Any society needs a government to make it work and the Wizarding World is no exception to that. Who provides the basis for such a place that Harry and his friends can live? Why, the Ministry of Magic, of course!

Hello there, and welcome to the fan club dedicated to the Ministry of Magic. J.K. Rowling's expansive Harry Potter universe deeply ingrates it's Ministry in many facets of everyday life. Here is the place where members can come together and explore the inner workings of a place still shrouded in much mystery. What do those Unspeakables actually do? How do the different departments work? How do those paper planes stay up in the air?

The club will also be open and welcome to discussing the different characters that call the Ministry their workplace. Everyone from Arthur Weasley to Rufus Scrimgeour to Dolores Umbridge and beyond is open for discussion and debate here.

I serve as a sponsor of this club, which means that I will represent you among the staff, keep things fair and within SS rules and help coordinate events and such. However, this does not mean that I'll be running the club itself. That job will be given to you guys, the members who join, as well as other important leadership positions here. More news on that will be posted at a later date.

Joining the Ministry is simple and easy. (Plus, you know you want to.) To join:

1. Just click on the 'User CP' link located on the top blue line directly underneath the SnitchSeeker.com banner.
2. Follow the main menu heading 'Control Panel' down until you reach the link labeled 'Group Memberships.'
3. Then, scroll down the list of fan clubs until you reach 'Ministry of Magic' and click the 'Join Group' link.
4. Type up a reason why you want to join and click 'Send Request.'

Let's get the show on the road, folks! I'm Erica and I'm Ministry obsessed. There, I admit it.

I love Scrimgeour. He's an absolutely fantastic character in my opinion. I love how Rowling gives us readers so little to work with when it comes to the new Minister. It leaves us all grasping at straws as to what he has to do next and with Voldie on the loose, who knows what's gonna happen? EEEEEEEEEE!

Agreed with Erica! She created such an awesome character in Scrimgeour... I can't wait to see how he and the Ministry deal with the Order and Harry, after Harry snubbing him at the end of HBP! *excited*

Okay, starting in traditional ways.. I'm Christa, and I wish I could at least go to the actual Ministry of Magic. It sounds like a, well, (excuse the pun) magical place!

I go back and forth between liking Scrimgeour. The way Rowling made him seem mean made me not like him so much, I'll admit that. But, I'm starting to realize that he only had the intentions of the Wizarding World in mind. And, it's hard to become minister in the middle of a crisis, having to make up for Fudge..

There is definitely a lot that Rowling has yet to show us behind this new Minister. It's one of the reasons why I'm very anxious to get my hands on Book 7. HBP gave us so little in the way of personality and how the Ministry is being run now that he's in charge. It's a shame Rowling had to introduce him so late in the series. I'll admit that I disliked Fudge from the outset. He didn't act like someone who should've been given the power and responsiblity that he recieved.

Anyway, on a new topic, I still haven't recieved any applications for President of this fan club. If you guys are really interested, please take a look at the link and consider applying. I'd like to see this club grow into something that everyone would want to join and be a part of. And honestly, how many people on SS can say that they run the Ministry of Magic? lol

OMG i wanna join this club, Im gonna go and apply now, love the idea of working in a office that sorts out law breaking wizards. Thinks about that sentence there lol

Hi Everybody..

Hello all members of the MoM fan club. I'm the other sponsor, Backslash, and while the Ministry of Magic has its ups and downs, they do help to maintain (some) sense of order to the Wizarding World. So yeah, that's basically why I'm all for this fan club.

Still awaiting applications for the post of club president--PM Erica or me if you've got further questions.

I love the ministry, some of the people coming in in the mornings in the order of the phoenix are amusing, like the strailing scrolls of parchment and fire breathing chicken. Its government but it doesnt feel like government for some reason if that makes sense.

Of course one of my fave MOM characters has to be Arthur. I loved the first chapter of Hlaf blood especially when Fudge tells the prime minister about the dragons being shipped over seas. It was just a change to see things from the ministry's point of view.
I loved hating Umbridge which is great fun and has me ranting like Fudge for ages at a time to my friends though that has died down now we've gone on in the series.

I love the MoM! It is so interesting and full of mystery! I can't wait to get my hands on the book 7! I t should be so good!!!! I am interested in how the MoM is going to deal with all of the fresh news that LV is back! She will most likely pack everything into it. Well, no matter how long it is it will still be great! I wonder what else they are going to tell us about Scrimigeour. He is a very complex seeming person. Wait and See!

Hello to you all on this fine morning...

did nobody receive my application for this club

So, this club has been so empty for so long i think there are cobwebs at the sides and tumble weeds going round.
So who's everyone's favorite ministry member I mean Arthur's great but I always associate power hungry people like Crouch and Fudge with the ministry. Umbridge was fantastic to hate and I love hearing in the paper about how the ministry tackles muggle/ wizarding collisions. How about everyone else?
What job would you want if you were to work for the ministry of magic?

I would want to work in the Department of Mysteries! I love interesting things and finding out about the unknown! What about you?

Hmm, that's a difficult question.. I guess I would want to be in some sort of creature or wizard relations group. (Since we don't know all the different sections, I'm guessing this would be there) It would do stuff like regain friendships between witches and wizards of different countries, or friendships between the magical creatures.. I think that job is there..

What about the rest of you?

I am not a memeber yet. I am not sure whether no one got my appliacation or they just dont want me in it? Anyway I think the misuse of magical artifacts would be fun, to see all these strange things. But they do hurt muggles most of the time sooooooooo...? I don't know I wouldn't like to work in the department of mysteries it dosen't seem fun to me. I would like to work somewhere you see or create wierd things... What about everyone else???

I think a good activity for this club would be to go about treating what we do in an almost RP manner, say we have the members working in different departments. say the Dept. of Magical Law Enforcement could be decide on rules and stuff for the club. The Dept of Magical Games and Sports could be the activitys organizers and the department of mysteries could be discussing mysteries about the ministry in the books and the department for magical Accidents and Castatrophies could be club promotions like graphics and banners and people who send messages out to people to join.

Ministry officials have decided that in a bid to raise ministry employee's morale and activity here, we have decided to ipen up a suggestion box here in the atrium. Any wizard/witch wishing to submit their idea may write their suggestion a piece of parchment and owl post it to the atrium. All ideas shall taken in to great consideration and we whope when we have recieved an adequate idea we shall duely act accordingly and show those other clubs that we at the ministry are not a force to be reckoned with

Well, every Ministry employed. I was thinking that we may try to have some influence on the next inter-FC-competition, which is to be hosted by Sirius Black Fan Club. We at the ministry have to aprove of any sort of competetion, and therefore we should twist some brains and make the competition ours.. *evil laugh*
