| TP Monkey I don't have a worst book ever because if I don't enjoy a book I just stop reading it. And I enjoy most of the books that I buy so I have no answer to that.

I agree with tacey.tinkerbell. I must say that I didn't enjoy The Great Gatsby however, as I found it increadibly boring and felt nothing for the characters. I don't really like most romance novels either, but I hardly ever read any. I'm dure there are more I disliked, but since I don't normally finish books enjoy them, they must have been for school.

| Highly Obsessive l l Bed Police I don't think 'worst book ever' is a good title, but you do get those you don't enjoy so much.
I didn't enjoy 1984, but I was forced to read it by school. I don't think I really did. Perhaps if I chose to read it again and actually tried to take it in, I might like it.

I despised Catch-22. It was a school assignment and I couldn't get half way through it. It was just ... ugh. Horrid, that's the word. A stream of consciousness that makes no sense and contradicts everything in the previous chapter. It follows no order and has flashbacks with no warning.

Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain is in my opinion the worst book ever... Normally I would stop reading a horrible book but it was required reading when I was in grade 11 so I had to. It was so boring. I just could not get into it. I liked most of the assigned books in high school but that one was awful

The Odysessy. It was just too confusing, and the only time I ever understood it was when we talked about it class. Not to mention the extremely tiny print made it so...ugh.

I didn't like Macbeth too much either-but then I'm not a big fan of Shakespeare so...

Hogwarts RPG Name: Cassie Alexandersson First | THE NOTEBOOK.
I'm sorry, but that was a bad read. Way toooo much detail. Like WAY too much. I'm reading the sequel, and I just wanna claw my eyes out, but I'm too determined to finish it, LOL.
By the way, the sequel is NOT about Noah & Allie and The notebook was a BOOK before it became a movie. |

Every time I attempted to finish this book for my Literature course, I feel asleep. I seriously doubt that Flaubert managed to stay awake long enough to write more than a few paragraphs.

Into the Wild,
-->read it for English class in 9th grade and it put me to sleep too, I mean how long can you read about plants and shrubbery before you start wanting to do something else...and factor in having a HP book at home you wanted to read, then you don't want to read it anymore.

| TP Monkey You all say that you hate the books that you read in English class. I've read a few books for English and so far I've liked them all!
Saying that you don't like Shakespeare where I live is like a crime. Seeing as I live down the road from his birthplace and where he grew up and all that.

The only books I've read that I really didn't like would be A Separate Peace and The Odyssey. I was forced to read both of them for english and found them both to be painful to read. The Odyssey was slightly confusing because of all the weird names. There were at least ten names that were really long and started with an A. A Separate Peace was just boring and pointless. I don't care about a guy who keeps trying to kill his best friend for no reason other then that the friend actually has talent, unlike the main character.

Henry James' "The Jolly Corner" - it's a short story, but OMG does it feel like it never ends. I could hardly get through the first page. You know how sometimes you'll read a few sentences and say to yourself, "Wait, what did I just read?" and then be able to understand it once you go back over it? Well I said the same thing to myself about the ENTIRE book, but there was NO WAY I was going back over it. lol. I think it's just James' writing - his sentences tend to be super long, to the point where you don't even know what the main subject and verb are. xD
