Healer and Care Station
|
Bradley arrived to work before anyone else had. What better way to get everything under control and in order. Hopefully they wouldn't run in too a ton of accidents today, but they did happen. And there were always those people there with random health questions. Those were always fun. Brad wiped his hands on his scrub pants, still feeling more comfortable coming into work in this then dressier clothes. Besides as a healer he could get away with it. Don't want blood or nasty stuff on the good clothes now do we. Bradley started to straighten up his things, getting ready for the day ahead. |

She was going to be so angry if she had left it at home or somewhere over the weekend, which would be worse! Rolling her eyes at Brad she clicked her tongue, "if i did i wouldn't be looking for it." She was obviously in a bad mood and he seemed way too amused with her frantic state to try and calm her down or anything, Thanks Brad. !!!!!!! "What!?" she snapped her eyes up to him her voice raising in a way it shouldn't have and and looked to where he was pointing .................................................. ......................................... "Sweet mother!" how the hell did it get there!? she knew she didn't pin it on herself.. what.. "sorry.. ugh.. thanks...." she could not believe she did that.. "anyone else arrive yet, do you know?" in other words should she rush to the daycare center? |

"Sorry. But that's bad that you don't remember pinning it there. Need a potion to help your memory? I have some." Brad was being a bit of a jerk. But Athena wouldn't dare punch him at work. Maybe. He hoped. "I haven't seen anyone since I got here." |
HEALTH EVALS TL (sorry about the double post but it's been months) Bradley grumbled as he made his way back to his station. It was nothing like the way he'd left it the day before. They even changed out the desk. Because that was entirely necessary. And that book. Jeez. There's was no way they could check every single person in the ministry. There were just too many. And what about those people that came in and out. First things first: Brad had to start putting things back where they belonged. He made a face at the table and the book as he went back behind the station to start rearranging the things. Now what was wrong with his organizational system for the potions? The other healers he worked with didn't even touch them. He just mumbled under his breath as he started putting things back where they belonged. |
Kade was not looking forward to this. He didn't understand the importance or necessity of health evaluations at work. Still, here he was. And it looked like he was the only one here, too. Beside Brad. Kaden stood with his hands in the pockets of his trousers for a moment before speaking up. "Need some help? With... whatever you're doing there?" Whatever it was, Brad looked annoyed about it. Oh. And also. He was here for his appointment. That was obvious, right? |
Brad was grumbling under his breath. There. The potions were back where they belonged. Now to deal with the rest of this mess. Yes. Mess. That's what this was. He looked up at a familiar voice. "Nah I'm good Kade. Mungo's people messed up my system." And obviously the 30 year old was very upset about the whole thing. Sometimes he wondered if he was still five. Bradley let out a sigh. "Here for your health check?" |
Kade almost laughed, but he managed to keep his face neutral and professional. "They kind of just invaded the place, didn't they?" He looked around at the different sort of scenery than was usually here. He leaned against the table and flipped idly through the gigantic book that was sitting on it. "Unfortunately. Do you do it, or it is one of the St. Mungo's healers?" He couldn't decide which would be worse, to be honest. He considered Brad a friend and having a friend do perform a health evaluation on him wasn't Kade's idea of a good time. |
Brad just scoffed a bit. "More than kind of. I was home for one night and then the next day I come in BAM! They rearranged everything..." Especially that table. What was wrong with their wooden desk anyways? It was much more professional looking. He crossed his arms and watched Kade. "Either or. I think they're trying to do most of them but no one's come up here yet. So looks like you might be stuck with me." That was going to be weird. Oh well. He literally had no choice. |
Now Kade couldn't help but laugh. Brad just seemed so exasperated by the whole thing that it was funny. He could see where the guy was coming from, though. If he walked into his office one day and suddenly everything was different he'd be a little upset. "At least they aren't staying here for long, yeah?" Bright side. He made a face, closed the book, and turned to Brad. "Should we wait for a minute or something?" Since the place was so busy (sarcasm), it probably wouldn't hurt to wait a while. See if the St. Mungo's people showed up or not. It was a good excuse to not be working, at least. |
Kade was laughing. Did he want to join Brad's bad list with the Mugno's people? He was lucky Brad liked the guy and didn't need to lose any guy friends. Those were few and far between. "I have no idea what is going on with them." He hoped it wouldn't be long but he honestly had no idea. Brad shrugged. "We can. Or we can just go in the other room and pretend to be doing an eval just so you don't have to go through this dumb stuff." See. He was sort of following the rules and there was no one else here to hear him. |
She had gotten the memo loud and clear and it was just ridiculous. Honestly what was Anthony thinking. They were all grown adults not children. Each person would have their own healer so this was pointless. Victoria herself had two different healers, one for medical and one for her therapy appointments she had been in since the twins were six months. So why on earth would she have to be here. As she made her way to the area that the memo told her to go she noticed a few people. Whatever it was they had to do for these check better not take too long. She had work to do and there was no way she was wasting time this ridiculous place just to keep a bunch of healers from St. Mungos employed. Honestly if they didn't have enough patients at the hospital maybe they shouldn't higher so many healers. |
Strolling in to the Atrium was Deacon. Health evaluations weren't exactly one of his first few choices to do during the day. He considered himself healthy, he ate right ..Two guys? Geez, where were all the lady healers? Deacon's blank expression remained as he approached closer while they conversed about getting a room. He saw the older taken woman Victoria though. She wasn't very thrilled to be here either it looked like. So she got a little wave and smile from him. The two men on the other hand, Deacon raised his chin up into a little nod of acknowledgement at them. Sup. "..This where you get your health checked?" If not, then a little direction on where to go would be nice. |
Pretend to do an evaluation. See, that was why Kaden liked Brad. He was smart. And willing to break rules to help a friend. Or himself. Because really, it was obvious that Brad wasn't happy about this situation, so that probably meant he wasn't excited to do the evaluations. And Kade wasn't too keen to have one done. So his co-workers idea really benefited both of them. ... Except now it might not work. Because other people were here. And talking to them. Kade nodded to the woman, who hadn't said a word, then turned to the man that had spoke up. "This is the place. Brad here's a Ministry healer. None of the St. Mungo's healers have shown up yet." Where were they, anyway? |

He then turned to the man. "Yep. As Mr. Fuller said the Mungo's healers haven't shown up yet. I'm Bradley Donovan, head healer here at the ministry." And not very happy there are other people here now to tell him how to do his job. He also didn't like having to call Kade Mr. Fuller. That was weird. |
shhh I sorta have permission for this... play along ;) If there was anything the Daily Prophet was good at, it was getting the scoop on what was going on inside the Ministry of Magic. They had quite a few insiders, if she did say so herself, well-placed in strategic positions throughout the numerous departments here. But the one thing all the DP's spies had in common? Medical examinations this week. Who knew the Ministry could afford the services of the REAL Healers from St. Mungo's?! Tori certainly hadn't known this, not until she sneaked into the Ministry and pretended to be an employee, of course. And she wouldn't know what these medical examinations were REALLY like unless she got one herself! SO basically, she was undercover and the article she was going to write about all this would be grand and win her at least one journalistic prize of awesomeness. GRAND! The redhead casually strolled up to the Healer desk of the Atrium at just the right distance behind two other employees. She tucked her sunglasses up on top of her head and flipped a bit of long, red hair over her shoulder. Of course she smiled at the man who seemed to be in charge. Or was he not very sure of himself? Either way, he was a cutie pattootie, so he got all smiles. "Hello, I'm here for my appointment?" |

"All right. I'll need your name and what department you belong to." That way he could check her off. He probably should've asked that guy for that info too. But wouldn't matter. Wasn't like he was trying very hard. |
*gets wand and 'BAD SIDE EFFECTS' potions ready* The stress in the atmosphere was making Wandastian need a hot oil treatment. Stat! It'd been a good job he'd gotten a detailed map, as well. This building, while infested with his anxiety and germs, was a labyrinth of corridors and lifts. He paused to apply some hand sanitizer. Pushing his way into another room, checking for employees that might be hiding or trying to get out of being these VERY IMPORTANT examinations, Wandy proceeded to the Healer Station. Many people are already turned up, looking none to happy about it. Well, that was essentially too bad. They were all so sick. With each passing second, the signs and symptoms presented themselves. He contemplated possible stress-relieving activities while \slathering on more hand sanitizer. Some zen gardening would've been spectacularly lovely right about now. Healer Donovan had his hands full, so Wandastian took the next 'patient'. Oh, she was a HAPPY one. Her grinning face was what the Healers loved to see...but perhaps she was covering up something much more traumatic. Yes, yes...Wandy had seen it many, many times. Very unfortunate. "Healer Donovan, allow me to take this one." The very busy Healer received a wide smile. It was explicitly clear Wandastian was leaving no room for arguments. "I need your full name and your level." The appointment book was indicated. |
The young redhead didn't even get a chance to answer Bradley's inquiry. Well then. If it wasn't Mr. Epitaph himself. Too bad he was the one Brad had to work with. It would be a bit harder to pull it over Mungo's Head Healer. "Whatever you say Mr. Epitah. I already have someone waiting back in the examination room and these two were actually here before this one." He pointed to Victoria and the other fellow. Poor people. This whole mess made him glad he turned that job down at Mungo's. Definitely not the time of people he would want to work with. |
Ferris couldn't be sick. The germaphobe had been so, um, well, you see, careful when he had been subjected to working in the asylum. Even worse still it meant he had to interact with humans. Perhaps two or three. He would freeze up. Meep. Social interaction was not his strongest suit. Human beings had evolved past human companionship. Modern technology was proof that the species could survive without it. And he didn't want to go. It was making him shake- the very thought of it. So when he showed up and saw a lot of people he nearly passed out. There was some swaying going on. Of no fault of any sickness. Just his general discomfort at the sight of humans. Victoria had noticed someone come up behind her, well two more people. Though she didn’t know the woman she certainly knew the man. “Hello Deacon, how are we today. Other than annoyed by this.” She couldn’t be the only one irritated by the waste of time this was. How she wanted to speak to Anthony and give him a piece of her mind about interrupting the work day with this nonsense. That’s exactly what it was. “Grown adults forced to do evaluations. We have our own healers for that.” They weren’t children. Her eyes moved back to the one man that said, “The healer isn’t even here? Well lovely, we are forced out of our work to stand around and wait on someone who isn’t even here.” She gave a frustrated sign. Seeing a familiar face she did force a smile. “Brad how are you?” Was he enjoying the helping of torturing the ministry employees? “I’ve been wonderful other than this memo I got about interrupting my work day to come here and do something that my own healer is very capable of doing.” Hearing someone else she glanced up and watched as he asked the woman her name and stuff. She could care less about that. “Are you from St. Mungos, because if you are. My appointment is now and I do need to get back to my job. I think you would understand that since you are clearly here to do yours. So can we please move this along.” Tapping her foot in frustration as she looked at the healers. She was very close to turning and going back to her desk she had work to do. "Exactly Brad, we were here before her and we have appointment times." She wasn't trying to be mean, but she had things to do other than be skipped in line just because a younger prettier female was there for the healer to hit on. |
