Preston smiled at the young girl, before tapping her locket and turning it into a saucer.

Looking at the pendant perhaps a little hesitantly, Preston tapped it as he walked by, turning it into a bouncy ball.

Preston rested the box on her desk. "There's a chance you won't be able to change it back right away. There's a whole bunch of random stuff in this box that you can pick from, if you'd like." Preston didn't much like the idea of folks taking things off themselves. Obviously, if they wore it, it was important.

Preston walked by, smiling. "Excellent description. Now, think about how the properties changed and imagine that change in your head. Imagine the necklace shrinking back down, how the colors change. Then, try the spell!" Preston smiled encouragingly before moving on.

"Re-ver-toe," Selena said as she waited for the pillow to turn into the scarf. It didn't work.

Selena sighed and closed her eyes. 'IT's a knite green and silver scarf, a hole is hidden somewhere around the middle and there's a brown stain at the bottom,' Selena thought. "Revertoe," Selena said. Oh gosh. It looked ridiculous now. The green and silver striped pillow had turned into a scarf... with a pillow on one end and the pillow had stains on it. Ew. She wanted the pillow to nap on!
Preston watched the slytherin have difficulty with her item. It was to be expected, of course. "It's alright, keep trying," he said, encouragingly. "It might help to think about the new properties of the item and then think about the difference between the two. Then, you can focus on things like 'getting softer' or 'stretching out' instead of just picturing the old item."

Oh! JEEZ! Sneak up on her why don't he! frowning, since now she had to calm her racing heart beat down, the Slytherin placed the snake bracelet down on the desk and turned back to looking up at the professor that was standing NEXT to her. "Sorry."
"Quite alright. I'm glad to see you examining your item so diligently." Once she placed it down, he gave the bracelet a tap, transforming it into a jumprope.

Practicing the spell in her head as the professor went around transforming everone elses objects, too, She read through what she'd written, to focus on what her bracelet looked like to begin with.

Any questions? Iris wasn't sure if 'can we start now?' was a good question to ask.. So she just went back to practicing the spell under her breath before attempting to turn the clock back into the bracelet..... "Reverto... Re-ver-TOE... reverto..."
Preston walked by, smiling. "Good good. It sounds like you have the pronunciation right. Give it a go when you think you're ready."

And in the next second, she looked at her desk, and immediately jumped from her seat grabbing her wand off the desk. There was a black and yellow snake uncoiling itself on her desk. Oh this was not good. This was SO way more than just review. Point her wand at it, she stammered, "R-Reverto!" but the spell didn't work, did nothing more than send sparks flying at the beast.

And now the snake was angry. It hissed madly and slithered off her desk onto the floor with a thud, and then it took off down the rows. Wow it moved fast for something without legs!

Cadence chased after it, wand still trained on it's slithering body, and shouted, "Immobulus!" causing the snake to stop moving. Looking at the silly thing, she reached down and picked it up, moving it back over to her desk and setting it down. With a flourish of her wand she said, "Reverto!" and the snake turned back into her harmless little bracelet.

And with that, Cadence plopped back down into her chair, looking up at the Professor as if to ask what next.
Oh dear. Preston stepped out of the way as the girl immobilized the snake before turning it back into her bracelet. "Quick thinking, Miss Ballard, however... I would like you to try the spell nonverbally, as well. I'm sorry if the snake gave you a fright. Would you like me to change it to something else, this time?"

Weight: light
Defining markings: it's snapped at the tip and had black stains on it

Ehgad took out his wand and waited for the Professor to change his broken quill.

He would start practicing "revertoe" on his new transfigured item.

Ehgad's stomach grumbled as he thought about the cupcakes the other kid had. The urge to steal was strong. He would have if he didn't have to concentrate on the spell. ::
Making his way over to the corner, Preston tapped the broken quill, transfiguring it into a drumstick.

"No, sir. You may transfigure my locket."
Preston nodded. "Very well, Miss Force." With a tap, the locket had become a small statue.

"Excellent choice of item, Mister Greenwood," Preston offered with a smile. "Remember, based on your age, I would like you to try this spell nonverbally, first." Tapping the frisbee, which continued to wheeze unpleasantly, it was transfigured into a bat.

"Do not be alarmed. It will not fly and will not bite, I assure you."

"Remember," Professor Kingsley addressed the whole class. "Take note of the specific properties of your new item as well. When you visualize, you should imagine those properties shifting back to your original item."
