"I had a theory," She admitted, "that she'd be really harsh and wouldn't talk to anyone outside of Slytherin, but when I met her, she asked my for directions to the common room, and so I led her as far as I could go without being picked up by prefects."
Valentine raised her eyes to meet his, "To tell the truth, when you talk to her, it's like she lulls you into a false sense of security, and then you don't know how to get out of it."
She sighed, and dropped her eyes again.

Emma let Gaer guide her, "Sure" she said, in a whisper, they shouldn’t be heard. She was a bit paranoid and looked over her shoulders every once in a while, "You like leading, don't you Nate?" she said, just like a comment, not asking.

She held his hand firmly, as if letting it go will make her lost, something that could rarely happen. She liked sneaking out, but she never did anything like this on the first day of school, she shook her head, making the thought disappear.

"Well, that was very sweet of you, leading her" he chuckled, but his face remained serious, "Why did you think she'll be that way? Because of how she made you feel earlier?" he asked, completely interested on what Valentine had to say.

Jared watched as she raised her head, from what he saw, she was really worried about this, he listened and she looked down again, "No...don't.." he exclaimed, he cleared his throat again, "I mean, what makes you think it is a false sense of security? Do you think she knows she does that?" he asked, he wasn't pushing Valentine, but he knew that it was better to get some things out in the open.

"Thanks." She replied sarkily to his comment on her being 'sweet'. "Yes, it was because of how she made me feel when I got off of the train, and when I saw her talking to Ian, do you think you could ask him what he thinks of her?"

Valentine was just about to answer his other question when he'd said, 'No... don't' She eyed him carefully,
"Don't what?" She asked, now raising her eyes to meet his in a steady gaze.

Gaer was having the time of his life, the adrenaline of doing something he knew he shouldn't rushing through his blood and igniting fires behind his brilliant eyes. He looked back at Emma at her question, his grin answer enough, and he squeezed her hand gently, waggling his eyebrows a bit. "Come on," he whispered lowly as they reached the third floor by the hidden spiral staircase. He listened at the tapestry for a moment before exiting the hidden passage. They would have to take the main stairs from here, or else fly out the window, which he doubted would be very smart with only one broom.

Suddenly, he yanked her arm and ducked behind a suit of armor as a figure in billowy robes walked round the corner from them. "Sorry," he whispered. "You all right?" he asked, rubbing the shoulder he had yanked on to help her regain some feeling in it.

He nodded when Valentine replied to his question, "Ian? What he thinks of her? Why?" he asked, that sudden change made him a little confused, "Oh, you mean, to find out if he felt the same way?" he asked her, for a second he thought that what she meant was probably to keep Ian away from the girl, away from trouble, but why would Valentine care about that.

Jared looked back at her, he chuckled, "Don't look down, I get somewhat restless if I can't see your eyes" he said, it was the truth, why lie to her, he felt much better when he could see into the eyes of the person he was talking to.

Emma followed him blindly, she trusted him, she paused as he was making sure there was no one outside. As they came out of the hidden passage, she felt him pulled her quickly, and restrained from saying something out loud by covering her mouth with her empty hand, she was sure he'll give her a heart attack one of these days.

She nodded as he apologized, "Yes, I'm fine" she said, it was even softer than a whisper as she breathed in and out, "You know, hurting me won't make me stop playing Quidditch" she continued, narrowing her eyes at him, she felt a bit odd about saying the last part, because Gaer was making sure they were alright, "Thanks for taking care of me, Nate" she whispered and smiled.

"Sorry," Gaer gushed again, still trying to massage some feeling back into Emma's arm, though he was finding it a little bit difficult to keep a straight face. It was obvious that he was enjoying himself.

He tapped her forehead with his briefly and said, "I'll always take care of you, Em. Someone's got to," he said with a wink as he peering around the armor to check the coast we clear. "Come on, come on," he whispered, pulling her more gently by the arm he had not yet injured. Sticking to shadows and corners, he led her safely to the bottom floor and out onto the grounds, slowing up a bit as they escaped the light cast for Hogwarts' torches.

Emma was more than glad it was dark, so he couldn't see how much red her face was, "Someone's got to" she thought, what did he mean by that, she could easily take care of herself, but decided not to comment.

She couldn't help but smile when he winked, and followed Gaer again in their way out of the castle, they were very lucky not to run into someone so far, she was almost behind him the whole time, still holding his hand, once he slowed down she came to his side, "It won't take long to get my broom, you can run to the field if you want to" she said, the way to the Pitch was usually safe, she didn't want to slow him down.

When Gaer finally felt it was safe to slow to a walk, he did so, allowing Emma to catch her breath a bit and not complaining at getting a few breaths in, himself. Chuckling madly in his raspy, tired voice, every tooth glearming in the crisp night, he shook his head and waved his free hand at her. "No, it's fine," he said, gasping slightly with giddiness. "Let's go it," he said, heading toward the locker room with her.

He steered off course of the Putch and headed toward the small building off to the right of the castle where they kept all the Quidditch gear and where the teams all met. He opened the door and followed her inside, sitting himself on a bench while he waited for her to get her broom.

Once inside the Locker Room, Emma went straight where she kept her stuff, and got her broom out, she saw Gaer sitting in a bench and said, "That's why you came, you wanted to rest!" teasing him, she closed the locker and looked at some equipment, "Why don't we take a quaffle? No one will hear us, we'll be far away from the castle" she said, waiting to hear his answer.

Gaer laughed again and said, still a little out of breath, "What d'you expect? Playing Quidditch doesn't much require you to run." He stuck his tongue out at her as she went rummaging through some equipment When she picked up the Quaffle, he stood up and took it, looking at it with a gleam in his eye, as though looking at an old friend. "I think that Quaffle would be a nice addition to our night," he said, his voice low as he tucked the red ball under his arm. "Been a while since I've seen a proper one," he said, "let alone passed one to a proper player like yourself. You set?" he asked.

Her eyes narrowed a bit when he stuck his tongue out at her, she laughed silently, he took the quaffle away from her, and her eyes followed it until it was out of her sight, "Yeah, I'm done, let's go" she said, exiting the Locker Room and moving towards the field.

The night couldn't possible be better, with the sky just as clear it was almost as if they were meant to play at this moment, it was a great view overall.

Gaer took a deep breath once he was outside, even though he had only been inside for a few seconds. The smell of the magically-cut grass filled his nostrils as he closed his eyes, and the clear air was the perfect temperature. "It's as if the stars want us to break the rules and go flying tonight," he said, echoing Emma's thoughts. He turned to look at her, elated, and said, "And who are we to deny the stars?"

He laughed as loudly as he thought he could without being her and jumped onto his broom, tossing the Quaffle to Emma as he took a few moments to backflip and loop-de-loop to his heart's content. After a moment, he stopped, hovering above the round, waiting for her.

Emma only smiled back at Gaer's comment, it was the perfect night, she couldn't agree with him more.

Thank goodness for her reflexes, she grabbed the quaffle and flew just as high as she could, staring down at Hogwarts, then went back to where he was and passed the quaffle to him, "You know what, I think I prefer to be a beater" she smiled and laughed, maintaining the grip on her broom.

Gaer caught the Quaffle with his eyes closed, feeling the air move and whistle around the small crack that he'd made in it two years prior. He smiled at the feel of it in his hands and tossed it into the air, catching it in one hand, then the other. "Apparently you don't prefer either," Gaer said teasingly, smiling to show her that there were no hard feelings with her leaving the team. He tossed the Quaffle back to her and floated slowly higher.

Emma was going to say something to him about not sharing the quaffle, and then he spoke, she knew he was only teasing but still replied, "Really? I think we've been through that subject before" she chuckled and catch the quaffle.

They continued that way for about half an hour, like two muggles playing with a baseball, the thought of it made Emma laugh, then another half an hour came by when they were practicing in the goals, she was holding the quaffle, slowed down and passed it over to Gaer, "Keep it", she said, as she gained height and glanced over at Hogwarts and Hogsmeade on the other side.

Gaer hadn't felt so good in months as he did in those moments, playing Quidditch with Emma. Before he knew it, an hour had gone by and Emma was tossing him the Quaffle once last time and flying upward. Instead of 'keeping it,' he flew close to the ground, dropped it gently to the grass and flew up to join Emma in sharing the view.

"Can't wait 'til we're done," he said suddenly. "Done with this," he gesture to the school. "Can't wait 'til a piece of that is ours." He waved in the direction of Hogsmeade, indicating something bigger. Gaer wasn't often nostalgic, but he really did look forward to having something that was his.

Emma was glad he'd join, "I'm not sure, though" she said, looking back at Hogwarts, everything that happened the last years came rushing through her mind, it was hard to let it go, especially after having so many amazing times, good ones and bad equally.

"You can have the whole world any day, Nate" she said, smiling, and looked at him, he had it all planned out, or at least knew that he wanted to play Quidditch when they leave the school, Emma wasn't exactly sure, that was the bad part of being interested in many things.

Syark sighed as she soon walked outside, glaring at a few people whom were also outside with her. She pursed her lips, before turning her head toward the Quidditch Field. Syark smirked as she flicked her wand and her brand new broom appeared in her hand. She gripped it tightly, before making her way toward the field.

Emma suddenly gasped, as she saw someone coming closer to where they stood, her mind was racing, and she already thought of an excuse, only if Gaer wouldn't have dropped the quaffle into the ground, she shook her head.

Watching as the girl move closer, Emma stared to feel as if the good times weren't going to last as much as she thought, all she could come out with was, "Er...Hi!" and waved at the girl, her eyes flickered between Gaer and the girl.

"Hey, you dropped something" she said as she grabbed it, got out her broom and flew up to them and she smirked. "Here..." she grinned again as she looked at her and Gaer. "May I join...or could I watch, I'm rather bored" she flashed them a smile. "Your Emma...right, he's Gaer?" she guessed, hoping to be right.

"Actually, we've just stopped" glancing towards Gaer and taking the quaffle from the girl, Emma smiled at her, she didn't seem to notice she knew their names, her eyes widened as she realized that, "Wait, how do you know our names?" she could've gone in a different direction, but decided to ask her directly, she was feeling a little confused and intrigued at the same time.

Emma didn't consider the option that the girl knew them from before, because she'd never seen her, and forgetting a face didn't match with Emma at all, especially when she paid attention to the Sorting ceremony.

David Stone was walking to the corridor towards the common room. Next to Cameron, he was the oldest of the Stone's brothers.
David walked in the ravenclaw common room and saw Andrea.
"My little sister." he winked at her. "How is it going?"
Andrea shruggled her shoulders.
"The same."

David sat in the couch next to her:
"I was thinking... Do you still want to join the team?" at her affirmative answer, he continued: "I'll speak with the captain. he will want to see you play. How about a late practise, now?" the seventeen year old boy suggested.Andrea agreed and hey left to the quidditch fields.

Gaer hovered closer to Emma's side, perhaps a bit protectively, as he saw the figure moving closer to them and his brain worked furiously to produce some sort of valid reason for their presence on the Pitc at such a late hour. His eyes flickered between Emma and the new girl and he relaxed a bit when it seemed as though she meant them no trouble.

Gaer made a face when the girl called him by his first name and said, "Nathan, really. No one calls me Gaer except my mum." He rolled his eyes and muttered something about his grandfather's name or some such rubbish and inched even a little closer to Emma, still wary of this girl that he never remembered seeing during the Sorting.
