I loved Brokeback Mountain. It is, hands down, one of the best movies I've ever seen. I cry everytime I watch it. Heath was great in it, as was Jake. I haven't seen too many Heath Ledger films. I loved 10 Things I Hate About You when I was younger. Not so much anymore. I liked Monster's Ball. The Patriot was okay. I'm looking forward to The Dark Knight and seeing him as The Joker. | |

Heath was such a gifted and talented actor who loved his craft. He will be sorely missed.
He was in London this past weekend filming "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus." The status of the film is currently unknown but was scheduled to be released in 2009. Time will only tell if we see his final film role. | |

I just can't believe he is gone. This news is something no one would have ever expected. I had to be told about 5 times, without believing until I saw all the news reports. Heath was such a talent, and will be sorely missed. I can't even watch Brokeback Mountain without getting emotional. Now that Heath is gone, it will only be more emotional. I'm looking forward to seeing The Dark Knight. Apparently playing The Joker took a major toll on Heath. He couldn't even sleep more than 2 hours a night because of how immersed he was in the role, which I hear was a very dark and psychotic role. I'm just still in such shock. | |

I guess they didn't want me to post the report I find on MTV news about heath's passing. I first heard the news on aol.com, and when I saw it I was in disbelif I was like no, no he's not dead their lying. So I went to mtv.com and saw it there saying he had died and what the police had found.
I keep watching the news about him, and everytime I do I'm just still shocked, how can he be dead? He was one of my fav actors. I wasn't gonna go see the dark Knight (the last film he was in), but after all this I want to go see it to see him in his last movie role.
My heart, and prays go out to him, and his family. I feel soo bad for his daughter Matilda who will grow up never knowing her father. I myself can relate my father passed away in '96 when I was only 9 years old. Yes, I was 7 years older than she is, but still I can relate to her. It's hurt, because I can't really remember my dad all that much...some memories, but still. She is just too young to probaly remember all the things she has done w/her dad...when she gets older all she'll have are pix, the movies he's done, and the stories she will hear from his friends, family, and her mother.
This is just truly terrible...I still can't believe he's gone. We all Love u heath and will miss you, and your smile  | |

Would you believe that a FOX News correspondent actually mocked and joked about Heath's death just because he was in Brokeback Mountain? And that there is a church who's going to protest at the funeral because he played a gay character? These people are disgusting and disrespectful and can't differentiate between acting and reality. Brokeback Mountain is one of the most beautiful films I have ever seen. | |

my friend and i were working on an English project on the computer, and when we saw the notice, we wouldn't believe it. then we went to the tv, and it said "up next Heath Ledger's death..." and we started freaking out. I didn't think I could be so affected by an actor's death. But this hit hard. the next day, everyone in school was talking. It was aweful. He was such a fantastic actor. Of all the movies I've seen him in, I love the Patriot best. And my friends and I who never planned on seeing the Dark Knight, are now going to, to pay tribute to such a great actor that touched our hearts. RIP Heath  | |

He had a magnetic presence onscreen. I've admired him ever since '10 Things I Hate About You,' and I was looking forward to seeing him as the Joker. Now it just feels a little too eerie =/
There are two things for which we should be most sorry: that Heath won't have more time with Matilda, as any parent should with his child, and that we will never get to see his talent develop even further, in what was sure to be a fruitful career.
No more movies with Heath. And to be struck down in your prime, no matter the manner, is in itself an accident. Perhaps it is true that only the good die young.
