I'd like to say that I am not looking forward to not having Dumbledore in the last book. I do hope his portrait in the headmaster's office will be consulted often.

I agree with you. I always thought Dumbledore had Horcruxes but I read HBP recently to find out that you have to kill in order to make a horcrux. But I just hope he returns or Harry avenge his death.

btw, anyone knows what will happen to Fawkes now?

I think fawkes will either stay in hogwarts with the dumbledore portrait or he might even go with harry *shrugs*

He did kill Grindenwald, but I don't think we would have done a Horcrux.
Fawkes is going with Harry and I think that somehow, Dumbledore will comunicate through Fawkes. I don't think they'll consult the picture in the Headmaster's office because Harry won't go to school...

yeah, but harry will probably visit the portrait before going off on his adventure. thats proabally when he will get fawkes.

anyways, if Fawkes goes with Harry then Fawkes will be very helpful to him. Think about the advantages of having a phoenix by your side, I hope Harry gets Fawkes.

maybe there's goona be a great deal about that painting in book 7. It might give Harry advice on how to get to the other Horcruxes. But for that Harry has to go around carrying that painting.

I thought Fawkes had left by the end of the book? Or, I read wrong. I really should read HBP once more.

Reason for joining: Dumbledore has always been my favourite character, right from the first time I picked up the books. He is enigmatic but also very open. I can't explain all the reasons why I like him, that would take forever, but I can't express all of them either.

I cried more for Dumbledore's death then my grandfather's, I know, it's something I should be ashamed of. But he was just so nice, wise and caring. I also admire the way he finds the best in everyone. My favorite parts in the book, is the little talk between Harry and Dumbledore at the end of each book.

hay....i hope its just a hoax that dumbledore's dead.....but i think he really died....not to be pessimistic but, he was burried! and i think fawles went off to sirius coz i think sirius is alive.....just...hiding...again....

I just hope his death gets avenged in book 7. I'm sure it will be done though but then fighting Voldemort without Dumbledore seems a bit empty.

We all do, hope that is... But he's not completely dead, he will always be alive in Harry's heart. I don't know if that was saddening or simply cheesy...

Any theories on Dumbledore's patronus?

what is the form of his patronus? i dont really know....

Either a phoenix or something really weird... Like a duck. Or any other non-magical creature. I'd really see Dumbledore as having a duck patronus... I don't know why.

His patronus might be a Phoenix or a lion. Maybe something big and majestic because this is Dumbledore we're talking about. I'd love to know more about him in Book 7. I hope JK keeps that in mind.
