Heh. Mia seemed to be outright disgusted with the dummy. Well, it was good practice really. You couldn't choose who you had to perform CPR on in real life either so there.

Though...this gave him an idea for the final practical.

Jeremy watched her as she started the chest compressions and with his eyes still on the Hufflepuff began explaining what she was doing. "As you can see-" Hopefully? "-Mia is now applying pressure on the chest, therefore sort of simulating the heartbeat, pumping blood to all the necessary parts of the body." He moved behind the desk so she wasn't blocking the girl from view and moved his fingers to where her hands were, not touching them however. "The hands are placed exactly like Mia has them at the moment." Showing them was way easier than explaining it.

As soon as she had moved on to peforming mouth-to-mouth on the dummy Jeremy went to stand at the dummy's head and proceeded commenting on what Mia was doing. "Now, after 30 chest compressions, you move to the victim's face and while blocking the nose with your fingers so that no oxygen can escape, you place your mouth over the victim's mouth and blow oxygen into them twice." He waited until Mia was done before adding, "And then you repeat the procedure until the ambulance arrives or the victim starts breathing on their own again." Which rarely happened but it DID happen at times.

"Thank you, Mia, you may return to your seat. Well done. 3 points to Hufflepuff." Jeremy grinned at the girl, waiting for her to go back before addressing the class again. "Any questions?" Maybe he SHOULD have chosen a prettier dummy.
