Default Office of Professor Ayana Sissay

Adjacent to the Arithmancy classroom is (you guessed it) the Arithmancy professor's office, currently occupied by internationally renowned arithmancer, Ayana Sissay. Never heard of her? That's quite all right. Arithmancy fame is rarely far-reaching.

The inside of Professor Sissay's office is directly influenced by her old office at Uagadou. The are two windows within the office, one that correctly portrays the weather outside and overlooks the Hogwarts grounds, and another on the opposite window that shows a harsh, rocky landscape. It is commonly covered in snow but strikingly beautiful, especially after sunset. The Mountains of the Moon. Above that window, a series of seven numbers are faintly etched into the framework.

Upon closer inspection, it is plain to see that there are a lot of numbers in this office. On the portraits, drawn on the table, on her inkwell, dotted through her bookcase that covers the entire back wall of the room, and in other odd corners of the room. Her books are eye catching and colourful, an impressive collection of information on Arithmancy she had amassed from her travels around the world. There is a faint smell of spices in the air, and the chairs provided for visitors to sit on are all mismatched but very comfortable.

While everything is very neatly sorted and filed, the colourful nature of the office makes it seem comfortingly messy. Professor Sissay has gone to great lengths to ensure that her office is inviting and unimposing, if a little foreign. There is one single photo of her family on her desk and is always turned away from any visitors. While Hogwarts is her new home away from home, Ayana likes to keep her personal life private.

OOC: To visit Professor Sissay, please post your character knocking on her office door and waiting for her to respond. We will do our best not to keep anyone waiting!
