The Observation Deck https://s26.postimg.cc/qxqc2fssp/Astro_Deck.jpg This circular room on top of the Astronomy tower is perfectly suited for viewing the stars. At each of its floor to ceiling windows a telescope is perfectly poised for you to view the sky. |
Looking to take advantage of the clear January skies and do a bit of stargazing? Hopefully you brought your own telescope. Over the Christmas break, each and every one of the telescopes usually set up in the windows has disappeared. The views over the grounds are still stunning...as long as you only want to look with the naked eye. Perhaps Professor Kennedy took them for cleaning over the holidays? |
Open! Chase had wanted to study in the library but NOOO--- unfortunately his secret (actually not really secret) study place had been stolen by a couple of first years. And he didn't have the energy to contest his rightful seat as an upperclassmen that required much more energy than this boy could afford at the moment. He decided to take his chances and study in a new location which led him to the Observation Deck. It took a brief moment for his eyes to adjust before he realized that perhaps this wasn't the optimal location for one to study in. Instead of turning away, the boy decided that it would be fun to relax up here for a bit and not study. Maybe he could even do some star gazing? Where was the telescope? He glanced around the area, figuring that they all must have been hidden in one location but then stopped when he realized that there were no telescopes at all in the vicinity. "Not the telescopes too!!" First the couch, the kitchens, and now the telescopes!! How could someone be doing this to him in the middle of the worst academic year of his life! He flopped onto the nearest couch and frowned. Well there went that plan. Guess he did have to study after all.... |
Beth Greyvson was not having it – lugging a telescope to the observation deck was out of the question. Ugh…and this year was just b e y o n d traumatizing with the points…how – how was slytherin going to win? They were thousands of points below Ravenclaw and…and in the negatives! Everyone was in the negatives. Smoothing out her uniform and walking onto the observation deck was a bad idea. |

He reclined on the sofa, looking through the ceiling windows at the night sky above them. "Gryffindor lost our couch..." he added thoughtfully. He wondered where all the items were disappearing too. They had to be going somewhere. "The objects must be going somewhere. You can't create or destroy mass, right?" Wow. He paused at his comment, realizing that he sounded like a complete bookworm at the moment. "I really got to get out more again.... Do you think actual people could start disappearing too? Who'll be the first to disappear?" |
