Emma: I imagine that was great fun. So basically you pretty much bonded with everyone around you? Any nerves when the camera started rolling? What did you guys say to pretend you were talking as Hogwarts students do in the background?
Christina: Yeah I got to know a few people, and we had a lot of fun playing around with the things on the table, haha. There were no nerves at all when the cameras were rolling; you just had to get on with pretending to study! I did feel a bit silly doing the same thing every single time, though. In the scenes where the actors talked we actually weren’t allowed to make any noise at all, we didn't talk. But the day when no actors were speaking, we just tried to act normally, talked about normal things.
Emma: What was it like, being present and partly watching Harry Potter being acted out before your eyes?
Christina: Totally unreal. Very strange to see people for real who you'd only ever seen before on a screen. And you can see that although they're having fun, they're also very professional and do their job properly. So when the camera had passed by us, we all craned around to watch what they were doing and trying to hear what they were saying.
Emma: What did you think of the film once you’d seen it?
Christina: It was very interesting. You could tell there was a new director; everything about it was very different. I'm not sure if it's better or worse, but I really liked it, and especially enjoyed looking out to see if i could see myself!
Emma: Did you get to go to any official events following filming?
Christina: Only the wrap party and Cast & Crew premiere.
Emma: What was the wrap party like?
Christina: It was brilliant! I was really excited to see if i could spot any stars. I walked past Tom and had to do a double-take because all his blonde hair had been shaved off! It was in a huge marquee but there were hundreds of people there, very squashed. The food was undercooked... I had to throw away a burger! I had candy floss to make up for it, though. And at the end, there was a magnificent firework display with the Hogwarts choir music playing. I was standing near Devon who was dancing about a bit to the music.
Emma: so everyone had fun then?
Christina: Yeah despite the rain!
Emma: What was the premiere like?
Christina: Actually I think I was at the premiere without all the huge crowds. I realised me and my mate were standing by Chris Rankin, he looked very cool.
Emma: Oh so one of the first showings of the film to those who made it?
Christina: yeah it was mainly a thank you to all the crew for all their work, although some actors did turn up for it.
Emma: Who else was there?
Christina: well there was Chris, Devon (if i remember rightly) and the guy who plays Crabbe, Jamie.
Emma: Did all the extras get to see the film before hand? Did they all go to the wrap party?
Christina: no, I only got to go because my uncle can get tickets.
Emma: Any plans to be in GoF or go to any other parties, what about the PoA DVD Launch?
Christina: I am apparently too old to be in another of the films, although my brother should be in Goblet of Fire.
Emma: Too old? That hardly seems fair when a lot of the actors are older than their characters.
Christina: I don't really understand why I'm too old! I'm only 17... My brother's mate knows the double for Tom Felton, and they've all played football together. He turned 15 in July.
Emma: What did you take away from your experience? Has it inspired you to work in films and if so, how?
Christina: I found it very interesting. It wasn't just about being in a Harry Potter film, it was great to see just HOW films are made. And I've now started a course which concentrates on how films are made, production techniques etc and it's going very well. I'm hoping this will lead to a job in television or film.
