Professor Vindictus walked slowly around the interior of the shed as he watched the students work.

"Don't rub too hard - gently apply the polish."

"Whoa, careful there with the amount of polish on your rag. Too much polish and you're gonna have a hard time when you buff the stuff off the handle."

Constructive criticism never hurt anyone.....

After twenty minutes of careful observation, he returned to his position at the front of the class.

"When you're finished applying polish to the entire handle, wait two minutes before grabbing the clean cloth to buff the handle to a mirror-like shine," he said and closed the lid on the handle polish tin. "Again, use the clean rag. Gently apply pressure as you buff off the polish haze in a small circular motion. If you did it right, you should be able to see your reflection on the broom handle."
