Paul turned his head towards Leah slightly and closed his lids before opening them in an attempt to wink at her. He was so cocky, careless. He didn't mind, so long as he got his prize at the end of the day: a vampire that they had attacked and beaten.

Turning back to the shadows, he waited to see the leech.

"The dogs seem to be in trouble," Edward said. He was still listening, hearing some other voices he didn't recognize.

"Leah," Jacob thought. "Do you need my help?" He was just about a mile from her and could get to her in a flash. He heard Sam. "I'm coming too."

Listening to Sam, she tensed, noticing the awkwardness between them still. Would they ever get over it? Remembering that the others could hear her, she grimaced. These thoughts would have to wait until she phased back into her human form and into the privacy of her own mind.

Noticing the wink from Paul, a sound emitted from her that was to be taken as a laugh. They were such a young group with successful history of battles. It was no wonder they were cocky about it. Leah knew she was too at times. Believing she was invincible and able to take on anything.

Yes. She replied to him, her eyes searching the shadows for the vampire figure. There's two of them. The girl seems to be newly made. She said to Jacob, knowing this infomation would pass on to the others.

Bella inwardly cringed at Edward's use of the word "dogs", so diminuitive of them. She pursed her lips, but said nothing about it, instead tensing and leaning back into the settee, as still as a statue.
Paul fought to keep from laughing when he heard Leah's thoughts at the awkwardness between her and Sam. The rumbling from his chest ceased and he listened harder.

Neither are attacking yet, he thought, in an attempt to reassure Sam and Jacob, as well as the others.

Seth waited a second, his mind working furiously. 'Yeah, Alyssie, you come with me, although we'll take another direction. Paul's already made his way to Leah, and I think they can cope for now. They can always signal for more back-up.'

'More leeches?' Seth asked, surprised. In a place like forks, stray vampires usually preferred to travel alone than with others. 'Me and Alyssia are moving in to phase. Unless we're in our wolf forms, Leah, Paul and Jacob have no other way to contact us.'

'Alyssia and I'll take the west. Remember Quil, take someone else with you. We don't want to have to worry unnecessarily about each other too.'

With a final nod at the others, Seth signalled to Alyssia to follow him. Moving into the darkness of the nearby trees, Seth kicked his trainers off, removing his t-shirt and forming a dump, making sure it was accessible later on. He focused all his thoughts onto phasing, and leapt into the air, his eyes screwed shut with concentration. He landed on a dead log on all fours, before rolling, his shaggy blond fur ruffling in the slight breeze.

Immediately the scents of the woods and thoughts of the others wolves blared at him from all sides, colliding into him with brutal force.

Gritting his teeth against the onslaught of senses, he called out frantically, Leah! I'm here. Tell me when you need me! He paced back and forth, impatiently waiting for Alyssia to phase alongside him.

Daniel stopped dead in he's tracks, as he nose caught the scent of something. Breathing in deep, trying to figure out what he was smelling. Vampires and other wolves, he kept moving not wanting to be anywhere near others. He didn't do well with with an kind or people for that matter.

Quil's nose caught on another new smell, it smelt like a wolf. But it didn't have the smell like the others. He couldn't understand who a wolf could smell different, unless it was a different kind of werewolf.

"Yeah I think there are more leeches in Forks." Quil answered as he still sniffed the air, trying to understand what he was smelling. Whatever was going on didn't seem like a good thing and he wanted to know why more leeches were coming here.

"Dude I'll be fine don't worry." Quil said simply as he stood from the seat. He wanted to know what was going on, since something was happening and danger seemed closer. With in minuets a in his black wolf form as he head towards the north.

Seth's head snapped up, his ears cocked up warily. He sniffed the air tentatively, not sure if he'd picked up on the scent correctly.

Quil! Do you smell it? It's not another vampire. It's a new smell. He continued to prowl the outskirts of the woods, sniffing the air, trying in vain to recognise the new scent. Have you seen anything yet? Seth asked, directing his thoughts to Quil. I'm keeping to the outskirts of the woods, in case one of them tries to evade us.

Leah smiled inwardly to herself. I will Seth. I will. She said to him. Who are you with right now? She asked, hoping he wasn't alone.

Hearing a familiar bark, Leah didn't turn her head. She knew it was Sam who had joined them. Instead, she continued to watch the intruder. Than Sam's thoughts inturrupted her conversation. Yes. I'm perfectly capable of handling this. She snapped back to him. She had heard the concern in his thoughts and didn't want it. No one needed to know she barely ate nowadays, only enough so she didn't starve herself. None of her pack needed to know she barely slept now too, instead she had taken to wandering the forest at night and thinking to herself in her wolf form while everyone was asleep and human.

The male left. She reported back to her pack. I wonder why? Scared of us? She asked herself mostly. The female is still here though. She thought to them.

'Seth, dude I know it's smells like another werewolf. But it smells different from us.' He thought as he moved closer to the north, his nose was getting confused with all the smells. 'Just stay calm and don't do anything crazy, okay man.' he thought again, since he didn't want anything stupid and rushed to happen.

Question would human smell differently from wizards and other magical things.

I'm still waiting for Alyssia to phase. Don't worry about me. I'm sticking to the outskirts, watching out for any others trying to enter the woods, as well as any trying to evade us wolves. Seth replied, directing his thoughts to Leah. We've caught a new scent though. A new wolf's apparently. He's not one of us though.

Another werewolf? You're friggin' kidding! Laughing ruefully, Seth called back, I'm calm, I'm calm. He paused to sniff again, his legs hunched, tension lining every muscle along his body. It's Leah, I'm worried about. He muttered to himself, forgetting the others could hear him.

Yes they would.

When Novak found the coven's home, he found it surprising. A permanent home... He slowly knocked on their home and thought about what to say.

Carlisle nodded at what Alice had said. "Keep calm, I'm sure we'll be able to hand this in a non-violent way." he said to them. He suddenly heard a rap on the door. "Who's that?" he asked to Edward, everyone really.

Quil shook his head 'I trust my nose and I know what I'm smelling, okay.' he thought slightly mad. 'Seth I'm sure she fine.' he thought calmly 'She a big girl and I sure she can take care of herself.'

Thanks that question was bothering me.

Sensing the anger lacing Quil's tone, Seth replied, Mate, I'm not doubting you. I'm just thinking it's rather ironic that everything's being launched at us all at once. First the Cullen clan, then new vampires and now foreign werewolves. It just doesn't add up. Unless...it was all planned. Seth stopped pacing, working on his thoughts. That must be it, these strange occurings couldn't be happening randomly, there had to be something at the centre which was drawing these strings of events.

What? Leah asked shocked at the news. Another werewolf? One that wasn't already part of their pack? This was shocking beyond reason. What was going on? New vampires AND new wolves? Growling at the vampire in front of her, she turned her mind to Sam and Jacob.

Do you guys know anything about a new werewolf? She asked them, trying to keep her concentration on her prey and talk to them.

We're not managing to get any closer to him though. There's too many scents about. We're trying to trap him, and find out what he's doing here. Perhaps see who's side he's on. All this doesn't sound too random though. I think all this is related somehow. It's too coincidential. Seth resumed his frantic pacing. I'm trying to find some way to let the others know. A foreign werewolf could be more dangerous than new vampires.

Angie ignored the cool kindness of the vampire, watching after him long after he disappeared, somewhat wistful for not coming along. What was it with her and safe havens? A light whistling noise escaped her full lips and she nodded her head to the sound of her own eerie tune. The wolves were nearer. She could smell them. "They smell horrid, and too lazy to make a move," she whispered to herself, glaring into the bushes, right into Sam's yellow eyes which stared back with vehemence. Angie took a rueful sidestep, twisting around to the other side of the tree trunk, completely heedless of the danger in the wolves.
"Are you going to do something other than just harrass me with the stink. Honestly, get some deodorant," she barked toward the shadow. Sam's body twitched and his body rumbled with a long-drawn growl.
Angie smile eerily and ran her spindly fingers across the bark. "Here doggie, doggie, doggie!" she beckoned, almost as if she had a death wish. "They'll come, here they come," she chattered ardently in her own ear.
She didn't seem chivalrous male, did she? No.

Sam watched the predator, ignoring Leah's protestations. Strike at my signal, he instructed coldly, feeling the mounting pressure of the adversary. She smiled, she talked to herself, she was bloody insane. Everyone could hear these thoughts and he pawed the ground like a raging bull. Attack! Attack! But something held him back. What else could she do?
Not much, except make cheap insults that only annoyed him more.At her beckonings, Sam couldn't take it. Parting his snout, he howled a battle cry and sprinted at the cackling vampire. A crashing of limbs and flashes of blonde hair happened suddenly, then a prolonged whining as Sam's skull banged into the tree trunk where the vampire stood. In a matter of moments, he slipped down the tree, whining pitifully, a crimson substance leaking just behind his ears.

He was falling for it. Yes! He was coming at her. Angie's face grew into a grin. "Come here, eat me," she taunted, placing her hands on each hip and parting her legs into a fighting stance. "I won't try to hard," she nodded, lulling him into a false sense of security. Sam fell for it and the moment he flew at her was the moment she flew from the tree at top speed, crossing back over the mutual border and watching the ongoings primly.
The poor wolf slumped against a tree. Angie bit her knuckle and cocked her head. "My bad!" her voice echoed, as well as a satisfied giggle.
She disappeared with a flourish.

Rolice was dropped off at the nearest wood reservation and there she transformed and ran at top speed towards Forks.
