| Arabic Countries
I have thought of an idea, wouldn't it be fun if we sorted people from where they came from? For Instance, you come from Saudi Arabia, we put you in that section. Here are some Arabic countries.
Saudi Arabia - 1
Palestine -5
Lebanon -3
Syria - 3
Jordan - 3
Bahrain -1
Yemmen
Oman
Iraq -2
Egypt -3
Sudan
Morroco
Algeria - 2
Moritania
Lybia
Somalia
Kuwait -2
Qatar - 1
U.A.E - 3
ETC... If your country is not listed, don't be shy you can ask us and we will add it.

Women in most of the Arabic/Muslim countries wear veils over their heads

They wear it in most of the religious countries.
I am going to continue the tally at the top of this thread, so you are from Bahrain?

Hello Ginpotter
Thanks and i am happy to see you too
I literally was raised in kuwait . I stayed there for so long. Hmm funny i can speak all arabic dialects . cause i passed by many different arabic teachers (lebanese, syrian, egyption, palestinian and many more)
Actually i've been to Egypt alot and i can speak Egypt-Arabic very fluently .I really do miss it, i hope i can go there soon, i miss horse riding in giza.

Qatar, near Saudi Arabia.
I don't actually live there, but my dad works over there (in Doha), and I'm hopefully going to visit him soon, so I ought to try learning a bit of Arabic - especially since I might be going to school over there in September!
Other Arabic countries I can think of - Dubai, Abu Dhabi...in fact, all of the UAE (Untied Arab Emirates).

I really do miss it, i hope i can go there soon, i miss horse riding in giza. Thats cool that you can understand all the different dialects. My Dad works in Saudi Arabia so when I go to visit him I can barely understand his friends because i'm not used to it. After a week or two i start to get better but i think its awesome that you can understand the different ones. Quote:

We will be more than happy to teach you arabic, you can join our learn arabic thread here
If you have any questions please ask, and we will help you all the way .
I'll add you to qatar
Qatar i heard is very beautiful, and i am sure you will like it. Randomness (Dubai and Abu-dhabi are cities of UAE, and not countries. All GCC countries are Saudi arabia, kuwait, bahrain, qatar, oman, and UAE)
I know they have many cities within similar names that it makes it confusing for foreigners to know which one is which . Quote:

What helped me most was watching their movies and soap operas, and arabic MTV it helps alot.
Then my school had soo many international students as well, and i had a lot of friends who helped me learn them too. I guess with practice you get better.
I know what you mean, in saudi arabia alone they have many dialects .. i don't know them all though, only the main ones from my friends i met in kuwait.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a good place to look for French tuition in Doha. I'm going to be there over Easter, and my mum's insisting I carry on learning French for exams during the summer Parents! Lol.
