Something under Draco's pillow vibrated roughly, and he jerked up, trying to find the source of discomfort. His hand finding a long object drew it back, and Draco looked at it in confusion, finally dawning on him that it was his wand. Darn it, his mother must have cast another alarm spell on it. Now he was going to have to wake up to a horrible vibrating pillow for the rest of the school year. Cheers, Mum.

Glad to see it was still dark outside, Draco moved silently to the bathroom. Atleast he'd have plenty of time to get ready. Washing his face with an expensive facewash and taking a drawn out shower, he went quickly back to his dorm, reaching for his uniform, already ironed from home. Taking care not to form a single crease, he stepped into his shining black shoes, taking extra care to knot his tie perfectly in co-ordination with the collar.

Satisfied, he flicked his wand, charming his hair dry. Another flick, and his hair was smooth, falling to his shoulder in gleaming blond locks.

Glancing at his mirror for several more moments, Draco finally tore himself away from his image. Grabbing his leather rucksack, he swaggered into the Slytherin common room, his signature smirk already in place.

Seth groaned, annoyed, as sunlight streamed in through his window. Wrenching his cover higher up to cover his face, he nearly screamed in frustration. The quilt, just like the rest of the bed was warm, too warm. With his own body temperature so high, he really didn't need any other form of heat.

Throwing the covers down, he loped out of bed, glancing around blearily. Picking up the glass of water from the nighstand next to his bed, he contemplated it, before jerking it backwards and allowing the cool water to hit his face. Wiping off the excess water, Seth prowled towards his trunk, pulling on his uniform roughly, looking at the unnecessary layers of clothing in disbelief, nearly ripping his robes in the process. Knotting his green and silver tie loosely around his neck, he picked up his bag in one fluid motion, slinging it across his body, the main bulk resting against his hip.

Realising he hadn't bothered bringing along any proper black shoes, he shoved on some black trainers, hoping none of the teachers would notice the scuffy footwear. Without glancing at the mirror, he ruffled his shaggy blond hair, messing it up further before padding out of his dormitory.

And, for the rest that didn't fit into those catorgories you were Hufflepuff. How ridiculous!
Jasper thought himself as brave, clever and cunning. What house would they put him in then? Slytherin. Unfortunatley. With all the mortals who looked as if they had gotten away with murder, or beating up a little kid.

The good news was that he was with his sister, Rosalie. He was so grateful that he wasn't in Slytheirn on his own. That would be saying something. He sat with his legs crossed on his bed and watched the other Slytherin boys sleep, he couldn't sleep. He missed it very much.
He decided instead, to go down to the common room. Surely, no one would be there at this time in the morning. He walked down the steps to see Rosalie worrying over some homework.
"Not as easy as Forks high is it?" He said quietly to her, not to wake the other students. Jasper was also struggling on his homework. They had never done this type of work before. Magic and wizards was a whole new thing for them. He sat down opposite her and watched her fiddle around with parchments and a big fat transfiguration text book.
Hearing her brother walk down the stairs from the Slytherin boy dormitory, she let a small smile creep on her face, despite her frustration with her homework. "Hey." She said softly, knowing he would be able to her her. Closing the last of her books shut, she leaned back into her armchair and looked at her brother.

Rosalie was very glad that Jasper had been placed in the same house as her. The blonde vampire didn't know if she could deal with all the new changes in her life without someone that was close to her. Listening to his question, she smiled. "Definitely not." She replied, eyes roving around the green and sliver common room.

On her lap was the transfiguration homework that she was trying to complete. She had already foreseen that she wasnt going to do greatly at it and was trying to at least get a good grade. The vampiress looked up as she heard a door open and close. She watched as Hermione Granger appeared. That was a girl in her class so she remembered. Alice watched with interest as she girl went and sat down.
Shivering slightly, Hermione had the sense that someone was watching her keenly. Trying to be subtle, she glanced up from her book, brown eyes sweeping over the common room that was getting fuller each minute. There. By the window was one of the new transfers. What was her name? Alice Cullen. The dark hair girl was now joined by her older brother, Edward.

Hermione studied them curiously. She didn't know too much about them, just that Remus Lupin had recruited them so they could fight alongside the Order when the time came. Realizing it was her staring now, she quickly looked away.

A strong smell hit her and Rosalie wrinkled her nose slightly. She knew what it was. It was the smell of a werewolf in the room. Turning her head slightly, she saw Leah Clearwater sitting in a nearby armchair. Sure, they had learned to live with each other under such close quarters but that didn't mean they were civil to each other at all. Rosalie nodded slightly in a sign of acknowledgment but made no other move to show that they were friends.

She wasn't used to being last in the class and it frustrated her when she couldn't do basic things that one of the younger kids could do.

Edward smiled. He loved hearing people bet against Alice, especially when they didn't know what they were going up against. But Bella knew well, and she shouldn't do anything that might cause her to loose something dearly. "Just do your best," he said to Bella. "You'll do fine, trust me."

Strolling into the Slytherin common room, Seth glanced around, unfazed. Even if he didn't know anyone here, he'd still be fine. His gaze fell on his sister sitting alone, and he grinned. It did always help of course, knowing someone in your own house.

Moving towards her, he sat opposite her. Seeing everyone working on various assignments, he groaned aloud. Did none of these people have any lives?
There was more to it than homework, surely? Groaning, Seth passed a hand lightly over his face, intent that nothing should ruin his day, today.

Alice smiled, noticing the common room getting fuller. She thought now might be a good time to go down for breakfast. Not that she was going to eat anything. "I think I'm going down for breakfast" She informed Bella and Edward. As she was leaving she smiled pleasently at Hermione. A few minutes later she was walking down the side of the gryffindor table in the great hall. She sat down on her own, knowing that she would be moving as soon as Jasper showed up.

Jasper nodded in agreement. He had noticed that thwe looked really thick compared to the first years. Jasper had always been very clever, since all the work he had done at school was the same every time they changed schools.

"Just a while ago, a small child had laughed at me because I was holding my wand the wrong way around. To me, it's just a twig." He chuckled. The wizarding worl seemed to have spells for everything. Cleaning up, disappearing, reappearing, make someone love you, making someone become ill, making someone feel better. It was oh so confusing.
"I know it's difficult, but we just have to blend in." Jasper reassured her.

"Good Luck," Edward said to her, nodding to Hermione, who he noticed was staring. He waited on Bella's reply.

Embry yawned. He shoved his things in his bag, running downstairs and on the steps, where the Slytherin Common Room was. He was basically the only one of his buddies that wasn't in Slytherin, and it sucked. He waited patiently on his pack, wondering what they were doing.

Now the smell of werewolves had gotten stronger. Rosalie sighed loudly. How many werewolves were placed in the same house as them anyways? Eyes flashing over to the corner of where Leah sat comfortably, she saw one of the younger wolves joining her. What was his name? Rosalie racked her brain. Quil? No, Seth. That was him. The younger brother of Leah. Shaking her head, she attempted to ignore them.

She said, grinning widely. People seemed to be intimidated by her. Well, it didn't help that people called her the Slytherin ice princess. Her beautiful looks and snobby demeanour didn't help. "Blend in." She repeated to herself. "Blend in...we'll be able to do it." She said, trying to cheer up.

Seeing Alice smile at her, she smiled back. Maybe making some girl friends would be nice. It'll be a change from Ron and Harry. She said to herself. Taking a glance at the closed boys dormitory door, she sighed loudly. It seemed like those boys would never wake up. 5 more minutes. She said to herself, Or they can walk to the Great Hall by themselves.

Smoothing her parchment, she groaned as she smudged a ink spot. Stupid ink that doesn't dry fast enough. She complained as she took her wand out to fix it. Serena Roberts had woken up two hours ahead of her normal time to work on her essay and now she was finished. Scanning it over quickly for any glaring errors, she stuffed it into her bag. Running her hand through her blonde hair, she hurried off to the bathroom. Dark circles remained under her eyes even as she tried to hide them with makeup.

Biting her lip, she hurriedly changed and quickly walked out of the girls dormitory. She wanted a chance to read over her best friend's, Draco Malfoy's, essay to see if their theories were the same. Almost tripping as she went down the stairs, she looked around the common room to find him not there. Instead she spotted four of the new transfers. Not knowing any of them, she chose an abandoned armchair, close to Leah Clearwater and her younger brother Seth, to wait for Draco.

Leah made no move to nod at the vampires she could see; instead, she satisfied herself with trying her best not to inhale their scent. It was almost impossible, but after a few moments she began breathing normally and ignoring the burning feeling at the back of her throat.

She looked up as Seth came in and sighed. 'Hi,' she greeted him, slipping the book back into the bag she had at the bottom of the chair.

You always have to trust her, Bella, she thought, mentally kicking herself at such a stupid phrase coming out of her mouth. She knows what's going to happen. If she says you'll do fine, you'll do fine.

'Anyway, when did you finish yours?' she asked Edward, slipping the parchment back into her bag.

"At three o'clock last night," Edward replied. He looked at his bag, new and unused, and looked at Bella. "I had some extra time on my hands," he said. He smelt the werewolves, scattered about in the school. He had just eaten, and he decided that he'd be fine until next week. "Did you have a nice night?" he asked.

'I can imagine,' Bella laughed. 'And my night was . . .' She hesitated, unsure as to how it was. It hadn't been like it normally was, without Edward, but it hadn't been terrible, either.

'Okay. Different because you weren't there, but okay.' She nodded and reached over to take his hand. 'I didn't realise how much I'd grown used to you being with me at night time.'

Edward smiled lightly, looking at her hand. He stroked it with his thumb. "I missed you last night," he sighed. "Time seemed to be...slow," he said. "Too slow," he added, looking at her. "Maybe we can find away to be together," he said.

"He only laughed. It didn't bother me." Jasper smiled. It was only an eleven year old, not that intimidating. He knew that no student would try and hurt him physically or mentally. Possibly they would be quite intimidated by how he, Rosalie and the rest of his brothers and sisters looked, but mainly because they were and seemed much more clever than litle mortals like the leven year old. Sometimes, Jasper liked the idea of just being able to win in a fight after a millisecond had gone. He knew that it would be harder with these type of mortals. magic ones.

The strong smell of a human filled the room and Jasper knew exactly were the smell was coming from. A girl had walked into the room and taken a seat near them. Thankfully, near the wolves. The smell of wolves and blood mixed together. It was disgusting and delicious at the same time.
