ground. Quiet enough for no one to hear her words. If anyone could possible hear them they would be Chase- and he would have ot have pretty good ears.

Why was everything so quiet? Was she lost? Sky walked down the long passageway between two houses, wand gripped in her hand. She'd lost contact with her master, Cyril when he'd apparated to somewhere. Although hardend from her difficult years, she was still frightened. Why had he just left them? Didn't he care what happened to them? She stumbled over a rock. Well at least he didn't beat her, which was better than her father ever did.

ah theres that girl walking alone he walked up invisible and whispered "Go home I`ll pretend to be you"
