It would've been better if the ingredients didn't have names like food. Treyen was frowning while he made sure the cottage cheese was warm and...
...Half cup of bran cereal. Done.
Two tablespoons of salt. Done.
He took the wooden spoon, yeah, a spoon made of wood, like the ones used in...cooking!...and did the flipping motion that Professor Lafay did, without letting out a much deserved sigh.
Cooking. Frown.

Sweet Merlin! Lafay could be roaming the halls at super sonic speed and no one would ever know. Gah! That woman was snea-ky. Destiny would try and keep her eyes peeled for the Potion's Professor.
Literally tossing (that's what Lafay said to do!) the half cup of bran cereal and two tablespoons of salt into her cauldron, she picked up her wooden spoon and started folding the contents in the snazzy flipping motion. Too bad she couldn't use the snazzy pizza throwing motion.
That'd be cool.

Once both the ingredients were added she folded them in the same way Professor Lafay had demonstrated. When Alice thought they were mixed in enough she wrote down the two steps in her notebook, and waited for Professor Lafay to instruct them further.

Once her ingredients were folded in enough, she gave it one more good fold before waiting for further instructions.

Woah.What a smell.
They were doing good, but some of them were acting as if they were bored... "Next, take your silver knife and chop your asphodel leaf in small wet pieces. Mix it into the two teaspoons of dragon marrow, and you'll see it swell. Once that happens gently put it into the cauldron." She said, showing them.
