Damien glimpsed the young man coming down the corridor in a FULL ON SPRINT and couldn't help but chuckle silently as he turned his head away. No need in letting the boy know he saw that display of excitement now was there? Heh.

Still watching Sabel in his peripheral vision he motioned with a quick jerk of his head that he should indeed join them. Yep. HE SHOULD.

Wow, nothing like two pieces of big news in one day! Roxanne didn't know if she was comment on that or not, she offered Wes a slight smile in congratulations.

She was dabbing at her eyes now, feeling, well, not better exactly, but out of tears at least. She was grateful for the sympathy. And feeling foolish for not being able to keep it together. "Who did you lose, if you don't mind me asking…?" Really, it was none of her business, so it was okay if he didn't answer.

"I think I'll do that. It's not like I'm going to be much use in this shape anyway." She didn't even know what she'd been thinking attempting work anyway. There were probably better ways of taking her mind off things.

When he caught Damien's head-jerk, he knew it was for him. Who else would it have been for?

Just in-case however, Sabel did take a cautionary glance of the surrounding area. Upon finding there was no one really near him, he took the gesture as an invitation to him and started forward.

"Well, well. Look what the tide brought in." Drawing up to Damien's side, he gave Wesley a respectful nod in acknowledgement. No need to let things get hairy between them again.

As his young protege approached Damien clapped him on the back and beamed. Yep. He was proud of this one. Stupid Gryffindoring and all. Heh.

"Made any headway on that desk yet," Damien asked with a grin. Throwing a conspiratorial glance toward Wes he couldn't help but BARK with laughter. Man he was cracking himself up today.

"Ready and groomed for YATI graduation, son?"

And then the news that made him blink at Wes. He had never been a fan of Izzy really... not in any sense of the words. BUT he was happy the OLD DOG had found happiness and in some weird way he hoped Isobel stopped being so ridiculous now that Wes was to be a PERMANENT fixture in her life. "Congrats, man. We will have to celebrate and all while I am here."

"You look good," Wes had to agree. Damien actually looked younger than he ever had in the MLE and definitely more tan. Whatever vitamins they put in the water out there sure were doing his old coworker some good.

He tilted his head and shrugged a bit about the retiring thing. "I don't know what I'd do in retirement," Wes admitted. "Not yet, anyway. I've still got a good ten years in me here." Heheh. He was going to be an old, old dog before anyone dragged him out of law enforcement. And even then he'd only go if Izzy would.

"So where have you been working?" He remembered to require before he noticed Damien's protege sneaking down the corridor. Wesley's eyes started twinkling but he turned back to his former Auror with a raised brow. "Celebrate? Hell yes, let's. Throw me a bachelor party, mate. Make it memorable." Something told Wes Damien would be good at memorable.

Catching a glimpse of Roxanne out of the corner of his eye, Wes swiveled his seat back toward the original person he'd been talking to. He cleared his throat solemnly and tried not to resort to making eye contact with the floor as he answered her question. "My wife. My first wife. Her name was Sylvia."

He was over her though.... wasn't he? He had a completely opposite life to look forward to with Isobel. "I totally understand. Have a drink or too," Wes suggested to her with a shrug. "And some chocolate cake." Those things were his favorite comfort objects, anyway.

Nodding toward Sabel and holding back a smirk at the desk comment, Wes pretended not to be listening to the mentor and his (former?) pupil's conversation. He focused on the papers in his hand for a moment instead.

"Yes I do." Hehe. He did indeed look GOOD.

"You would make your own hours and work for yourself like I do. Turns out I am a great person to work for. No rules, no regulations, and if I'm late for work... no one cares aside from the client." Perfection! And yeah... ten more years in him there. Whewww better Wes than Damien. He had had his fill of Ministry work at this juncture in his life. He might help out the American Ministry once in a while, but they did not employ him.

Hmmm he was fairly certain Gem wouldn't mind at all if he threw Wes a stag party... not at all. She could see Lily while they were partying for Wes. HEHE. "Sounds like a plan, man. I will get on that. I think I might know JUST the place actually," his eyes twinkled a bit as he started plotting things.

He also did not miss the grin the other man was trying to supress at the mention of his desk. It was funny stuff. Only Evander knew EVERY spell to get into and perhaps Wes knows by now. It was good training for the kids. "To answer your question, though, Wes, I mentor MLE trainees and do private tutoring for those not only in training but also for Defense classes. ADVANCED Defense that is. Sabel continued his training with me as it were," he said with a nod.

Mmm. Coffee. Isobel had been at work a couple of hours now, and had decided that her need for coffee really did need to be filled. Hopefully that would get her through to lunch. The head auror smiled to herself as she wondered through from the auroor offices, and through the to the reception areas. She would've walked straight past, but a little gathering of people caught her attention. Sabel, Wes, that women from the other offices and...Damien? Damien was here. Interesting. Isobel hadn't seen her old collegue since the man had retired.

Well, she definetly needed to go over a say hello. She could get coffee later. But as she approached the little group, it was Wes that kind of worried her. He looked a little solemn. "You okay?" She asked, as she came up behind him, resting her hands softly on his shoulders. She had no idea what they had been talking about, but it wasn't enjoyable seeing her fiance looking upset.

Now. Damien. She looked up from Wesley, and offered the retired auror a smile. "Hey Damien. It's good to see you!"

And there she went, making others sad too. Sigh. Roxanne really needed to get out of here before anyone else was affected. "I'm sorry," she said, picking up her purse and standing up.

"That sounds great, actually." Yep, that was exactly what she was going to do, now that the suggestion had been made. Maybe she'd add a bowl of ice cream to that. Or just for go the drink and cake and have a whole carton of ice cream. "I'll see you… sometime," she said awkwardly, not really sure how to end that sentence.

She smiled and nodded politely at the woman who had come up behind Wes and made her way out of the office, already trying to figure out the closest grocery store.

Oh, the desk. Not only did Damien do well to mention it verbally, but the little eye twinkling and smirks that were being passed between Wesley and Damien worse. He could feel his face heating in dead embarrassment and his spine straightening in defense.

"It's still under lock and key." He muttered under his breath, half hoping no one would hear him. "Private as you would want it kept."

Shifting his weight, he stole a glance at Wesley. The desk had definitely been a lesson: albeit probably a lesson Damien hadn't intended that he learn.

Blinking in surprise, he found his attention suddenly diverted by the mention of 'graduating'. Suddenly his palms felt sweaty and he had to wipe them on his pants to try and calm his sudden jumble of nerves. Especially when he caught sight of the Head Auror lurking over Wesley's shoulder. "I....forgot that was this year." Wonderful thing to forget.

So...yeah...no...not really?

Ellantine walked into the Reception and Waiting area, a look a disdain on her face as she surveyed the place.

Lights bounced out of the lift and into the MLE reception feeling like she was on top of the world. This was a good day! The summer sun was shining, the nest of birds outside her apartment had been cheeping, her six-year-old twins had been nothing but little angels recently (Lights suspected it was because of the toy broomstick they had seen in Diagon Alley) ... everything seemed great today.

As she entered the reception, Lights' eyes fell on a woman she didn't recognise. "Hello," she said brightly. "Can I help you?"

Ellantineshook her head slightly to herself when she realized that the woman who had just greeted her was a MLE witch who worked here. Was this witch careless, did the MLE's not have uniforms, or was THIS the uniform? Shouldn't they have uniforms when they were at work?

She crossed her arms. "Yes...yes I suppose you can. My name is Ellantine. I am here to report an attack."

Lights smiled sweetly despite this woman's obvious disdain. "Hello Ellantine, I'm Lights. Can you come this way please?" She walked through the doors to the MLES area, deciding to take Ellantine to her desk so she could hear her story in a more comfortable environment.

Dacs made her way out to the waiting area and stopped in a corner and waited for Josh to join her. The young YATI had a problem and wasn't sure if it was with just her. She saw it as he ranted at her about this and that. He lost his head for the stupidest thing.

Trying to take his growing anger under control, Josh followed the woman through the corridors in a deep silence. He was doing his best to calm himself down. Being called a sheep was not so bad, was it? He knew he needed to calm down otherwise he was going to attact even more trouble.

And he did not want more trouble. He was already in enough of that.

Once the woman stopped, the young man stopped as well, staring at her.

Well....what now? Was this the place she was going to yell at him?

Dacs looked at him with mild interest and said,"I know you're not stupid nor suicidal. You are an Auror, in training but one nonetheless. You know not to get at a superior officer. So, there usually is something that's bothering someone of your training." Dacs leaned against the wall and folded her toned arms across her chest,"I don't mean to pry but what's the problem? You don't have to give details but I just want to know that one of ours isn't going genuinely crazy, possibly rabid."


She didn't want to pry but Dacs knew better. He just sounded like a kid with too much to handle.

Still in deep silence except his breaths that he repeatedly took in to calm himself down, Josh watched the woman lean against the wall and fold her arms probably preparing herself to yell at him. The young man looked around. Yeah, this place looked to be a perfect one to be yelled at; no one was around.

When the woman started to speak though, he got a bit surprised as it turned out that she was not yelling. To be honest, her first words quite much helped him to calm down. Especially the part about her not thinking that he was stupid. He looked down at the floor as he considered how he was going to talk to the woman. He did not want to get in more trouble by revealisng his...troubles.

After letting out a sigh, he looked back at the woman. ''I...'' he began, unsure of how to explain it ''Right. I have some...problems. But they have nothing to do with my training or the the people in the offices. I just...''

How bad could it be?

''I am just very stressed.''

Dacs gave him a tight lipped smile and said,"Well put Josh. Just let it happen again because it may not be me or it maybe me and I'm in a bad mood."

With that she headed back into the office. Enough time wasn't there for them.

Isobel hadn't really been intending on visting Level 2 nor Wesley when she had been in the upper levels of the ministry. But after what had gone down in the Althea's department she needed to talk to someone, and hopefully that person would be her husband. She'd sent him a patronus already, although she had no idea what he was doing today, she hadn't checked on the calenders when she'd gotten into her office this morning. Izzy sighed, wandering through to the reception area.

She hadn't been up to Level 2 in a while, it felt a little weird. She offered Muriel a smile, before taking a seat on one of the chairs.

"Hello, darling," Wes' voice boomed out as he came around the corner and into the reception area. He bent down to give his wife a proper kiss and then held out a hand to help her up, out of the chair. Surely she'd want to speak to him somewhere other than the silly reception area, yes?

"Everything all right?"

A smile did appear on her face as she heard his voice. Regardless of if she was upset Wesley would always be able to cheer her up. She smiled, taking her hand as she pushed herself up from the chair. Well that was better. Those chairs were rather uncomfortable. "You should invest in some moer comfortable chairs." She decided first, before she looked up at him. Everything all right?

No. Not really. She shook her head. "Somewhere private?" Because they didn't need the whole of his department knowing their business.

Wes kept her hand as he helped her up, and gave it a kiss too as he saw the expression on her pretty face. "I should.... and I will. I'll speak to Greingoth about it later." His pregnant wife at least deserved a comfortable chair to sit in when she came to visit, did she not? She was a department head after all.

So something was up. Ah. He could tell from looking at her. "Well, there's people in my office..." Wes frowned. That wouldn't do, not at all. "But I know a place that's always available..." Wes gave her hand a squeeze and started leading her to the back corner of his level.

Hopefully she wouldn't hate him for this.

Carlton Picard walked into the Waiting Area. She was nervous in this place, because everyone at the MLE knew she had a bad record. She was prosecuted by the international MLE for being a Cultist symphasizer.

Lights seemed to always be first on the scene to greet visitors. Maybe Wes should add "receptionist" to her job description. Anyways, she was just coming into the Reception with a takeaway cup of tea (yes, tea, not coffee, she was trying to get over that addiction) when she saw a rather anxious-looking woman.
"Hello," she said in her soft singsong South-Welsh accent. "Can I help you? Are you here to see someone in particular?" The woman seemed familiar somehow, although Lights couldn't put her finger on where she'd seen her before. Maybe in Diagon Alley?

Jade hurried into the MLE department carrying the memo she had gotten back in the DMAC about a wizard who was causing mischief outside the ministry particularly in Muggle London. At this time, it was a minor incident but she had no doubt that it would escalate into a major one in no time.

She came to a stop in the MLE reception realizing that she had no idea who was the liaison from MLE on this case.
