"Hey!" Penwyn ran after Alex to the second level. Climate charms may not have been her specialty, but maybe she could help anyway as she came from the same department and Alex looked like she needed help. Then she slipped with a OOF! as she slid and skidded on the freezing floor.

Okay, so happening for awhile but not really sure how long, since everyone had just gotten there. Roxanne nodded to let Sky know that she'd heard and made note of it. "Seating Area of the food court and Mr. Yenorin's office are the only ones I know of so far," she answered Benjy as she readied her wand to start working on the charm.

Until she was stopped by someone's rude comment, that was. Roxanne sent a look in the woman's direction that clearly told the woman she was an idiot. "Well, gee Emily, I don’t know. I don't think I'm qualified enough, seeing as I'm just a lowly Department Head compared to your ever so high and mighty MLEers........." she replied with her own smirk. Sure, it might've been kinda catty, but seriously? Law Enforcement should at least know who the other department heads are, for security reasons. "I have no idea, seeing as I've been running around working myself and haven't had time to ask."

Then someone else joined their little impromptu ice-skating party, followed quickly by Alex and Penwyn. Sigh. "Alex, please follow that gentleman to whichever office it's raining in and I'll deal with the charms in here. Penwyn, please go back to our department and patronus me or Alex if any other level needs us." Hopefully she'd realize that she'd be more help there, because Roxanne really didn't feel like arguing with one of her own, not when she was already ready to blast Emily for how far she'd let the quality of people in here drop (really it was only the two in the room currently, but still...). Seriously, she was on the verge of filing a formal complaint with Kettleburn!

Penwyn carefully stood back up and realized that her boss was also already here. Oh. "So...um...I guess I'm not exactly needed here" She said awkwardly right as Carter sent her back with a different task. "Okay, but be ready to receive a Patronus every five minutes. I wouldn't be surprised if every floor got hit. But I'll do what you ask anyway." That she said hurriedly at the look on Roxanne's face. She didn't look in the mood for disagreements. Penwyn turned around and ran out of the room, tripping a few more times on the way.

Vic grinned at his boss lady, of course good stuff. He always did good stuff. He was the good stuff doer. Okay he's gonna stop now, this was important and emergency something. "I wish I could." He replied to her question, solemnly nodding his head.

Did the environment department team get here? Vic took a look around and realized there were unfamiliar faces in the crowd, save the department head. The one who used to work here with Wes. The environment boss was here herself, great! All their problems should be solved!

"On it! Already waterproofed some papers in the offices, just wanted to make sure the environment team was here before going back in." He let go of the chair and clutched another one closer to the crowd to hear what was being said.

OH okay, the department head was obviously stressed out. Vic got it. But no sarcastic comments were allowed to be thrown at his boss, he playfully squinted his eyes at the "Green" lady, then mouthed to Emily, 'Do I arrest her' GRIN. Oh Merlin, he was not taking this seriously. He was in a good mood, okay? His papers were saved.

"Yes, ma'am." he answered the environment boss finally, "This way, miss." He smiled at the one remaining employee, sliiiiding away from the chair, and holding his hands out for her in case she wasn't familiar with skiing or sliding on icy floors.

Being present as a third Enviro employee turned up, Emily was amused. It was in fact nice to see them so active and doing something on level two - or at least, were in the process of doing something, and hopefully achieving the desired result. Tick tock tick tock, time was of the essence.

"And the Minister's office," Emily interjected with a curt nod, because the Enviro Department Head should have been made privy to that detail, head honcho and all. She was certain the Minister would be pleased to see Roxanne again, heh. "I was there earlier, I'm sure your people have been alerted..." Gavin wasn't one for being tardy, though considering Enviro seemed to be spread a little thin, it was possible that level one had flown under the radar. How awkward. Perhaps it was best to send back the third assistant after all.. shame though, MLE deserved the extra attention.

At least Vic was on top of things, of course he was on top of things. All of her staff ought to be on top of things, so this she wasn't all too concerned about.

She had been about to move off, get out of the way while Enviro did their work.. Emily had her own level to run without having to babysit and weather watch... but Roxanne's incredibly snarky comment strengthened her resolve to stay - even if only for a bit longer. Eyebrows raised, she observed the woman and her terribly disappointing behaviour, from a Department Head no less! A part of her wanted to tell her where to stick her attitude, and another part of her wanted to report her behaviour to a higher authority. But one side look at Vic was all she needed to keep her composure intact. Vic's light humour could always be counted on for such things, it was one of the many reasons she respected him as an employee and valued him as a friend. Emily's lips twitched in the corners, not smiling, but indicating to him that she was touched by his silent display of loyalty. Still, returning her gaze to Roxanne, Emily offered her a moderately sympathetic look, and it was a genuine one at that. "I'm sorry you feel that way, Roxanne," she mused, especially considering the woman had once been one of said high and mighty MLEers or had she forgotten? "but please, an ounce of professionalism would be appreciated." There was no need to be conceited and rude.

Considering the circumstances, the ice, the fumbling, the general mess of the waiting area, and the people incoming, it wasn't at all a big deal - nor a fault - that Emma had not seen or not recalled Roxanne. The prosecutor excelled in her area, and that was all that was required of her.

Honestly, if the stress of all things Enviro was getting to Roxanne, then perhaps she ought to have considered a career change.

It was raining and icy, yes, and no, it was not ideal, but circumstances could have been worse. Much worse. As it was, lava wasn't pouring from the ceiling, so they would survive. Emily only hoped Roxanne remembered how to breathe, at least Alex was keeping her cool.

Benjy listened to the list of locations with issues from his location on the floor. No bother getting up right away only to fall again, like several of the others seemed to be doing. It was only after Vic had joined the group as well as some other enviro people and Emily had given them a job, that Benjy started to get up. "On my way." He called out, turning his attention away from the enviro people's talk. Once he was most of the way up, he slid over to Sky to help her up so they could get back to work.

Offering a hand to help get her up on her feet, the redhead asked his wife a question semi-quietly, forgetting for a moment that there were others around. "Are you okay? and the baby?" He pushed himself up to a standing position as he helped Sky up. Now that they were up, they'd just have to skate back to the office and get to work waterproofing things until the rain stopped. Still holding Sky's hand to try to help keep her stable, Benjy used the wall and chairs to slowly make his way back to the office.

Yeah, yeah sure, whatever. Roxanne wasn't buying it (and let her face say as much), especially with whole flirting thing going on with the still unknown man. Which, talk about unprofessional behavior! Yep, looked like her and Kettleburn were going to have a rather nice chat when she went back up there, mmhhmm. But, instead of saying anything about it, she set about making the malfunctioning charm visible.

"If it's in the same shape as the one in Mr. Yenorin's office, there's no way it can be fixed today," she warned everyone. And she was fully expecting to be. Bummer.

And she had thought about a career change. Just that the woman currently running the department into the ground beat her to her desired position.....

Upon making the charm visible, you find that it is broken as part of it is missing, almost as if something very small had chewed it's way through.

How odd.

Emily smiled, nodding at Benjy, he was a good egg. "Thank you." At least that was one less thing she'd have to worry about, though with all the ice, it was hardly a fair trade.

It didn't cease to amaze her how... catty... for want of a better word, Roxanne was, even her silence was irksome. At any rate, Emily didn't like the sound of the whole not being able to fix it today thing, it was immensely inconvenient. She ought to have someone set up a caution: ice ahead sign on their landing, yeah, she'd get on that. Safety first. She wasn't an expert in climate control charms, but what Roxanne had revealed didn't look too good to her. Was that, a hole, in the charm? ... Merlin.
"Well thank you for your assistance," she said the her fellow Head, regardless of the woman's frostiness. "If you need anything, don't hesitate to ask."

She wasn't sticking around. With a little modification to her boots, Emily collected herself and managed to skate - somewhat awkwardly - toward the offices. The ice was slicccck, far too slick for her liking.

Well then... was there any need for the sarcastic comments? Honestly, Alex didn't really know the younger woman, but she was unimpressed thus far. Sure she was frustrated, but weren't they all? It wasn't as if the Environmental Department was very large, not to mention majority of its employees worked off-site.

Shaking her head, as the woman addressed 'her lot', as if those visiting to HELP weren't important, Alex instead focused on her surroundings and trying not to fall on her bottom . . .

Oh Penwyn! What a surprise! Smiling appreciatively when she noticed her colleague present to assist, she continued surveying.

It seemed ... they were divided. Weren't they all Ministry employees? And yet the Law Enforcement Head seemed to address her kind, whilst Roxanne addressed herself and Penwyn. Alright. Follow the gentlemen. The prosecutor, yup, she knew the one. Nodding politely at Penwyn - who was off to wait on level four for word about other departments with climate issues - and then at Roxanne, Alex turned slid around toward the Prosecutor.

Wand at her side, because she was a skilled witch, Alex nodded toward the prosecutor, sliding after him. Though she was grateful for his hands, she was quite content to skate on her own. It was like flashbacks to when she was young-er. Just before she turned the corridor though, she caught glimpse of a charm. And of something else ... the same thing she saw in the food seating area.

Odd. This was definitely more than just wonky climates, she hoped they realized.

Sky smiled and accepted his hand. Almost slipping as she managed to get on her feet. She had never been on ice before so this was new. "Yes I am fine. Yes the baby is fine as well." She would have said something sarcastic but she was just glad to have a hand to hold onto.

Waterproofing understood. Still gripping onto Benjy's hand she semi slipped semi skated towards the office to start waterproofing things. Sigh this would be a long day if everything was going to get all ice... She would just stat with the ice skates... But then she didn't even know how to ice skate which came a whole other problem. But the Enivro peeps were on the case so hopefully she wouldn't have to worry about it.

Making sure Emily was actually gone before making her move, Roxanne raised her wand and thought back to what she'd learned back in college. A spell for when there's only one weak point in an otherwise strong climate charm. Yes, she'd known it the whole time, it was just after the attitude she was getting from some of the MLEers, saying she couldn't fix anything was her own special way punishing them. Let them freeze sweat it out a bit. Hehheh.

The woman pointed her wand at the hole in the charm and spoke again. "Aeneas Summanus!" There, that should work.

The temperature in the room began to stabilize almost immediately, as if someone was slowly adjusting the temperature using a dial. The rain eased, and the crisp cool conditions subsided.

Now all that was left... was the ice and puddles of water.
