Chapter 12
Ella’s head still throbbed, and the antidote Madam Pomfrey made her nauseas. Still it was day three in bed and she needed to move.
Ella decided to get up early and began to get ready.
“How are you feeling Ell?” Harry seemed concerned
“Doing ok, thanks for asking Harry” Ella gave him a reassuring smile.
Ella looked haggard.
“Listen, Ella I can handle Malfoy for you if you need me to” Ron said very matter of fact.
“I will handle him Ron” Ella smiled at his attempt .
The group got silent, until Ella interjected.
“I want to thank you guys for your support.” Ella blushed
Each one of them nodded at her in a silent attempt of understanding.
They each took a seat in the common room , enjoying the silence of the winter day.
After a few minutes the common room door opened and Professor McGonagall came in.
“You four, come with me.”
“Hmm.. It’s different saying it that way….”
“ Anyways , Proffesor Dumbledore would like to see all of you.
Ella shrugged her shoulders and followed Ron, Harry and Hermione out the door.
Next thing she knew she was standing in Dumbledore’s office with not just the four of them, but Ginny, Fred and George.
“ Umm professor , what are they doing here they wearnt even near me or Draco.” Ella was confused.
“ Awe yes Ella we are not here to talk about the incident at the yule ball.” Dumbledore said all of this with a smile.
“ Then , not to be rude ,but why not?”
Dumbledore smiled.
“Well Ella, Professor Snape did such a great job handling the situation, there is no need to address it.”
“You seven are here because amongst the stresses in today’s world, there are such beautiful things as love.”
Ella looked around wandering if the rest of them were confused.
“The wedding of Sirius Black and Jennifer Greene will take place here on Hogwarts the night of December 31st”
Ella’s mouth dropped. She knew her sister was engaged, but a wedding so fast was mind boggling.
“Sir, Sirius.” “Well this is dangerous.” Harry seemed more concerned that happy like the Ginny and Hermione.
Out of the back of the room a voice with such detest was heard.
“Don’t worry Potter, no one knows about this.” Severus Snape said in almost a whisper.
“That’s right Harry; everyone in this room is the only ones who know about the wedding. Well other than Remus Lupin, Molly and Arthur Weasley.”
“I have entrusted Professor Snape and Professor McGonagall to be on watch.”
“Where exactly is this wedding taking place?” Hermione said
“Shrieking shack” Dumbledore said
All of their eyes were wide.
“Oh don’t worry, Molly Weasley is coming to clean it up and decorate.”
Smiles reached all of their faces.
“So now you have the information, dress nice.” Dumbledore got up and mumbled something about how he loves weddings.
“Be ready at eleven , I will escort all of you to the shack.” “Not a word to anyone.” McGonagall pointed at them and walked out.
They nodded and ran to the common room.
December 31st 11:55
Trying not to look suspicious, they all sat around reading a book occasionally glancing at the clock. They were wearing their Hogwarts robes, but their hair was combed nice and the girls were wearing jewelry.
At exactly eleven, McGonagall ushered all seven Gryffindor’s out of the common room. They walked a distance to the shrieking shack and to their surprise it looked the same on the outside. Actually it didn’t even seem like anyone was there.
“Are they here?” Ginny whispered.
There questions would be answered when they walked in to the shack.
The walls were draped in black and scarlet tapestries. Scarlet ribbons were around the banisters. They walked into what would be a living room to the same tapestries. There were three chairs in front and Four in back. Each chair was in between the one in back, so the back could see. Candles lit the entire room, and it was utterly beautiful.
McGonagall led the way up to the chairs. Arthur and Molly were already sitting in the back.
“Find your name cards on the chairs and sit, Ella come with me.”
She followed McGonagall to a back bedroom where her sister was.
“Ella, I know this is a surprise!”
“To say the least Jenny.”
Jenny didn’t answer back, but she grabbed her wand and spoke softly, so softly Ella didn’t hear what she had said.
“What is going on??” Ella said looking down at her changing attire.
She looked down to see a scarlet dress with a black bow around the waste .
“You need to be dressed for a wedding.”
Ella just smiled. She had never seen her sister so happy.
“Molly is just amazing!”
“I met her a few days ago, and she did all of this to me.”
“ Shouldn’t you have your dress on.” Ella said glancing at her sister.
“Not yet, Its not time.”
“Ella ,come with me.” Molly Weasley popped her head in the door. Her cheery face was filled with a smile.
Ella followed Mrs. .Weasley out the door and around the corner to another small room.
“My new sister , finally we meet!” Sirius rushed to Ella and gave her a hug.
Sirius Black was not the man Ella had seen on the covers of newspapers. He had shoulder length curly hair and a beard that was well trimmed. He was handsome. Well dressed and seemed very happy.
“I have never had a sister!” Sirius said
“I have never had a brother!” They both laughed.
“This is my best man, Remus”
“I have heard a lot about you.” Ella said shaking his hand.
The man was the opposite of Sirius. He had brown mousy hair and his eyes were sunken in. He had nice eyes, that Ella thought she could stare at them forever. He was wearing a tan suit. He looked hurt, but gentle. Ella didn’t second guess what the others said about his teaching methods.
“Ok, Ella we will need to be upfront, by Dumbledore” “ The ceremony will be starting.” Lupin hooked her arm in with his and they walked out of the room.
The candles in the large room had dimmed and A large podium stood up front. Dumbledore was in robes of silver and black and Remus stood on one side and Ella on the other.
Ella noticed that deep red roses were spread throughout the floor, and they were not there before.
All was quiet until Sirius walked in and stood next to Lupin.
She noticed he winked at Harry and he smiled back.
At eleven thirty on the dot, music played from a violin. It was lovely and heartfelt.
Then her sister walked through the archway into the view. The little group of people gasped. Even Ella did. She looked amazing. It was simple. Her hair was in a clean bun, her veil acting like it was protecting her. Her dress was down to the floor and a black sash circled her hips. Her bouquet had deep red roses with black lilies.
Ella couldn’t help but to cry. She was so happy for her sister.
Ella had been to a few muggle weddings, but rarely did she go to wizard ones. Her family was pretty secluded in Ohio.
“Take out your wands.” Dumbledore said in a soft tone.
“Put the tips together.” They did as instructed.
Dumbledore drew his wand and began circling theirs and beautiful flashes of gold and red lights were like sparklers on the fourth of July.
“True Love is hard to find.” “By the joining of the wands, it will show that you two will be mated for life.” “No other man or women will come in between.”
“Do you Sirius Black take Jennifer Greene to be your wedded wife?”
“I do” Sirius glanced at Jennifer and smiled.
“Do you Jennifer Greene take Sirius Black take to be your wedded husband?”
“I do” At this point Jenny started to cry.
There wands were still connected when Dumbledore said
“You may now kiss your bride”
When their lips met there wands glowed.
She heard Harry whisper “ Happy New year”
