Looking at the scarf, she thought this would be pretty easy. A scarf was quite a bit like a bracelet, yes? Without trying very hard, she thought, "Reverto!" but nothing happened. Maybe this was going to be harder than she thought. Trying again, she concentrated really hard and.... "Reverto!"

yeaaah.... nothin.

Sighing, she put down her wand for a moment and skimmed her notes, looking for something that might help her. For some reason, she had heavily underlined the word Properties in her notes. Thinking hard, she tried to remember what he had said about properties. She had been the first to bring up the word, and he had praised her for that, but what else had he said? Something about imagining clearly the properties of your original object. Closing her eyes for a moment, she pictured her bracelet. She could see it clearly in her mind: the diagonal stripes made of knotted string...

Concentrating very, very hard on these properties, she thought, "Reverto!" And was very excited when her scarf began to transfigure! Except... it didn't shrink in size. The scarf remained the same size, but it was now a giant replica of her friendship bracelet.

Right. Raising her hand, she said, "Um... professor?"
Returning to the Hufflepuff as she asked for assistance, he smiled. "That is quite well done for your first attempt at a nonverbal transfiguration, Miss Ballard. You should be quite proud"

Giving the giant bracelet a quick glance, he added, "Keep at it. And if when I call time you still haven't managed, you can finish verbally."

"I can try it....and I don't need to talk," Need to want to, same difference. "But thank you, Professor. I'll remember your offer." It meant a lot to her his offer, and if she did decide to talk, he was most definantly on the list of people to talk to.

Turning from Kingsley she faced the frisbee and twirled it between both her hands, studying the frisbee. "Looks like a frisbee, but its still sun shades...." She mumbled to herself as she continued to study the frisbee. Placing it on the desk, she picked up her wand and taped it against her head for a moment, atempting to focus before giving it a wave, "Reverto!"

The frisbee didn't changed it's physical form. Arya taped her head with her wand again, as if trying to rid herself of the thoughts running through her mind. Frisbee to shades...frisbee to shades...frisbee to shades....
Preston nodded at the young 'puff before moving away, pleased to see her attempts.

Why was she getting the ginormous things!? And, what in the world was it? A big...blue...plastic circle. She couldn't even begin to think of what this was used for. But she noted that it was hard, unlike the limp rope she had before. Which would probably make this easier to transform back into her bracelet.

Moving the blue plastic circle around on her desk, or at least trying to, she might as well hit some people in the head to the sides and in front of her desk... she finally just let it sit there, half on and half off. Okay. So, it was smooth, blue, plastic, hard, round, big, and in a circular shape.

Which then it needed to be transfigured to a small, coil shaped, engraved, silver snake. Well they both had the 'hard' part in common, even though the round circle thing was a bit squishier than her bracelet...but that was one less thing she had to really concentrate on.

Imagining and concentrating on the big round blue circle turning into her bracelet, Evelyn decided this time she should try the spell with her eyes open. "Reverto." she said, with another light swish of her wand. Her smile turned into a smirk as she noticed the blue round circle start to show signs of the engravings and color of her bracelet. And there...there was the snake's head! And the tail and... and the tail coiled like it was supposed to but...

It stopped then. Frowning, she waited for a few more moments to see if it was going to do anything else, but alas...nothing happened.

So now she was stuck with a bracelet the size for a baby giant. Fantastic. At least she got it to turn to silver on the first try this time. There was a plus. Now, just how was this desk holding up that weight...
Preston took little notice of the giant silver bracelet, confident that the student would manage.

Re-ver-toe. Re-ver-TOE. All right. He could do this. Fletcher rolled up his wrinkly, stained sleeves and flourished his wand, with his other hand out for balance. Re-ver-TOEEE, he thought strongly in his head, concentrating on an image of the pink cupcake from earlier.

The boy flicked his wand and thought it again. Re-ver-TOEEEEEEEEE!

And there was a little poof of smoke and the pygmy puff was gone, replaced by a...

"Furry, yellow cupcake?" Fletcher tilted his head and stuck a pinky out to swirl off some of the sticky icing. He stuck his finger in his mouth and then started coughing. "Ewwweeww gross. This ain't my cupcake."
Preston watched the boy, amused, but not visibly so. His face only showed a momentary flicker of disgust as the boy tasted the furry cupcake. "Mister Fletcher, may I suggest you give the spell another attempt?"

He looked back at his desk... and it was bird-less. Uh... that wasn't good. Fortunately, the peacock moved slowly, and was strutting it's way towards the front of the class.

"Oy, get back here you!" Kellen got up and grabbed the bird by the tail feathers, glad that its tail wasn't currently fanned. He hauled it backwards and adjusted his grip around its middle, ignoring the irate look it sent his way.

This... was going to take a while.
Turning toward some commotion out of the corner of his eye, Preston raised an eyebrow. "Difficulty, Mister Stern? Please see that the bird does not wander the classroom."

There was a keyhole where the watch face should be.

Crap

So he tried it again, invisioning what it should look like deep within his thoughts.

"Riverto!"

It spun again, this time looking much akin to its last transformation, and he hurried to open it before declaring his victory. Yet...it was stuck.....

He pried it apart and it was the normal watchface, ticking away cheerfully. He had done it....he was not too proud of himself though....and only through a trail of failures did he actually get to the destination.
Continuing his pacing around the room, Preston stopped to observe the young Mister Danford, who seemed displeased, even after his success. "It takes a fair bit of practice. Well done. It will get easier."

Once more, Professor Kingsley took a lap around the room, transfiguring the items of students who had not previously had an item changed. There. Now nearly everyone, except those who were finished and working on their notes, was set up to try the spell.

ooc: That's it for me for today. Keep working on your untransfigurations, but know that if you need Prof. Kingsley, it'll be a bit of a wait. Consider the above my transfiguring your item into something else. Below there's a list for those of you who already named what your original item is but hadn't had it changed yet. If you can't find your name or haven't posted in the thread yet, you can make up what Professor Kingsley turned it into with the following guidelines. 1st-4th year, inanimate. 5th-7th year, animal; spell to be attempted nonverbally.

SPOILER!!: Your item was transfigured into.... (for those who I did not tell individually IC)
