Why do you love Dumbledore? How do you think things would have turned out if he wasn’t the person he was? Is there anything that stands out to you as his greatest strength or moment?





I think he was a wonderful person. He cared more for his students than himself. It takes a very special person to give up their own life for the life of others. I also think he knew what was best for Harry, even though Harry couldn’t see that at times. Dumbledore knew when to let Harry figure out things for himself and when he needed to step in and give him a little push in the right direction.

I love his attitude to the kids. He treats them all the same, is compassionate, and has passion to help all of them. I think that's great.

I agree, he does have a lot of passion. Passion is a very powerful thing to have. You can accomplish great things with it. I also think it's great how he pointed out all the wonderful things the students did. Like little Neville standing up against his fellow Gryffindors. Dumbledore made a point to let everyone know how very brave that was.

Well, after what JK said my opinion on Dumbledore hasn't changed at all. He's still the most bravest man I knew, he's compassionate and vrey determined, that's what I love about him. He knew what he was doing and did it, knowing the conterversy would hit hard, but he didn't care. He went with it, doing what he did. It goes to show how much we never knew about him, and how much there is still to learn.

So yeah Dumbledore is still my altime favorite Headmaster and I admire him.

I admire the fact that Dumbledore was brilliant,excentric in a positive way,was different than other teachers and cared for his students very much.

I think the most thing that made me love Dumbledore was when Rowling told us he was gay. I didnt really seem so, thats why I took such interest in him.

well i think dumbledore's wierd humour is what made me love him the most!!that bcos most of my friens say i'm wierd tooand a few words:ahem!!Nitwit,oddment blubber,tweak!!!

I agree with you Mathi his humor makes going to school fun and interesting. You never know what he's going to say. He's also very random I've noticed while reading the books again.

i know!!but then ya he is serious when its necessary and he hardly loses his temper!!i agree that all his attitude makes going to school a fun!!

I love the fact that he was just so clever and so wise. It isn't just the fact that he was smart, but also had amazing common sense.

I also find the most touching thing is that he loved, but still led quite a lonely life. That as brilliant as he was, as he admitted, when he made mistakes they were whoppers!!! He is so innately good and sees the best in everyone, even when they don't see their potential themselves.

He's got a sense of humour and a twinkle in his eye and he is just fantastic.

I so agree, I think he was the most cleverest man in the series, well Voldemort was pretty clever too but look what happened to him in the end. It just goes to show that Dumbledore had a plan for everything, as we found out in book 7, all his actions were for a reason, carefully thought out and planned. Nothing was left to chance.

I have always said that, next to Harry, Dumbledore is my favorite character in the Harry Potter series because he inspires me to become as wise as he was one day. He had so much to offer the world. If he wasn't who he was, Harry's life would have turned out so much differently, becuase he would probably have been dead considering that Dumbledore was the only person Voldemort ever feared. Albus Dumbledore was someone who changed my life, even though he was fictional. He made me honestly wish that I knew someone like that in my life. He was wonderful.

Well I have to say Dumbledore is awsome because he is so wise! I don't really like that JK said he was gay, I mean he never acted like it. Mmmm... well I have to say I don't believe it. Dumbledore is NOT gay in my mind. He's just brilliant!

I love Dumbledore because he is the ultimate father figure. He knows that children are curious and will do things to get in trouble. He never raised his voice even when Fred and George took the aging potion to enter the Triwizard thing. He laughed about it. I mean I loved that. He was kind and gentle, yet he was powerful. He made mistakes when he was younger and he never tired to hid it and make excuses for it. He became a better man and tried to make the wizarding world a better place than how he found it.
