- SnitchSeeker was first launched in February, 2002.

- Our first host was phpwebhosting.com - cheap web hosting / cheap webhosting web host with php, mysql 5, php4, php5, php hosting, php cheap, multiple domain hosting. We got booted from them after 3 or 4 months and went offline for about 2 months, before we found a new host, which was infinity servers (Matt from DarkMark). We stayed with him for little over a year and got our own server in August this year.

- Whilst SnitchSeeker was using phpBB for it's forum software, there wasn't an option for having a house banner under your avatar, or a coloured screen name on the active users list. You needed to have an avatar with your house name. If you didn't, you would get into trouble. Unsorted members got into trouble for having house avatars.

- As most sites do, they experience technical problems. So the members were able to type in different URL's to get online. SnitchSeeker.Org, Snitch-Seeker.Net, SnitchSeeker.Net were just some of the other URL's.

- User ranks used to have stars, and other kinds of small icons above them, occasionally changing every one or two ranks.

- The permissions were slightly messed up with phpBB, as unsorted members could post in the Great Hall, and everyone was able to see the other common rooms' posts.

- Forums were smaller, less in number, and there weren't many sub-forums.

- The most common operating system used by SS members is Windows XP, followed by Windows 98.

- Most people were looking up Harry Potter websites using a search engine and came across SnitchSeeker.
