| Sine Cera - Without Wax
Zadkhiel's Portfolio Sine Cera is the thread I created to share my artwork with everyone here. I enjoy drawing very much and doing calligraphy and have been doing that for as long as I can rememeber though I haven't had as much time to act on my inspirations lately as I used to.
My specialty is definitely in line-art as you will soon see and I have never quite gotten the hang of colouring yet. So I apologize in advance if you are all looking for color pictures as I don't have any. ;;; I'm learning though, so I'll post them as I learn. Maybe.
As for the subjects and topics of my drawings... That's a horse of a different color, though again, I work almost exclusively with line-art. I do fanart, LOTS of original character sketches, portraits, and calligraphy (yes, I consider calligraphy a form of art). I love drawing people, RL or make-believe, figure-drawing or anime-style so all the pictures here will be of people. And of course, HP fanart will be here.
I hope that with this thread, maybe I'll feel more encouraged and motivated to draw more as it used to be my absolute favorite pasttime hobby.
I only have one rule for viewing my portfolio - PLEASE do not take these images and use them as your own. They are part of my actual RL portfolio and I worked very hard on each of these pieces. Some of them are signed, others are not, though if you look at the style, you can definitely tell that they are all mine.
This portfolio will be divided to make viewing easier. I hope? Post 1 - Portfolio Information (you are here!) Post 2 - Fanart Post 3 - Original Creations Post 4 - Portraits and Other
When I add new pictures, I'll post an update to Post 1 to save you the trouble of clicking about everywhere.
So now that I've said all that, I'll hush up now and post my first pic.
I really enjoyed creating these, so I hope that you enjoy looking at them!
Thanks for visiting! | Fanart Sephiroth Smile
This is a fanart I made of one of my favorite FF characters, Sephiroth. Being the bad guy that he is, I wondered what he would look like when he smiled and this is my result.

I have a HP fanart that's almost finished. I'll be scanning it soon! :sorcerer: |

| Original Creations The Love of an Angel
This picture is the one I used to make my signature. It's a rather old picture, but it's also one of my favorites. It's an unfinished picture however, and when I get the time, I'll add the detailing and clean it up and rescan it.
For the best resolution, you may see it HERE: The One Voice
This picture is an original character I created for a novel I'm currently writing. I haven't shown this picture to anyone publicly yet, so you guys are the first to see him! This is also one of my absolute favorite pictures and one of my most recent.

This picture is an original character I created for RPs in the HP world. This is a picture I'm still in the process of redoing, but if anyone's wondered what Zekke looks like, here he is.
I originally drew this during class when all I had was lined notebook paper, so this is the picture after I scanned and cleaned it and edited it of the majority of lines. It's still a WIP, but here he is. IMG removed because of broken link!

| Portraits and Others Looking Over a Shoulder
This picture is a portrait of someone I know. I like it a lot because it's cleaner than a lot of my other pictures (graphite gets smeary and smudged easily ) and it's pretty clear.
You can view the higher resolution pic HERE: The White Dragon
This is a portrait I did for a friend of mine. The Chinese characters read "White Dragon" because that's the nickname I ended up giving him.  The colors are really light, so I'm sorry to anyone who has problems seeing it, but it's hard to edit a picture in Photoshop that I drew so lightly to begin with. :unsure: ;;;

| Thanks you all for your replies!
It's very encouraging for artists and writers to receive feedback so I really thank you.
Crazee4Draco: You make some of the neatest avatars! The only ones I make are extremely simple and the animated ones takes me loooaaads of time.
rovie: YES, I'll post some calligraphy soon , which means I should have made another post for it, whooops. But I guess I can post it in the "other" section, no? BTW... I got the chance to look at your portfolio and I love your artwork, too, especially the shading, which I seem to have trouble with.
nicole_black: I'm glad you don't mind that they are in black and white because I should be posting more, soon.

| Wow, girl! I could fall for your Zadkhiel! Your drawings are really neat! What else can I say? Your drawing are really expressive, like tey comunicate a feeling really nicely. It is original too with only a hint of anime (I am guessing because of the ear rings for example). And here you said *I* had a unique style! lol, no comparison. That angel you drawed is impessive. I thought it showed cruelty and a sense of liberty at the same time... ah, an interpretation only, but I meant to tell, in short, it is beautiful
What else can I say??? Ah, girl, hoe I am ever compiting with you! lol
PS.I don't know if you are interested, but in Muggle.net there is a drawing contest about making the cover design for book 6 *wink wink* I am participating, you should as well. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Remus Viktor Lupin Fifth Year | Very cool artwork. I can barely draw stick figures unless you put oil pastels or chalk in my hands then I improve a bit. Pencil drawings are super hard for me. I tend not to trust myself with them, I control them too much instead of allowing them to flow. You do wonderful wonder. Good Luck with you work.

| Hey, thanks!
I'm sort of like that when I'm trying to color. I have such a hard time coloring - either in CG or watercolors or even colored pencils - especially people.
But I'm learning and trying.
Again, thank you! And I know it's late, but congrats on being an HIT champ! :sorcerer: |
