| Plaid's Portfolio *rubs hands together gleefully* Err... yes! :D
Although I draw a lot (so much, in fact, that my poor graphics tablet is literally cracking apart because I've worn it out), I find myself very rarely illustrating HP canon; instead most of the time I doodle fanfics I'm writing/reading or roleplays... so hopefully this forum will actually be incentive to draw "true" HP art! *laughs*
Digging through my stuff, I've got a pretty meagre assortment to show you initially, but I'm more than open to suggestions of who/what to draw next. :)
---
This is the newest - just a little portrait of Harry I whipped up while waiting to accumulate my 10 posts to become a true member. (wheehee! ...I mean, um, please imagine that was something incredibly dignified) I'm working on my shading which isn't so great in this piece, but I do like his hair, don't you? Think I got it messy enough? ;)
I realize that his Gryffindor badge should be showing, but when I got around to drawing it I was just so disgusted about the level of detail the drawing had already that I let it be. (Yes - detail - the hair counts - LOL!) Other than that and some faults in the shading I'm pretty pleased with it.
---
Albus Dumbledore, circa age 20-25. It's only half-inked and probably will never be finished, alas, even though I really like his (and Fawkes') expression, the placement of his hands just got too awkward. I might redo this picture from scratch, though - I really adore the concept, and I especially like my design for late-1800s-era-robes. ( ref used here.)
---
Okay, okay, okay - not canon I admit - this is fanart for a friend's fanfic. (Fanfanart? :P) It was her birthday, and I wanted to draw her something special, so I did. (The fanart, btw, is worth a read: The Red Shadow by H.E. Rushing at fanfiction.net.)
I really love the dress design here (based on this ref) and especially the shading. It just all came together really well and I'm very happy to show it off as one of my best pieces. The only fault I think is its background - clouds are a weakness for me and rain quadrouply so! - but other people have told me it looks fine so I'm still pleased, LOL.
That's all for now - any comments/critique (especially critique!) are humbly appreciated, of course :) In any case if you get this far thank you for looking! ^_^ |

| Ehehe! Thank you all so very much for your wonderful comments!
Hee - Dumbledore being "hippieish" - that makes me happy as it was the exact look I was going for XD As for H/Hr... eh maybe... I sat down to try and draw it and came up with a sketch of Snape. o_0 *blink* LOL! |

| spamming my own thread, I know, but this night's sketching - not anything finished but still amusing anyway:
^Hermione, looking startlingly like a movie starlet
^Severus Snape - used a pic of Alan Rickman for ref, it didn't help much did it? lol
Here are a few old sketches I just now remembered...
^Sketch of Lily Potter in mommyhood looking suspiciously like my old (nice) math teacher...
^only time I've drawn Sirius... probably the only time I will. xP He's just not terribly drawable to me, alas. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Fiona Renée Oliveraux First | Snape looks really fantastic. I knew it was him straightaway! Also, I really love Dumbledore's expression, and Fawks is so precious! You are really very talented.
I'm spamming your threads so you know that you're appreciated. All artists need that every once in a while. |

| Awww, thank you Froeth! *much hugs* XD I will eventually color and ink your request, I swear, mostly because it's one of the few things I've drawn lately that I've been absolutely 100% pleased with (aren't you lucky you didn't get one of the crud pieces *snort* XP)...
Anyway - here are a few more doodles from last night that are pretty terrible xP
A sketch of Lily Potter and baby Harry, about .5 seconds away from being dead/being famous, respectively. I don't know about the title - I was listening to Rain Again by DJ XTB, and it's from the song, so apparently this is titled "The Difference between Noise and Music". Err. Quick, go be literary with it...
Harry, circa age 27, as he appears in my fic Walls - long messy hair replaced with strict militarian cut, glasses tossed away for vision-correcting spells, comfortable muggle duds replaced with the formal Auror uniform. I actually really hate the picture, but I think it'll be better if I redo it, as last night the internet fritzed out thanks to Dennis and I couldn't get online to grab any ref. |

| Phew! See, told you I'd redo it -
Harry as he appears in Walls, again. I wish his expression wasn't so Malfoyesque, but oh well. Much better than the above, anyway! x3 |

A Draco/Hermione picture - blame Froeth, I read her fic Tangle today and suddenly I now think the pairing is plausible thanks to her writing, ROFL! XD The quote is from the song "Garden of Delights" by Lisa Loeb. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Fiona Renée Oliveraux First | I LOVE you! It's Sharon, isn't it? I think that's your user name that you post on for Walls, so I assume that's your name.
Yay! Oh, I really, really love the second one of Harry, he's pretty much just as I pictured him. Also, brill expression on Hermione in the last post. Its really good.
I sort of cheated. Since you haven't posted on Walls in like, a day... so forever ( ) I followed your sig link and read it at the other site. I seriously read through like... five pages of story and replies yesterday in one sitting. Just gets better, I swear. You're fantastic. |

| XD! Yay for the love! And yes, my name is Sharon - I actually sort of prefer being called it online but usually "Sharon" is taken on big boards like these, so I settle for something I can remember XD I'm so glad you're enjoying Walls! (Actually I'm happy you're reading it over there; editing it up for SS is a bit of a bear... ROFL... it's coming out a little mangled in some bits, imho. *snrk*) (and should I mention that you'd be very happily welcomed at RH if you sign up over there? LOL, we need more fic writers ;P)
Thank you so incredibly much for all your kind compliments! As soon as I get my head together from being scrambled by Book 6, I'm drawing you lots and lots of fanart... ROFL! |
