Within moments she was sorted, she walked over to the table to find a seat. When she saw one across from Ian, she grinned happily and took the seat. "Hello again" she smirked a Slytherin smirk and sighed., "Now we get along much better"

"A bloody goody to shoes?" she asked and she shudder. "They also smell, Slytherin and clever and sly" she grinned and she looked at the color of his eyes. "I like your eyes, pericing color"

Jared looked toward Ian, "So he finally had the decency to arrive at the table" he thought, shaking his head, he saw him talking to another girl, and wondered who she was, it was clearly obvious she was new. He turned and continue to look at the Ravenclaw table, she was in Slytherin, they'll see again eventually.

Everything seemed normal at the Ravenclaw table, he decided to walk over where Ian and the girl were, he'll move someone from their as the ones around them were second and third years.

He stood and walked silently in their directions, only a few steps, "Hello, I'm Jared Molken, friends of Ian" he bowed out of courtesy, "Welcome to Slytherin" he said, smiling.

Harry was very content, watching the first years' reactions as they were Sorted into their Houses. He turned at Keira's comment and, intrigued, asked, "Really? How d'you mean odd?"

Gaer couldn't help but chuckle under his breath and nod. "Like a true Gryffindor," he agreed, raising a goblet of pumpkin juice that had magically filled itself as the Sorting finally ended and the feast began. "That I did," he said with a grin. "And it has been arguably good time since then," he finished, taking a sip of his juice.

"Of course, we've gotten into out fair share of trouble," he grinned and passed Emma the mashed potatoes before she asked for them.

Gaer couldn't helpd but laugh out loud. "You're right," he said. "But you know that you like getting into trouble just as much as I do. Though... I suppose you'd probably like it better if it wasn't so time-consuming," he added thougtfully.

Gaer waggled his eyebrows at her mischeivously to give himself time to swallow the bit of sausage he had just put in his mouth. "I'm just psychic," he said with a grin. Knowing that mind-readers were one thing that truly terrified Emma, however, he quickly dropped the joke before it was pushed too far and said, "Who knows you better than me, huh?"

He also poured her another goblet full of pumpkin juice and pushed a plate of dinner rolls a bit closer.

Gaer just smiled ruefully at her comment about his troublemaking. He shrugged helplessly and said, "Maybe my new, responsible position as Prefect will keep me out of trouble this year." He was only partly joking when he said this, though he knew he would have to tone it down this year. The fact that he had made Prefect was the only reason his mother was even considering letting him play Quidditch even again.

"I know it wasn't funny," Gaer said amicably. "That's why I didn't elaborate. I'm sorry," he said with a soft smile. He patted her on the shoulder and winked, deciding to not comment when she said she loved him. He knew that, of course, but the conversation to point had been slightly awkward, so I said nothing.

Gaer almost didn't hear Emma's question about the password. He was too busy looking at a terrified first year who had just been Sorted into Gryffindor and accidentally walked toward the Slytherins. "'Scuse me," he said to Emma dismissively as he jumped up from his seat and jogged over to the girl.

He said something inaudibly to her and led her by the hand to the correct table where he set her with a few students her age at the Gryffindor table. He bent down and said something in her ear that made her beam at him and he returned to where Emma was sitting with an exasperated smile on his face. "The second they tell me the password, you'll have it," he said, finishing their interrupted conversation.

Gaer blushed a deep scarlet at the compliment from Emma and mumbled under his breath something about 'just doing my job' and 'never seen anyone quite to terrified in my life'. He cleared his throat and said, "Oh, I told her the story about when you fell off the stool on your first day."

He only wanted to see the look on her face as he said this, but he quickly shook his head and said, "No... I, uh... told her about my first day. Remember? When I..." he paused, blushing deeper and clearing his throat before continuing. "When I threw up on the Charms professor?" He laughed and remembered, "I was so nervouse because no one in my family hadn't been in Gryffindor."

Valentine exhaled loudly, "I'm sorry, I really am, it's just..." She paused and looked over towards the Slytherin table. "When I went to get some air, it was because some really weird stuff was going on. Like, you know my drawing? Well it turned out to be Ian." She nodded towards the dirty blond haired boy. "And then the book I was reading was by a man called Ian Page. But it wasn't just that. Usually that wouldn't have bothered me." She looked down, almost glad that she was getting stuff out of her head.
"I'm just scared." She finally admitted, "I don't know what of, but it seems to be everything's getting on my nerves."
She sighed, and looked down in defeat. She told allot, but probably not enough

Gaer grinned at her and said, "Memorable, yes. More so than yours, perhaps," he continued. "I still don't know why you let me give you a hard time about your first day when mine certainly took a little more effort to clean up."

A nerve shot from his cheek to the back of his neck and down his back when she touched him. He fought back the blush that reached his ears and said, "Well, I remember looking just as scared."

As the dishes all changed from dinner to dessert, Gaer grabbed the only plate of Emma's favorite on a reflex and pased the platter over to her
