I do like that plot and I can see Eric doing that and thru the books I can see him changing and even Pam. Eric isn't the same vampire he was in book 1.

I mean I love Pam in the series but I like her a lot more in the books because of the changes and her slight flashes of humanity.

So I can totally see Eric doing that, but then I can hear Sookie now telling Eric that she doesn't need him taking care of her, she is doing just fine.

Can't wait for the nest book, but now I am getting into her Aurora Teagarden books. Still on the first one but I am digging it tho

And as for the Aurora Teagarden I do believe that that series is the next to become a TV series

I love this series and tv show. I'm a huge fan of Eric and hope Sookie ends up with him. I don't like bill all that much :/
I'm currently stick on dead as a doornail. It just kind of bores me, plus I haven't had much time to read. I will get to it soon

i read about 6 or 7 of them (before watching the show) and they got really boring to me; the characters are flat and the action was not action-y enough. then i tried to watch true blood, and after three episodes realized i didn't care at all what happened to the characters and then stopped wasting my time... so i personally wouldn't recommend either...

I'm reading the 3rd book at the moment, and getting through them slowly because of Uni. But Eric makes my insides flutter! I love the series too - that's what got me onto the books. None of my friends had read/watched the show so I wasn't introduced to them by anyone but I've introduced others and they love it too

Yes I have read them and they where ok.

On to the 5th book at the moment!! I loved the fourth book, with Eric and Sookie!

After rereading Dead Reckoning I have to say while I did love it... I also hated the ending. It was utter rubbish. I wanted to rip the book in half. I love that I got my Sookie and Eric fix, but still. HMPH.

I'm on to all together dead I was so disappointed because I've been getting the black books with the actors on the covers but now I've had to start buying the bright coloured ones... I didn't want to wait for eBay to post it

After Deadlocked there will only be one more Sookie Stackhouse novel.

I am devastated! I wanted her to be like Patricia Cornwell or Laurell Hamilton and write like 20+ of these books. SIGHS FOR LIFE!

^I prefer the original covers tbh. I no longer see the book series as anything remotely similar to TreuBlood, though... so it works for me. I was actually upset that the first two paperbacks I bought were the TrueBlood covers. SIGHS. I want them all in hardback with original covers. *sighs dreamily*

Also for anyone who hasn't picked these up... The short story book is FAB and the companion book is really neat too. I would suggest if you want a fix to go grab them.

I think I only have two of the True Blood covers for my paperback. For Dead Until Dark and Club Dead I think. I got them all from Wal-Mart during the first season when they were like 7 bucks a piece lol. Its only the last two books that I've got in hard back actually.

I mean she has sort of written herself into a corner I think, and it was by design if she is finishing up the series you know. And I would rather her finish the series on a high note instead of just pumping out book after book that has lost its way and its bite. Anita Blake has just gone down the toilet if you ask me. Oh man I stopped reading like 7 books ago...

I'm actually kind of happy that there's only going to be one more book after this new one. Only because the last couple of books just didn't seem as good as her earlier books. I've read some early reviews for Deadlocked and it sounds like this book raps up a few story lines..Interesting. I can't wait until it come out!

I have to agree. The last two books seem to just be fillers you know. To keep us interested in the series she wrote these books. Instead of waiting till she really had a great plot to give us. I find a lot of writers that are really hot and selling books fall into this trap. When they could take a page out of JK's book. It took her ten years to write seven books, but each book served a purpose. They weren't just filler books to keep us interested. Tolkien took half his lifetime plotting and planning LoTR. True fans will wait
