Lily groaned and sat up looking at him. "they are dating Sirius. What do you expect them to do? The same thing we were doing. Granted, I don't like the thought of it, but they are dating so it's kind of a given."

"Yeah but...they just started dating!" Sirius sighed. "This sucks. We need to step up or something, if they're really doing what I think they're doing."

"well today is the day we all go to Hogsmeade. Perfect place to step up our game." Lily looked at Sirius and smiled warmly. "it will all turn out in the end. We just need to be tough and no matter how...upset we get we can't let it show."

Sirius smiled, running a hand through her red hair. "OK, get some sleep, then," he sighed, laying on the floor and looking in the fire, unable to go to sleep again.

Lily smiled and lay back down watching Sirius. Her smile quickly turned to a frown and she got up walking over to him. She sat down next to him and put her hand on his back. "you will get her back Sirius."

Sirius looked at her. "I never had her," he whispered. "But that's fine. I'll get her, you know? I know she's not a prize to be won or whatever, but in my eyes, she is. Truly."

Lily rubbed his back softly. "I know. But deep down I know that Marry loves you too Sirius. The same way that I think deep down James loves me. We just need to make them realize that."

"we can give them them a bit longer I think. It is still kind of early. If you didn't notice it was 7 in the morning when you woke up. That's rather early on a day when we don't have class." Lily smiled and gently squeezed his hand.

"Especally for me," Sirius said. "I'm just worried about Marry. I don't want them to...uh...Do It. You know? I don't think things last when you...uh...Do It on the first day you start dating," he said, closing his eyes. "I'm a weirdo," he laughed.

Lily looked at Sirius and tilted her head. "Marry isn't going to do anthing dumb. And James certainly wouldn't do that with her anyway. She is far too innicent for that. Besides James wouldn't do that either." SHe smile and giggled. "you are weird, but that's why we all like you."

"Hey, I've heard of weirder things," Sirius said, opening his eyes. "Trust me. Much, much weird things," he added, looking at his fingers. "I get around," he added with a smug smile.

"I trust them, but with some fire whiskey and some love songs, a innecent night can turn into a party," he laughed. "Just as my mom," he added with another laugh.

"Well, I'm a little thirsty. Do you want to come down to the kitchen with me?"

"oh now that's just ridiculous. You know a well as I do that Marry would never touch te stuff. Now James I have no doubt in my mind, but Marry wouldn't." Lily shook her head and smiled. "that comment is the weirdest thing I've ever heard." She stood up and held out her hand. "sure let's go. I'm ont going to be going back to sleep now. No thanks to you. You owe me."

Sirius began to laugh happily. "That was my plan," he said through his laughs. "I freaked you out!" he said, jumping up and going out of the Common Room happily.

"Too late," Sirius said. "You made me feel this way," he said, smiling. He put his arm around her shoulder, wondering what to get to drink. "I want some butterbeer," he said. "Oh, I just said that aloud, didn't I?" he laughed. "I seriously didn't mean to."

"why thank you kind sir." Lily giggled stepping through the portrait hole. She turned back to Sirius then to the house elves, who, of course greeted them warmly. "Shall we?"

"We shall," Sirius grinned, taking her hand. "May we have two butterbeers, please?" he asked the house elf. He nodded and then it was gone. It came back with two butterbeers and some gram crackers. "Thank you," he smiled, taking the bottles. "Do you want the crackers?" he asked Lily.

Lilytook her butterbeer and looked at Sirius and nodded. "sure why not. Crackers sound great. Where shall we go to consume our treats?"
