It's the year 2000 and Hogwarts students are looking forward to returning another year now more than ever. Isabella Hamilton is 17, returning to Hogwarts for her last year. But there are many differences between she and her graduating classmates - differences that would make their skin crawl if they were known....
Isabella began her Hogwarts education in 1611 before she was made a creature of the dark - a vampire - the summer before her final year. Living in the shadows since then, she has finally emerged, bidding her time, testing her patience, her resistance, her self-control when the thirst consumed her. And now, she is ready to finish her schooling as normally as possible.... or so she thinks.
What will truly happen this year?

Alright, guys, so that's the basic set-up. What she and the rest of the Hogwarts inhabitants don't know is that scores of witches and wizards have gone through just what Isabella had and have come to the same decision as she.
There are some things that differ these vampires from others of their kind, though:
1) They must have a ring with a lapis lazuli stone on one of their fingers in order to be in the sunlight or they turn to dust. 2) They have Powers (ie. extra sensitive night vision, speed, agility, telepathy, etc.). 3) These Powers are not always present. They are weaker when the vampire is thirsty. 4) Human blood is not necessary for survival, but it does strengthen the Powers. 5) Exchange of blood (human1-vampire2 + vampire2-human1) is necessary for transformation, but does NOT guarantee transformation. The human in question must be killed while the vampire's blood is still in their system.

She's quiet and tends to remain in the back of crowds. This suits her fine, not that everyone knows why. She has her own group of friends and participates fully in conversations with them- but to everyone else she seems completely aloof. She has a temper although it is very rarely seen- not unless you really cross her.
History:
Turned a vampire ages ago, Aurelia has spent the centuries looking for knowledge and learning all that she could. She has one regret- the fact that she could never have a family. So, instead, she has taken silent care of her relatives throughout the centuries. Some have fallen through the cracks or left her range- but she still manages to check on them on occasion. So, between research and her guardianship, her magical skills were put to the side. She returned to Hogwarts with one of her more direct descendants in order to relearn, and learn more. However, she hasn't had a completely innocent past. She had her moments of violence, and did some pirating and thieving back in the day. She also has a few enemies- including those of vampire kind. It gets dangerous when she meets them...

Open and friendly to everyone, Carter is quite a social person. He thrives in groups of people and will take the center of attention naturally- although he doesn't always want it. He makes a good friend, and is always willing to pass advice on to others. He does have a fear of heights, due to an accident when he was younger, so flying is also out of the question. He does enjoy watching Quidditch- just as long as he's on the ground.
History:
From a medium sized family, Carter is the second youngest child of four. His family is close, although his mother works over seas for half of the year. The Richmons have a legend in their family, that there is a protector watching over them. A few even have stories of being rescued by a blonde angel, or having a voice whispering advice to them in the dark. Carter was even rescued once by the mysterious angel when he was little- so he's a firm believer in the legend. He had been playing in a park, close to the edge of a steep cut off. His parents had looked away for a second when the land shifted and he had gone hurtling over. However, the angel had rescued him- how he wasn't sure- but the next thing he knew he was safe behind his parents, who were looking over the edge for him.

Personality: Issac is the typical Slytherin, but he does differ from his housemates because he can look past houses and see people for who they are. Issac is truly a nice guy, but you have to get through his outer shell before you'll see the good part. If you make him mad he won't hesitate to hurt you.
History:Issac began his education in the sixteenth century at Hogwarts. He is the son of two very well known vampires on the counsel. But he ran away from home, because he didn't want everyone to like him just because he was the son of a powerful couple. One night he got a letter by owl saying that he was accepted to Hogwarts. Then during his seventh year he ran across another vampire. But they didn't know he was already for a vampire and they bit him. So he was then forever frozen at the age of 17. He left then and now has come back to finish his schooling.
